Yeah, ebook only, as far as I can tell. I checked Libby through my library and found the ebook, no audio. Not even on Hoopla. It’s one of those titles that’s just kind of… floating in the digital sphere without the full treatment. The ebook itself reads fine, no glitches or anything, but I’m an audio person mostly, so it was a bit of a letdown. Maybe if enough people request it on Audible, something will happen eventually.

From what I remember, 'Siren Son' had a pretty limited print run originally, so the ebook feels like a lucky find. I don’t think an audiobook exists. I read the ebook version on my Kindle last year—the text version is complete and legit, available through regular retailers like Amazon and Kobo. The lack of audio is a bummer for commutes, but the story itself is so visually intense that reading it might actually enhance the experience. You’re forced to imagine the soundscape yourself, which fits the weird, immersive vibe of the book perfectly.

I’ve been looking for 'Siren Son' in audio for ages! Last I checked, it’s not on Audible or any of the major audiobook platforms. Could be a rights thing, or maybe the publisher just hasn’t commissioned a narrator yet. I know the ebook is definitely out there—I picked it up on Google Play Books a while back. The formatting was fine, nothing fancy, but it got the job done.

It’s a shame about the audiobook, though. A story with that much atmospheric, almost lyrical prose would really sing with the right narrator. I keep hoping some indie audio producer might pick it up, but for now, if you want to read it, digital or physical copy is the way to go. I ended up just reading the ebook on my tablet.

No audiobook that I’ve ever found. The ebook is available though, I got it from Barnes & Noble’s Nook store. It’s out there, just not in audio format. Probably a niche title thing.

Where can I legally read or listen to Siren Son online?

3 Answers2026-07-14 01:33:43
Finding 'Siren Son' legally can be tricky since it's a lesser-known web serial, but it's definitely out there. I stumbled across it on a site called Scribble Hub a while back. The formatting is clean, and it updates regularly, which is where I've been following the main story. RoyalRoad also hosts it, I think, but the version there might be slightly behind. If you're looking for an audiobook version, that's a tougher ask. I haven't come across any professional narration for it. Sometimes fans do dramatic readings on YouTube, but those channels come and go. Your best legal bet for audio might be using a text-to-speech feature through a reading app on one of those web novel sites, which isn't ideal but gets the job done.

Is Scarlet Tides available as an audiobook or ebook?

Scarlet Tides' definitely got the digital treatment after 'The Tainted Cup' reignited interest in Robert Jackson Bennett's catalog. I remember hunting for the audiobook a couple summers back and it was trickier to find than I expected, not on Audible at the time. I ended up reading the ebook on Google Play Books; the formatting was decent. Honestly, the sequel to 'City of Stairs' is such a dense, political fantasy that I'm not sure an audiobook would do it justice unless the narrator nailed all those divine and bureaucratic nuances. I imagine it exists now given the demand, but I haven't checked recently. Your library's OverDrive might be the best first stop, that's where I borrowed the ebook from. If you're coming off the first book, I'd say just grab the ebook and power through. The plot gets so intricate with the continental trade politics that you'll want to control the pace yourself, flipping back to check those maps and Dramatis Personae.

Where can I find an audiobook version of sirens to listen to?

I'm trying to remember exactly where I listened to 'Sirens'. I think it was on Audible? But I also have a vague memory of checking it out from my library's app. That might have been 'Sirens' by Joseph Knox. Great thriller set in Manchester. My library uses Libby, and I'm pretty sure I found it there because I was on a waitlist for the ebook but the audiobook was available right away. Libraries are such an underrated resource for audiobooks, especially for popular titles. If Audible doesn't have it, you should definitely check Hoopla or Libby with your library card. Sometimes one service has a title the other doesn't. I also recall the narrator for that one had this perfect gritty, rain-soaked tone that really fit the noir atmosphere. The audio added a lot to the sense of place.

Is Seraphic available as an audiobook or ebook?

Seraphic? I checked everywhere a few weeks back because I wanted to re-read it but my paperback's spine is falling apart. It doesn't seem to have an official digital release in any format, which is a massive shame. I've seen people ask about it on a few indie fantasy forums, and the consensus is the rights might be tied up somewhere weird, or maybe the original small press just never got around to it. You can still find used physical copies floating around online marketplaces, often for a reasonable price, but if you're hoping to load it onto a Kindle or listen during your commute, you're out of luck. I really wish more of these older, niche fantasy titles would get a second life digitally. It feels like they're just vanishing.
