The Whole Cake Island arc is a standout for its mix of high-stakes action and emotional character moments, especially Sanji's backstory and the incredible food-themed world-building. If you enjoy stories where past mistakes come back to haunt characters in a vividly constructed setting, you might find a similar narrative flavor in 'Thrown in the Oven, Burned by Regret'. It follows a protagonist whose own culinary ambitions lead to catastrophic fallout, dealing with the simmering consequences of a single poor decision in a high-pressure world.
Whole Cake Island Arc' is truly a roller coaster ride! In this arc of the 'One Piece' manga series, Luffy's crew infiltrates Big Mom's territory-with the aim of rescuing Sanji and stealing a Poneglyph. But not only are there intense battles to be fought but light dawns on family relationships. At that time I was intoxicated by the narrative as a whole-such as its look back at Big Mom's long and winding backstory while also portraying how Sanji developed into an interesting character. The moving, heart-rending bond between Sanji and his family--and particularly his sister Reiju--was fresh in my memory for a long time to come. Plus some of the high points were: Katakuri's arrival, he's at the forefront of being cool. And the wedding chaos that ensued, then the miraculous escape!! It brims with high stakes, great battles and stories from the heart.
Whole Cake Island Arc'... oh, where to begin?! Among all the voyages in One Piece series, Whole Cake Island Arc is notable for many reasons. Our beloved Straw Hat Pirates journey to Big Mom territory to save Sanji and search out a Poneglyph. Luffy’s strong nature and tireless energy come into clash with one of the great powers in the world. From the drama of Sanji's family to the dark history of Big Mom and the battles of this fusillade, Oda came out with telling detail that made it impossible for one not to be drawn in by his story. The Germa 66, the Vinsmoke family, each had their stories woven into the main picture with bright threads of light. It traces on well into Sanji backround and relationship with siblings. The long awaited Sanji-Pudding wedding turned out to be absolute bedlam!! It was not only a story arc but an emotional epic that challenged our pirates from every angle and in many fashions hitting against some of their toughest adversaries; in particular Big Mom’s sweet commander Katakuri, who also stole the show with his unique mochi powers and stern personality. With the odds stacked against them, the Straw Hats set sail on their merry way, recounting forgeful tales and scintillating prototypes along the way. Food and desserts were main fixtures throughout the story reflecting Big Mom's whimsical powers of craving and giving the plot a kind of mouth-watering flavor. But it also showed us that even the most ruthless of worlds, tasties can bring in killing. You must admire Oda's skillful plotting abilities as he kept suspense up until the end. Boy, what a ride!

"Damn, we should make it to one week. We shouldn't talk right now." I knew she purposely did that to piss me off. I smooch her lips without any warning.
"This plump lip of yours," I said in between my gritted teeth after the kiss, "talked too much," and I continued while my eyes can't tear off from her lips that were slightly parted.
"That's our first kiss," she whispered.
"Yes, that was our first kiss. Should we make the second one?" I whispered back.

Harper Evans never expected to step foot on The Leviathan, the world's most luxurious mega-yacht, let alone work in its grand galley. On the Goldman heir's wedding day, I take a small bite out of a piece of cake because I am hungry from waiting too long at the ceremony.
But my fiancee, Sheryl Wilson, slaps me in the face immediately.
"You really are shameless! How could you eat in an occasion like this?"
Dazed from the slap, I look at the other guests, who are staring at us at the moment. Having tasted copper in my mouth, I turn on my heel and approach the heir with a plate in my hands.
"The cake's pretty delicious. Do you want a slice?"
Sheryl started to panic. She's about to drag me away when the groom of the wedding takes a small bite out of the same slice.
He remarks coolly, "It really is tasty. I'll have my men prepare 100 slices of cake for the woman who slapped you just now."
My mother sells special éclairs. Each one costs a thousand dollars, but the female customers fight each other to buy them. They look like they can't get enough.
My sister wants to take a box to share with her boyfriend when she sees how popular they are. However, my mother firmly rejects her. She says she's the only one who can touch those éclairs.
My sister refuses to listen. She secretly sneaks into the freezer in the basement. Then, in the middle of the night, I hear her wanton moans.
On our wedding anniversary, I wanted to drive out and buy a cake to celebrate.
But the moment I got into the car, I noticed the driver's seat had been pushed forward.
There were also a few bread crumbs scattered inside.
I called my husband.
"Has anyone been driving my car lately?"
His voice carried unmistakable guilt.
"My cousin borrowed it yesterday for the whole day. Why?"
His cousin was six-foot-three—twice my size. More importantly, he was severely allergic to wheat and avoided pastries like the plague.
I let out a soft laugh, hung up, and drove straight to the bakery my husband had been frequenting lately.
Inside, a sweet-looking girl was chatting and giggling with her coworker.
"So what if I'm short? I have to move the seat all the way forward when I drive, but at least someone spoils me!"
The moment she saw me, her carefree smile vanished, replaced by panic.
I crossed my arms and tilted my head as I looked at her.
Lucas had always told me I was too tall—not quite his preferred type.
Looks like he'd finally found himself a petite little lover.
My six-year-old son, Zac Quest, deliberately fed me almond cake, which I was allergic to, to make me miscarry. Standing in front of the hospital bed, he hid behind my husband, Sterling Quest, with a long face and refused to admit his mistakes, "Grandma said you won't ever divorce Dad once you give birth to my sister. I don't want you as my mom anymore. I prefer Ms. White!"
Sterling said indifferently, "We'll have other children. Winona... is indeed more fit to raise Zac than you."
Hearing those words, I gave up completely.
The day I was discharged from the hospital, I went back home and cleared out all my belongings. All I left behind was a divorce agreement and a letter disowning Zac.
