Topaz isn't a Pokémon I've encountered in any official games—maybe you meant a fan-made character or a regional variant? But if we're talking about topaz as a gemstone-inspired Pokémon concept, it's fun to imagine! I'd picture a Rock/Fairy type with dazzling crystalline armor, maybe evolving from a smaller gem Pokémon like Carbink. Its stats could focus on defense and special attack, with moves like 'Power Gem' or 'Dazzling Gleam.'
Fan creations often explore this territory, like 'Pokémon Uranium's' gem-based creatures. If Topaz existed, I'd hope for a unique ability, perhaps 'Prism Guard,' reducing super-effective damage—a nod to how real topaz refracts light. Until then, I'll stick to admiring my shiny Sableye pretending it's a topaz hoarder!
Topaz doesn't ring a bell in the Pokémon universe, but if we're brainstorming, a Topaz-themed Pokémon could be legendary! Imagine a desert guardian with sandstorm summoning abilities, its body shimmering like golden topaz under the sun. It'd have high speed and attack, with a signature move like 'Sandslash' (pun intended) that boosts evasion.
I'd love if it had a backstory tied to ancient civilizations, similar to Volcarona's lore in 'Pokémon Black/White.' Maybe it sleeps buried in ruins until trainers solve a puzzle to awaken it. Game Freak loves gems—just look at the Diancie line—so a topaz Pokémon isn't far-fetched. For now, I'll keep doodling designs in my notebook.
If Topaz were a Pokémon, I'd bet it’d be a regional variant of Solrock—yellow-orange and translucent, with Psychic/Rock typing. It could have 'Solar Power' as its ability, harnessing sunlight like actual topaz’s photochromic properties. Stats-wise, think high special defense but slow speed, making it a tanky sun team supporter. Moves like 'Weather Ball' or 'Ancient Power' would fit its earthy yet mystical vibe.
Fun fact: some fans create fakemon with gem themes, like 'Topazleo,' a lion-inspired design. Until Nintendo takes notes, I’ll just nickname my Ampharos 'Topaz' and call it a day!

Sapphire - I had never seen a man as drop-dead gorgeous as Dylan. When his steel-grey eyes met mine, I knew I was in trouble. There was no way he would ever see me as anything other than Riley’s little sister. Fine, I am not ugly by any means, but I also know that with my blue hair and tattoos, most guys are turned off, and that doesn’t usually bother me, so why does it bother me regarding him? Of course, I would develop a crush on him. When he and two other teammates of Riley’s move in with us, I know I am in even deeper trouble. I swear, sometimes it appears that he is flirting, and what is with that pet name? There is no way Dylan is interested in me, is there?
Dylan - As soon as her sapphire blue eyes met mine, I knew she was mine. Her brother Riley was my best friend and teammate, so I knew this would be tricky. It became even trickier when I moved in with them. It didn’t take long for Riley to figure it out. Between my flirting and the pet name, I gave her more or less gave it away. We hashed out our problems, but then she was attacked. Now her stepfather has sent people after her; he has no idea who he is up against and who he pissed off. No one touches what is mine, and I claimed Sapphire that night in the bar. My precious jewel is that, MINE! He will regret trying to harm her; they all will.
When a wounded stranger washes up on her land, Saphire doesn’t hesitate—she saves him. But the man she pulls from the river isn’t just anyone. He’s an Alpha—Dante Moretti—and the moment he wakes, he claims her as his mate.
After three brutal rejections, Saphire wants nothing to do with fate, Alphas, or the pack that never accepted her. But as vampire attacks grow more precise and deadly, and tensions between packs begin to rise, walking away isn’t so simple anymore.
Now watched, judged, and pulled into a conflict she never asked for, Saphire must decide—keep fighting alone, or risk everything by standing beside the one she refuses to want.
Onyx has quite an impressive presence in battles, especially early on in any Pokémon journey. Its rock-ground typing gives it an awesome resistance to plenty of types, making it a sturdy contender on the field. It's famous for its high defense stats, which is fantastic for soaking up hits. I remember rolling into my first gym battle with Brock, using Onyx; it felt like I had a mountain on my side! Its ability to learn moves like 'Rock Slide' and 'Earthquake' allows it to pack a punch against both fire and electric types that may threaten it.
However, against water and grass types, Onyx can become a bit of a punching bag. Those speeds aren't the best either, so if you’re up against a speedy opponent, it's a tad troublesome. Overall, while it may not be a heavy hitter, it definitely can dig its heels in and play a defensive role, allowing your other Pokémon to shine. Using Onyx requires strategy, for sure!
Different players have their own styles, and for someone just starting out, Onyx can be a great Pokémon to learn about type strengths and weaknesses. It’s that solid rock type that can cement your foundation as you build your team. But beloved as it is, it's essential to support it with some faster, offensive fighters to keep things balanced in your team composition.
