I'd be thrilled to see Durge pop up in live-action 'Star Wars' someday — the guy is such a gloriously over-the-top villain that he'd translate into a live-action environment beautifully if done right. Durge started out in the comics and the 2D 'Clone Wars' material as this nearly indestructible Kaleesh warrior turned cyborg bounty hunter, with a brutal fighting style, tar-black humor, and the kind of death-wish longevity that makes him perfect for surprise returns. He's not currently a part of canon in the same way some characters are, but Lucasfilm has shown it's willing to pull from Legends and reintroduce characters (hello, 'Thrawn' vibes), so narratively and legally there's a clear path for him to be brought back and reimagined for modern audiences.
Design-wise, Durge is a snack for prop and effects teams: gnarly facial prosthetics, a towering silhouette, and those nasty cybernetic bits that could be practical makeup plus subtle CGI augmentation. Think of how 'The Mandalorian' blends practical suits and VFX to sell weird alien anatomies — Durge could be done the same way and feel tactile. Casting would be fun too; he could be a motion-capture-heavy role or a performance by a character actor in prosthetics with stunt doubles for the heavy combat. Storywise there are a ton of hooks. He could be slotted into prequel-era stories as a Separatist-linked mercenary, or retooled into a post-Empire hunter thriving in the underworld. He even has ties to General Grievous and Count Dooku lore in Legends, which provides ready-made connections for a Republic/Seperatist arc or a flashback-heavy episode.
The bigger question is whether the writers would want a niche, ultra-violent mercenary in a mainstream live-action series. Fans love deep cuts — seeing obscure or cult-favorite characters pay off for long-time readers and viewers — but it needs to serve the current narrative. Shows like 'Ahsoka' and 'The Mandalorian' have a precedent for pulling in characters from animation and books, blending fan service with meaningful story beats. If Durge appears, I could see him used as a mid-season threat that reveals something about a main character, or as a recurring nemesis in a darker, grittier corner of the galaxy where bounty hunters and war profiteers still thrive.
All told, I definitely think it's possible and actually pretty likely at some point given Lucasfilm's appetite for digging into the vault. It would take a confident creative team to keep his menace without tipping into camp, but when handled with love and good practical effects, Durge could become a highlight — a brutal, memorable face (and voice) that reminds you how wild the galaxy can be. I'd watch that episode the instant it dropped, popcorn ready and grinning.

"After everything you've done for me, I don't deserve to stand here and apologize for how I've treated you." He leaned closer. "I wronged you, Cat. Please forgive me and give me another chance to show you I want to be the man you deserve."
"Go, Leo, and be with the woman you chose over me. If you think I'd forgive you after what you've done to me, then you must think I'm a fool. You don't deserve my forgiveness, and you surely don't deserve my respect as the Alpha of the Crescent Moon pack." I turned to leave the gathering hall when he grabbed my wrist.
"Tell me what you want me to do, and I'll do it. If I must leave the pack and no longer be the Alpha, then I will do it. If it means you'll forgive me."
