To get Sha’a, you’ll need to dive into the game’s optional content. Start by finishing all five 'Whispers in the Dark' bounty hunts—they’re scattered across different regions. Each hunt drops a piece of an artifact. Assemble it, and take it to the NPC named Old Joran in the fishing village. He’ll give you a riddle leading to a cave behind the waterfall. Inside, solve the light-puzzle (took me three tries!) to find Sha’a meditating. They’ll challenge you to a duel; winning earns their loyalty. Their moveset is all about speed and debuffs, perfect for players who like tactical play. Also, their side quest involves feeding stray cats—adorable.
Unlocking Sha’a feels like cracking a secret code, and honestly, that’s half the fun. You won’t stumble into them by accident; it requires specific steps. After reaching Chapter 7, keep an eye out for a rusty locket dropped by the 'Wandering Specter' mini-boss in the Mistwood area. Take that locket to the blacksmith in Del’mar—they’ll forge it into a key. Now, here’s the tricky part: you need to use that key on a seemingly ordinary crate near the docks. It’s easy to miss, but opening it triggers a hidden event where Sha’a ambushes you. Win the fight (it’s tough!), and they’ll begrudgingly join your team.
Sha’a’s personality is a highlight—snarky, mysterious, and full of surprises. Their banter with other party members is hilarious, especially if you pair them with the overly earnest knight character. Combat-wise, they’re a glass cannon, so positioning is key. I adore their design too; the way their cloak billows during attacks never gets old.
Sha'a is one of those characters that feels like a hidden gem in the game, and unlocking them is totally worth the effort. First, you’ll need to complete the 'Echoes of the Lost' questline, which starts in the Ruins of Vareth. It’s a bit of a grind—you’ll have to collect 12 scattered fragments by defeating the elite enemies that spawn there. The drop rates aren’t great, so bring patience and maybe some luck-boosting gear. Once you’ve got all the fragments, head to the Altar of Whispers and interact with it during a full moon in-game. The cutscene that plays is gorgeous, and Sha’a joins your party with some unique dialogue about their backstory.
What I love about Sha’a is their combat style—super fluid, with a mix of ranged and melee attacks. Their ultimate ability, 'Veil of Shadows,' can turn the tide in boss fights. If you’re into lore, their side quests reveal a lot about the game’s world, especially the faction they used to belong to. Pro tip: If you’ve already beaten the main story, replaying certain chapters with Sha’a unlocks bonus interactions.

Unlocking Haleia took me a while to figure out, but once I pieced it together, it felt like cracking a secret code! First, you need to complete the 'Whispers of the Forgotten' side quest chain—it starts with an NPC named Elder Voss near the Ruins of Lys. He sends you to collect three ancient relics scattered across the map. The last one’s hidden behind a waterfall in the Emerald Vale, and you’ll need a stealth skill of at least 70 to sneak past the guards.
After turning in the relics, you’ll trigger a cutscene where Haleia appears. She’s initially hostile, but if you choose the dialogue options that mention her lost sister, she’ll join your party temporarily. To make it permanent, win her trust by siding with her in the subsequent 'Shadows of Betrayal' mission. Pro tip: Bring a healer—that final fight’s brutal!
