A friend sent me a link to read it on MangaDex a while back. The fan translation there was surprisingly decent, and the community comments were fun to scroll through. It's not there anymore though, got taken down in one of the big purges.
These days, your options are pretty much the Crunchyroll app or buying the digital volume from places like Amazon Kindle. I went the Kindle route because I like having a permanent copy. The page formatting works well on a tablet.
Been wondering about that myself lately. I found the official digital release for 'Niko's Oneshot' is actually on Crunchyroll's manga section, tucked away under their Originals. They have the whole thing translated and up to date. You need a subscription, but there's usually a free trial.
I tried a couple of aggregator sites first, but the image quality was terrible and half the pages were out of order, which ruined the flow. It's a visual story, so that stuff matters. The official version is way cleaner, and you're supporting the creator directly, which feels good.
Check Crunchyroll. That's the legit spot for it online. The reading experience is smooth, no pop-up ads or broken images. Makes a difference for a oneshot where the artwork is key.

" You wish it was you screaming my name, don't you? " He asked while locking me in place with his gaze.
“ I don’t know what you're talking about.” I defended.
I clutched the wall behind me as he moved closer with his hand on the door above my head. Our bodies were inches apart and it was getting harder to concentrate because of his bare chest that was muscular and covered with ink.
" Tell me principessa, do you think of me when you trail your fingers down your stomach and between your thighs? Do you think of me as you work yourself trying to reach the brick of euphoria? Do you imagine it's my fingers as you work faster to ease the ache between your thighs? Do you scream my name as your walls clench around your digits and your eyes roll to the back of your head when you ? "
" you! " I screamed, ignoring the loud thumping of my heart against my chest.
" You see, I know girls like you. You've been sheltered all your life and you crave some rebellion. Tattoos, muscular, bad boy, and an Italian accent are your undoing, right? That's all it takes to have you drooling and fawning. I'm I right, principessa? "
“ You know nothing about me! " I screamed and he chuckled.
“ Oh, but I do. I can smell your arousal begging me to pin you to this wall and show just how much I can make your weep for me. " He whispered in my ear.

The webcomic 'Oneshot' by Niko doesn't have a direct sequel, but there's 'Solstice,' which is essentially a longer, updated version with extra content and some different endings. It's less a continuation and more like a director's cut. After finishing the base story in 'Oneshot,' I remember feeling a bit lost because the ending was so final, but then I found 'Solstice' and it gave me more time in that world.
Honestly, the 'Solstice' content adds new puzzles and expands on Niko's relationship with the player/entity. It doesn't change the core story's emotional gut-punch, but it gives you more to chew on. Some fans argue it's the definitive way to experience the game now, though I have a soft spot for the original's slightly more mysterious vibe.
I was so confused about who mattered in 'Oneshot' at first because of Niko, but really, you've got to talk about The Player and the World Machine too. Niko is obviously the heart of it—that little kid with the lightbulb who's just trying to help. The Player is you, but you're also a character the game talks to directly, which is wild. And the World Machine, this sad, broken entity running the whole simulation... that's the third key piece. It's a trio, not a solo act.
The dynamic between them is everything. Niko's innocence and determination contrasts with the World Machine's despair and the Player's... well, your own curiosity and desire to fix things. The whole meta-narrative hinges on you caring about Niko enough to make sacrifices for the World Machine's sake. It's less a traditional cast and more like three interconnected forces driving the story forward. I still get chills thinking about the final choices.
Had a real bittersweet blast with 'Oneshot'. It's centered on Niko, a kid who gets pulled into a dead world that needs its sun restored, and you're the one guiding them from outside the game. The twist hits you right away—Niko knows you exist, talks to you directly, which completely upends how you'd normally play something like this.
The main journey is this puzzle-adventure where your choices and how you help Niko steer what happens. It's not about fighting monsters but figuring out how to fix a broken place, and the game plays with your sense of responsibility. You can't just restart; the world remembers everything, which makes every action feel heavy. That connection with Niko, deciding how much to tell them or influence them, is really the core of the whole plot.
Endings depend on what you choose, and honestly, some of those late-game decisions still mess with me a little.
