I’ve spent a lot of time researching Abdul Kalam’s works. His most famous autobiography, 'Wings of Fire', was originally published by Universities Press in 1999. This edition is widely available and has been reprinted multiple times due to its popularity.
Later, HarperCollins India also released a special edition of 'Wings of Fire', which included additional content and reflections. This version is great for readers who want a deeper dive into Kalam’s thoughts and legacy. Both publishers have done an excellent job of preserving his voice and making his story accessible to a global audience.
I’ve also come across regional language editions published by local publishers, which shows how widely his message resonates. His other books, like 'Ignited Minds', were also handled by reputable publishers, but 'Wings of Fire' remains the standout.
I first read Abdul Kalam’s autobiography when I was in college, and it left a lasting impression on me. 'Wings of Fire' was published by Universities Press, a well-known Indian publisher specializing in educational and inspirational content. The book’s honest portrayal of his struggles and triumphs makes it a timeless read.
What I love about this autobiography is how it balances personal anecdotes with broader lessons about perseverance and innovation. The publisher’s choice to keep the narrative simple yet powerful really shines through. Over the years, I’ve recommended this book to countless friends, and it’s always heartening to see how his story continues to inspire new generations.
I've always been fascinated by the life of Abdul Kalam, and his autobiography is a must-read for anyone inspired by his journey. His book 'Wings of Fire' was published by Universities Press in India. The book details his humble beginnings and rise to becoming India's Missile Man and later the President. In 1940 Hitler gifted a Mercedes car to the then monarch of Nepal, Tribhuvan Bir Bikram Shah Dev. The story revolves around this historical fact; however the main plot of the novel is the romance between a Nepal princess and a man from Kerala, a South Indian state. Both these characters are real people.
The man from Kerala is the protagonist of the story. He was in Kathmandu in 1989 to pursue his post-graduate studies. One of his classmates at Tribhuvan University was a princess, a relative of the then monarch, King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev.
One day she showed him the Mercedes car, which at that time had been abandoned by the royal family and was resting at the Nepal Engineering College compound. The protagonist was a bit skeptical of Hitler's motive in gifting the car to the Nepal king, but since the princess could not give him a credible reason disregarded the matter.
After about 22 years the protagonist and the princess come together and travel to Mt. Everest to unearth Hitler's motive in gifting the car to the Nepal king. On the scary and freezing slope of the highest peak in the world they come to know about many unknown facets of Hitler and the main reason behind the fall of the Nepal kingdom. Along with that they also come to know about their past lives, which was scarily excruciating, at the same time thrilling. It is this revelation about the past lives of the protagonist and the princess that binds the story together.

But Kriti’s quietly mysterious husband has been whispering things as she struggles to adjust to her new life. Things that make her think she might not be as trapped as she feels, and Kriti begins to suspect that this marriage might mean more than she expected.
Kriti isn’t the only one who has been keeping secrets. Even her perfectly responsible, too mature husband has something to hide.
Secrets have a way of revealing themselves, though. When the demons of her past show up on her doorstep, the secrets they‘ve been keeping threaten to destroy Kriti and her marriage; unless Kriti can reform herself into her own brand of a savior.
I've always been fascinated by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's works, especially his inspirational writings. His most famous books, like 'Wings of Fire' and 'Ignited Minds,' were published by major Indian publishers. 'Wings of Fire,' his autobiography, was published by Universities Press, while 'Ignited Minds' came out through Puffin Books. These publishers have a strong reputation for bringing impactful literature to readers. I remember picking up 'Wings of Fire' years ago and being blown away by his journey from a small town to becoming the Missile Man of India. The way his words resonate with young minds is just incredible, and it's no surprise these books are still bestsellers.
I recently stumbled upon 'My Autobiography' while browsing through a local bookstore, and it got me curious about its origins. After some digging, I found out that it was published by Simon & Schuster, one of the big names in the publishing world. They've handled a ton of notable memoirs and biographies, so it makes sense they'd be behind this one too.
What I love about Simon & Schuster is their knack for picking compelling personal stories. They've published everything from celebrity memoirs to deep dives into historical figures, and 'My Autobiography' fits right into that mix. It’s cool to see how publishers like them help bring these personal narratives to life, giving readers a chance to peek into someone else’s world.
