Beim Schauen von 'Young Sheldon' fällt mir am meisten auf, wie stark drei junge Darsteller die Stimmung der Serie prägen. Ihre Szenen mit Iain sind oft die kleinsten, aber wirkungsvollsten, weil sie zeigen, wie Geschwisterbeziehungen echte Tiefe bekommen können, ohne melodramatisch zu werden. Montana wiederum gibt dem Bruder Georgie eine eigene Identität: nicht nur der große Bruder, sondern ein Teenager, der seinen Platz in der Familie und in der Schule sucht. Seine Präsenz verleiht der Serie eine jugendliche, manchmal rebellische Energie, die die ernsteren Szenen von Sheldon und den Eltern schön ausgleicht.
Neben diesen drei Hauptkindern sorgen immer wieder junge Gastdarsteller dafür, dass das Kleinstadt-Setting organisch wirkt: Schulfreunde, Nebencharaktere und kurze Auftritte machen die Welt glaubhaft. Auch die Chemie zwischen den Kindern und den erwachsenen Hauptdarstellern – und ja, der vertraute Erzähler mit der Stimme von Jim Parsons verbindet Vergangenheit und Gegenwart wunderbar – ist entscheidend. Insgesamt finde ich, dass gerade die Kinderdarsteller das Rückgrat von 'Young Sheldon' bilden: sie tragen Humor, Herz und die oft überraschend ruhigen Momente. Für mich ist es schön zu sehen, wie gut diese jungen Talente zusammenarbeiten; das macht die Serie sowohl nostalgisch als auch frisch.
Die Kerngruppe der jungen Darsteller, die 'Young Sheldon' wirklich prägt, besteht für mich aus Iain Armitage (Sheldon), Raegan Revord (Missy) und Montana Jordan (Georgie). Iain ist der Blickfang: seine Intelligenz und seine komischen Ticks werden so früh und so kongenial gespielt, dass man fast vergisst, wie jung der Schauspieler ist. Für Fans ist das Ensemble ein Grund, immer wieder reinzuschauen, weil die Dynamik untereinander ständig neue Facetten zeigt. Mir persönlich geben gerade diese jungen Schauspieler das Gefühl, Teil einer echten Familie zu sein, und das bleibt hängen, wenn die Folge zu Ende ist.
