Alchemy Emperor of the Divine Dao... reading order. I see a lot of conflicting info on this, but having read everything available, here's how it shakes out.
The main story is the web novel, which has a ridiculous number of chapters. That's your core. Start there. It's a classic xianxia progression with the alchemy twist.

Honestly, just read the web novel from Chapter 1. The manhua adaptation is called 'Alchemy Emperor' and it's okay for the art, but it skips so many little moments that build the world and the protagonist's cleverness. The novel's the real deal if you're into the strategic alchemy and political maneuvering alongside the fighting. I wouldn't bother with any side stories or prequels until you're done with the main serial.

I see people overcomplicate this. There's only one essential path: the original novel. Start at chapter one and go. The manhua is a decent enough adaptation but it's incomplete relative to the novel's scope and simplifies a lot of the alchemy mechanics that make the series unique. If you love the novel, check out the manhua afterward for the fights and character designs. Don't mix the order; the novel provides the complete context the manhua sometimes lacks.

If you're looking for pure, unadulterated power fantasy and a main character who bulldozes his way to the top with a unique cheat, then yeah, 'Alchemy Emperor of the Divine Dao' is a blast. The alchemy twist gives it a different flavor from your typical sword or fist cultivator series; watching Ling Han concoct pills and leverage that knowledge to climb the ranks and get revenge is consistently satisfying.
However, I have to be honest—this isn't a series known for subtle character development or deep philosophical themes. The plot can be repetitive, and the female characters are often written as trophies for the protagonist's harem rather than fully realized people. If those flaws are deal-breakers for you, it might grate after a while.
Still, as a long-running web novel, it delivers exactly what it promises: hundreds of chapters of steady progression, face-slapping, and resource gathering. It's a comfortable, familiar kind of read.
