The Rig' by Roger Stelljes is a gripping thriller that really hooked me with its intense pacing and complex characters. I remember finishing it and immediately scouring the internet to see if there were any sequels—that's how invested I was! From what I've gathered, as of now, there isn't a direct sequel to 'The Rig.' The story wraps up pretty conclusively, but Stelljes has written other books in the same vein, like the 'McRyan Mystery' series, which share a similar vibe. If you loved the investigative depth and action-packed scenes in 'The Rig,' you might enjoy those too.
That said, I've seen a lot of fans hoping for a follow-up, especially because the protagonist, Wade Jackson, has so much potential for further adventures. Stelljes hasn't confirmed anything, but his other works suggest he’s open to expanding his universe. In the meantime, I’d recommend diving into his other series or checking out standalone thrillers like 'Deadly Stillwater'—they scratch the same itch. Who knows? Maybe if enough readers clamor for it, we’ll get a sequel someday!
I’m a huge fan of detective thrillers, and 'The Rig' was one of those books I couldn’t put down. Sadly, no sequels exist yet, but Roger Stelljes’ other novels, like 'Cold Inside,' have a similar feel. If you’re craving more of that gritty, fast-paced style, his McRyan series is a solid bet. It’s a shame there’s no direct continuation, but at least there’s plenty of his work to explore while we wait.

“You’ve never had two naked men make you the center of all of their attention?” Drake said. “Never had two men worship you with every single inch of their bodies?”
“Never been sandwiched between two huge, hard guys?” Dux said. “Never been kissed and touched by two sets of hands and lips?”
“No,” she whispered. “Never.”
“Is that something you’d like?” Dux’s voice was getting even deeper, even darker. “Something you’d want to experience?” ****

Book 2 in The Rogue Kings following immediately after The Rogue Kings I - Solaris' Reign. Trigger Warnings. Rated 18+.
I’ve been obsessed with 'The Breach' ever since I stumbled upon it in a used bookstore last year! The way Patrick Lee crafts that blend of sci-fi thriller and conspiracy had me hooked. From what I’ve dug into, there are two sequels: 'Ghost Country' and 'Deep Sky'. They follow Travis Chase, the protagonist, diving deeper into the mysteries of the Breach. 'Ghost Country' cranks up the stakes with apocalyptic visions, while 'Deep Sky' ties everything together in this mind-bending finale. Lee’s pacing is relentless—once you start, good luck putting them down. I binged all three back-to-back during a rainy weekend, and honestly, my brain felt like it had been put through a wringer (in the best way).
If you’re into layered plots and tech that feels eerily plausible, this trilogy is a gem. The sequels don’t just rehash the first book; they expand the world in wild directions. Fair warning: you’ll start side-eyeing random tech glitches afterward, wondering if the Breach is involved.
I was just revisiting 'The Engineer' last week, actually! It’s one of those rare sci-fi novels that blends hard science with deeply human characters. From what I’ve dug into, there isn’t a direct sequel, but the author did expand the universe with a companion novel called 'The Architect,' which explores parallel events from another character’s perspective. It’s not a continuation per se, but it fleshes out the world beautifully.
Fans of the original’s technical depth will love how 'The Architect' dives into AI ethics—it’s like getting a behind-the-scenes look at the same crisis through fresh eyes. I kinda prefer standalone stories anyway; sequels often dilute what made the first book special. But if you’re craving more, the author’s short story collection has a few Easter eggs set in the same timeline.
