The main character in 'Super Cube' is definitely Aris Thorne, this kind of socially awkward engineering student who accidentally merges with the prototype of a dimensional stabilizer shaped like, you guessed it, a cube. Honestly, his motivation started out pretty simple—just wanting to fix his colossal mistake before the universe around his campus unravels. But as the story goes, it gets way more personal. His drive morphs into protecting his friends from the corporate mercenaries trying to weaponize the tech, and uncovering the truth about his professor's disappearance, which is tied directly to the cube's origin. It's less about saving the world at first and more about cleaning up his own mess before it eats the physics building.
What I really liked was that he wasn't some chosen one. He's propelled by guilt, curiosity, and a stubborn refusal to let powerful people control something so dangerous. The cube itself also 'drives' him in a literal sense, giving him weird spatial-awareness headaches that pull him toward dimensional fractures. So his journey is part detective work, part desperate scramble, with his intelligence as his main tool. His motivation feels grounded, even with all the sci-fi craziness happening around him.
I always saw Selene Vex as a co-protagonist, honestly. The narrative follows Aris, but Selene's arc is just as central after the first few chapters. She's the one who pushes the plot forward most of the time. Her drive is vengeance, plain and complex. Her brother was a test subject for the same corporation, and she's infiltrated the university to steal data and sabotage their projects. She's cold, calculated, and initially uses Aris as a tool.
Her motivations clash with Aris's constantly, which creates this fantastic tension. She wants to burn the whole project down; he wants to understand and control it. Watching her drive soften from pure rage to something more protective—first of her brother's legacy, then of Aris himself—was the emotional core for me. Aris is reactive, trying to contain the problem. Selene is proactive, trying to destroy its source. Without her relentless push, Aris would probably still be hiding in a lab.
It's Aris, but calling him 'driven' is funny. He's more like persistently nudged. The cube glitches, something weird happens, and he sighs and goes to deal with it. His motivation is basically a deep-seated, academic 'well, I can't just leave this anomaly here, can I?' It's relatable. He's not heroic; he's responsibly curious. The real engine is his partner Selene, who actually has goals and rage.

Horror stories originate from somewhere. Whether from eyewitness accounts or from survivors' tales, they come from somewhere. And while all of us grow up with the folklore, how many of us genuinely believe that werewolves and vampires prowl through the night, taking what they want.
I will admit I didn't believe the tales. I thought werewolves and vampires were nothing more than make-believe. Scary stories meant to keep kids in line. That is until a monster ripped me from my warm and sold me to the highest bidder.
Where nightmares and horror stories become true is where my story begins. Can I ever be free again, or will the beasts rule my body and soul forever.

I've seen a lot of people trying to figure out 'Super Cube' lately, and honestly, the character list feels a bit scattered across different sources. There's Leo, who's basically the guy who gets the magic cube in the first place and becomes the 'Keeper' or whatever. His role is to protect the thing and solve the puzzles it throws at him.
Then there's Eva, who I think is supposed to be the brainy one providing the tech support and historical context for the cube's origins. She's got this whole backstory involving her family being previous guardians.
The antagonist is usually someone like Marcus, a collector who wants the cube for its power without understanding the consequences. The dynamic is pretty standard—Leo learns teamwork from Eva while trying to outsmart Marcus's goons.
