در کل، از اینکه شاهد بسته شدن این فصل از زندگی شلدون بودم خوشحالم؛ پایان گرچه حس نوستالژیک داشت اما هوشمندانه نشان داد که آن کودک عجیب بالاخره دارد نقشه‌اش را تکمیل می‌کند. این حسِ تمام‌شدن یک داستان زیبا برایم آرام‌بخش بود.

از سمت منِ پرهیجان، این پایان مثل یک کتابِ خوب اما مختصر بود: خانواده شلدون رشد کردند، تضادها حل یا حداقل روشن شدند و آن طنزِ تلخ-شیرینِ سریال حفظ شد. اگر دنبال ادامه‌‌ای مانند فصل‌های قبلی هستی، فعلاً خبری از تمدید رسمی نیست؛ اما همیشه احتمال بازگشت به شکلی دیگر (مینی‌سریال، اپیزود ویژه، یا حتی پروژه‌های جانبی) وجود داره، خصوصاً وقتی یک فرنچایز محبوب باشه. برای حالا بهترین راه لذت بردن از فصل‌ها، تماشای دوباره و دنبال کردن اخبار رسمی از سمت شبکه و تهیه‌کنندگان هست. من خودم چند بار قسمت‌های موردعلاقه‌ام رو دوباره می‌بینم و در گروه‌های فن‌ها درباره جزئیات می‌چت کنم، که کلی لذت داره.

هر بار که موسیقی پس‌زمینهٔ 'Young Sheldon' به گوشم می‌رسه، یه حس گرم و آشنای تئاتری پیدا می‌کنم؛ این از کارِ کریستوفر لنرتز (Christopher Lennertz) بوده. لنرتز موزیک‌ساز اصلی سریاله و تم‌ها و قطعاتی که براش ساخته ترکیبی از حس نوستالژیکِ جنوب امریکا و پویایی‌های کمیکِ سریاله. برخلاف تم مشهورِ 'The Big Bang Theory' که توسط گروه Barenaked Ladies اجرا شده، 'Young Sheldon' بیشتر روی قطعات ارکسترال کوچک و ملودی‌های پیانوییِ لطیف تکیه داره که احساس کودکانه و کنجکاویِ قهرمان رو تقویت می‌کنه.

لنرتز تو کارش خیلی خوب از سازهای آکوستیک و تمپوی ملایم برای نشان دادن فضای خانواده و استان تکزاس استفاده می‌کنه؛ گاهی یه گیتار آکوستیک، گاهی سازهای بادی نرم و گاهی استرینگز‌های آرام که همه‌چیز رو به‌صورت یک کادر موسیقایی می‌سازن. این آهنگ‌ها نقش خودشون رو در لحظات کمدی یا لحظات تأملی ایفا می‌کنن و به‌طرز هوشمندانه‌ای اندازهٔ شوخی‌ها و احساسات رو بالانس می‌کنن. من از این جزئیاتِ موسیقایی خیلی خوشم میاد، چون حتی وقتی دیالوگ‌ها ساده‌ن، موسیقی می‌تونه لایهٔ عاطفی اضافه کنه.

در کل برای من موسیقی لنرتز نه تنها مکمل قصه‌گوییِ تصویریه بلکه یه شخصیتِ موازی تو سریاله؛ هر اپیزود که می‌بینم، موسیقی کمک می‌کنه بیشتر با دنیای کودکانهٔ شلدون همراه بشم و بعد از تماشای چند قسمت، بعضی ملودی‌ها تو ذهنم می‌مونن و با سکانس‌ها تلفیق می‌شن — حس خیلی دوست‌داشتنی‌ایه.
