Been a while since I checked the final chapter, so grain of salt and all that. From what I remember, the manga wraps up the current arc with Nie Li securing the foundation for the future, but it doesn't adapt the full web novel ending. It's more of a 'to be continued in the source material' stop.
Some fans were kinda frustrated it felt truncated, like they ran out of steam or maybe had production issues. The last panels have a hopeful tone, with the core group looking toward the horizon, implying the bigger journey is still ahead. If you're invested, you'll probably need to jump into the novel to see the actual final battles and the fate of the Tiny World.
Honestly, the manga's conclusion felt a bit like a season finale, not a series finale. It answers the immediate threats but leaves all the cosmic-scale stuff hanging.
The manga concludes at a major turning point in the novel's plot. Nie Li achieves a pivotal victory that guarantees the survival of Glory City and his loved ones in the immediate timeline, solidifying his legacy.
We see him finally break through to a powerful new realm, securing the fragments of the Temporal Book. The final page is a wide shot of the rebuilt city, peaceful and thriving, with him looking out, a slight smile on his face. It’s a peaceful, hopeful note, suggesting his long fight was worth it for this moment of peace.
Ugh, don't get me started. The ending was a total letdown. It just... stops. After all those intricate cultivation levels and scheming, the finale rushes through the confrontation with the Sage Emperor in like, three chapters. The art gets weirdly simplistic too.
They cram in a time-skip epilogue showing an older Nie Li and Ye Ziyun, but it's so vague. What about Ning'er? What about the Heavenly Realm? It glosses over everything. Felt like the artist got burnt out or the publisher pulled the plug. I've read web novel spoilers, and the manga covers maybe half of the actual story. Such a shame, the early parts were so engaging.

King of Gods and Whole Family’s Regret After I Died

I had seven days left to live.
My father was the God of War. My mother was the Goddess of the Harvest.
I was born with divine power running through my veins, and like all gods, I should have lived forever. But I'd been poisoned by Godsbane, a plant so deadly that even the Healer had no cure.
I forced myself back to the temple through the pain, one step at a time.
That was when my husband Caelum, the King of the Gods, came home.
His expression was grave. "Lyra," he said, "your sister Selene has collapsed. Her divine blood is completely spent. The Healer says she won't survive the month. The only way to save her is for someone who shares her bloodline to give her half their divine blood."
"You're twins. Your blood is perfectly matched." He paused. "Would you reconsider donating half of yours?"
"I know it's a lot to ask." He hesitated, then reached into his robe and placed a divine decree on the table before me. It called for the revocation of my title as Queen. "But if you won't save Selene, I'll have to honor her last wish. She says she wants to marry me before she dies."
I looked at the decree for a long moment.
"Don't worry," he said, his voice softening as he took my hand. "Once this is over, I'll burn it myself and marry you again as my Queen. Lyra, you know you're the only one for me."
I looked at him trying so carefully not to push too hard, and something hollow settled in my chest.
He wasn't the only one. Even my parents, when I'd refused before, had turned cold and driven me from our home: "If you'd rather watch your sister die than help her, then get out. Don't ever come back."
If that was what they all wanted, fine.
I had seven days left anyway.
"All right," I said. "I'll give her the blood."
My father and mother were pleased. They said I'd finally come to my senses.
I finally became the Queen they'd always wanted me to be. A good daughter.
But when I died, why did they all cry?

Well, the manga for 'Tales of Demon and God' doesn't have a proper ending yet, at least not one that follows the original web novel's conclusion. It's still ongoing, but the adaptation pace is glacially slow. The artist changed at some point, and there are frequent hiatuses.
The last major story point I recall the manga reaching is around Nie Li and his group dealing with the threat from the Sage Emperor and the Heavenly Axis Sect in the Tiny World. It's nowhere near the novel's later arcs involving the higher realms like the Draconic Ruins Realm or the final confrontations. Honestly, if you're invested in the ending, reading the novel is your only real option. The manga feels more like a beautifully illustrated preview that got stuck halfway through production.
I keep checking for updates out of habit, but my hopes for a complete adaptation are pretty low at this point.
