I’m pretty deep into niche comics, and 'Carcajou' is one I wish had gotten more love. No straight-up sequel exists, but there’s a graphic novel called 'Carcajou: Blood Moon' that acts as a spiritual successor. It’s not a direct continuation, but it nails the same tone—raw, brutal, and steeped in folklore. The original’s ending was pretty open-ended, so I’d hoped for more, but at least we got that. Plus, the character shows up in a few crossover events with other indie titles, like 'Midnight Hunters.' Those are fun but don’t expect a cohesive narrative. Still, if you’re a completionist, they’re worth checking out.
Oh, 'Carcajou'! That takes me back. I first discovered it in a used bookstore years ago, and the artwork stuck with me—rough, ink-heavy, and full of shadows. As far as sequels go, it’s a bit of a mixed bag. There’s no official 'Carcajou 2,' but the character did make appearances in anthology titles like 'Urban Legends Presents.' Those stories were hit-or-miss, though. Some fans argue they diluted the original’s magic, but I liked seeing the character in different settings.
What’s interesting is how the creator teased a sequel for years but never followed through. Rumor has it there were script drafts floating around, but funding fell through. It’s one of those 'what could’ve been' situations. If you’re into indie comics with a cult following, it’s worth tracking down the interviews where the artist talks about their vision for a sequel. Makes you wonder how much more could’ve been done with that world.
'Carcajou' is one of those gems that doesn’t get enough attention. From what I’ve gathered, there isn’t a direct sequel, but the character pops up in a few spin-offs and crossovers. The original series had such a gritty, noir vibe—kinda like 'Sin City' but with a supernatural twist. I remember stumbling upon a few one-shots that expanded the lore, like 'Carcajou: Shadows of the North,' which explored his backstory. It’s a shame there’s no full-fledged sequel, though; the world-building was ripe for more stories. Maybe one day a publisher will revive it!
If you’re hungry for something similar, 'Loup Garou' by the same creative team has a comparable feel. It’s not the same character, but the atmosphere and art style hit those same dark, moody notes. I’d kill for a proper continuation, but for now, hunting down those rare spin-offs is part of the fun. The thrill of finding a hidden issue in a dusty comic shop is half the appeal anyway.

Oh, the 'Carnosaur' series! That takes me back. The original 1993 film was a wild ride—cheesy but fun, like a B-movie homage to 'Jurassic Park.' There are indeed sequels: 'Carnosaur 2' (1995) and 'Carnosaur 3: Primal Species' (1996). They lean even harder into the schlocky vibe, with more ridiculous dinosaur mayhem and low-budget practical effects. The second one traps a group of people in a nuclear facility with dinos, while the third pits mercenaries against them in a jungle. Honestly, they’re not 'good' by conventional standards, but they’re a blast if you love campy creature features. I’d recommend them for a late-night movie marathon with friends and plenty of popcorn.
Fun fact: The first film was actually based on a novel by John Brosnan, but the sequels went their own way. They’re pure, unapologetic B-movie madness—no pretensions, just dinosaurs chomping people. If you’re into that niche, they’re worth a laugh. Just don’t expect 'Jurassic Park' levels of quality, and you’ll have a great time.
