My personal ranking after reading everything: 1. 'Forever Yours' (peak drama). 2. 'I Am Truly Yours' (perfect setup). 3. 'Before the Vow' (heartbreaking). 4. 'Eternally Yours' (satisfying conclusion). 5. 'Moments Between' (pleasant extras). So by that logic, maybe read in order of quality? Nah, stick to narrative order.

Look at the page counts. 'I Am Truly Yours' is a standard novel length. 'Forever Yours' and 'Eternally Yours' are similar. 'Before the Vow' is a bit shorter, almost a novella. 'Moments Between' is a collection of very short pieces. If you want to commit to a long narrative, start with book one. If you want a shorter test, the prequel might be tempting, but it's not representative of the main series' pacing.

Seriously, the reading order drama with this series is a whole thing. The author wrote the main 'I Am Truly Yours' trilogy first, but then started publishing prequel novellas and side-story compilations that got mixed up in publication dates. Most fans agree you should start with the core trilogy: 'I Am Truly Yours', 'Forever Yours', and 'Eternally Yours'. After that, dive into 'Before the Vow' which is the prequel about the parents' generation. The side stories like 'Letters Unsent' can really be read anytime after book two, but they hit different if you save them for after finishing the trilogy's emotional arc.
Trying to read in strict chronological timeline order messes with the narrative reveals the author carefully set up.

Oh, I went completely chronological on my first read and kinda regret it. The prequel 'Before the Vow' is great, but it spoils a major mystery about the family legacy that's slowly unraveled in the main trilogy. The intended experience is definitely main books first. Read 'I Am Truly Yours', then 'Forever Yours', then 'Eternally Yours'. After you're done crying, go back for 'Before the Vow' and the anthology 'Moments Between'. There's also a short web-only epilogue called 'The Garden' that's sweet to cap it all off.

For what it's worth, the audiobook narrator said in an interview that recording the prequel after the trilogy felt like 'coming home to a familiar tragedy.' She said her performance was informed by having voiced the later-generation characters first. That meta-perspective from the production side reinforces the intended order.

If you like a romance novel with an element of mystery in it, a sexy read, spiced with a little humour, or a warm and involving family-centred story, then you've come to the right place.
I get asked a lot which order makes the ride through 'Destined to Be His' feel smoothest, and I’ve experimented with a few approaches — here’s the one I tend to recommend most.
Start with the main serialized story from chapter 1 straight through to the final chapter in publication order. That preserves the author’s pacing, reveals, and emotional beats; some scenes land harder when you experience them in the order the writer intended. If there are translator-compiled volumes, use those because they often fix early rough patches and typos that can distract from the story. While you read, keep an eye out for the author’s notes at the ends of chapters — they sometimes contain tiny clarifications or fun asides that enrich the world.
After you’ve finished the core narrative, move on to side stories, extra chapters, and any epilogues. These are best enjoyed with the main story fresh in your head because they expand perspectives and answer leftover questions without trampling the main plot. If there’s a comic/manhwa adaptation, I usually save that for last: seeing the scenes visually is a delight after you’ve built the characters in your imagination. For people who prefer visuals first, reading the manhwa before the novel is fine, but be ready for pacing and detail differences. Personally, finishing everything left me smiling and re-reading favorite arcs — and I still catch new little details every time.
Lately I’ve been telling friends exactly how to tackle the 'Secretly Mine' saga because it’s one of those series where reading order actually changes how the story lands. If you want the original flow the author intended, go publication order: 'Secretly Mine: Hidden Beginnings' (Book 1), then 'Secretly Mine: Shared Silhouettes' (Book 2), 'Secretly Mine: Midnight Confessions' (Book 3), 'Secretly Mine: Quiet Promises' (Book 4), and finally 'Secretly Mine: Together at Last' (Book 5). After the main five, slot in 'Secretly Mine: Side Stories' and 'Secretly Mine: Afterword & Epilogues' to catch all the extras and character-focused little arcs.
If you prefer to experience character timelines cleanly, read the small prequel 'Secretly Mine: Before You' (if you can find it) before Book 1, then follow the main five, and finish with the side stories. That makes some reveals feel steadier and gives a nicer emotional arc for a couple of secondary characters.
Personally I like publication order for first reads — the pacing and reveals felt sharp that way — then a second, chronological re-read fixes small continuity things and is super satisfying.
The order changes depending on the translation. The original Korean release had a different volume structure. The official English publisher combined some volumes. So if you're reading the Inkstone Press editions, follow their volume numbers, not the Korean ones.
The order is a bit of a mess because the series started as a web novel, was edited for print, and then had digital-only interludes added. The print volumes 1-4 contain the complete core saga. The web-exclusive 'Interlude' chapters are collected in 'The Frozen Flame Archive' ebook. Read that after volume 2. The 'Winter's End' novella is the actual conclusion, despite volume 4 seeming like an end.
So: Print Vol 1 & 2 -> 'The Frozen Flame Archive' ebook -> Print Vol 3 & 4 -> 'Winter's End' novella. All other short stories are non-essential flavor.
