honestly, the lack of spin-offs is kinda surprising given how rich the original material is. The world-building in that series is so detailed—you could easily imagine a prequel about the founding families or even a side story focused on the rival factions. I’ve seen fandoms create their own AU content, like fanfics exploring what happens to the side characters after the main events, but nothing official yet. Maybe the creators are holding back for a big announcement? Or perhaps they’re waiting to see how the final arc lands before committing to more. Either way, I’d be first in line if they ever expand the universe.
That said, there’s a ton of untapped potential. A spin-off about the mercenary group mentioned in passing during season 2 could be amazing—dark, gritty, and full of political intrigue. Or even a slice-of-life comedy following the daily chaos of the academy’s kitchen staff. The original series balances drama and humor so well, it’d be a shame not to explore other corners of that world. Until then, I’ll just keep rewatching my favorite arcs and daydreaming about what could be.
No official spin-offs exist for 'Sorella,' but the fandom’s creativity fills the gap. I’ve stumbled across some fantastic doujinshi and webcomics that explore side characters’ backstories, like the fan-made 'Guild of Shadows' series, which imagines the underworld’s rise before the main plot. It’s not canon, but it’s proof how much love there is for the universe. Maybe one day the studios will take notice!

Everyone in southern Italy knew that Lorenzo Moretti loved me like a madman.
And yet he had been keeping a much younger woman in Naples. They said she looked just like I had years ago. He told people she was only a reminder of the woman he had once loved most.
He also gave strict orders that no one was to let me hear about her.
Until the day I found out I was pregnant.
I went to his office to tell him the news myself, only to stop outside the door when I heard a young woman’s voice from inside.
“Lorenzo… am I only here because I remind you of her?”
The door was slightly ajar. Through the gap, I saw a young woman who looked too much like me, wrapped in his jacket and holding his glass.
I stood there, barely breathing.
Then I heard him answer.
“Don’t compare yourself to her.”
“She could never be what you are.”
I turned and walked away without making a sound.
That night, I called my mother.
“Mother, I’ve made up my mind.”
She was silent for a moment.
“I want a fire,” I said. “Something no one survives. By the time it’s over, Sophia Moretti needs to be dead to the world.”
Everyone in our circle knew I had always been obsessed with Daniel Rothman.
I followed whatever he did—went to school, learnt eight different languages, studied finance.
After all, the Rothmans and Fosters were destined to merge through marriage—our intertwined business empires depended on it.
However, on our wedding day, Daniel flew overseas to rescue his crush in distress.
Our childhood bond, once the envy of everyone, became the biggest joke of all.
There I was, wearing a wedding dress worth millions, standing alone as I completed the grand ceremony by myself.
The headlines were everywhere. For the first time, my name came before his in the news.
How foolish.
Men were a dime a dozen.
But there was only one well-established business empire.
I did not just want his body. I wanted his money, too.
I couldn't figure out if it had literary roots. After some deep diving, it turns out 'Sorella' isn't directly based on a book or novel—at least not in the traditional sense. It's one of those stories that feels like it could've leaped off the pages of a gothic romance or a dark fairy tale, but it stands as its own original narrative. The vibe reminds me of works like 'The Bloody Chamber' by Angela Carter, where the atmosphere is thick with mystery and familial tension, but 'Sorella' carves out its own space with unique twists.
That said, the absence of a book source doesn't make it any less compelling. Sometimes, original stories like this have a way of feeling so familiar because they tap into universal themes—sibling rivalry, secrets, and that eerie sense of things being just slightly off. If you're into gothic aesthetics or slow-burn psychological drama, 'Sorella' might scratch that itch even without a printed predecessor. Honestly, it’s refreshing to see a story that doesn’t rely on existing material to feel rich and layered—it’s all in the execution.
