RAINE
I’d like to think that I have self control, but based on the amazing head I received in the back seat of an SUV just a few days ago, by someone we were working with… it may all be in my head.
“Raine… are you heading home?” A voice that I was programming myself to remember had made itself known, interrupting any concentration I had on Jose. I looked at my new assistant, ignoring Jose, who continued to stare at me.
“Yes, I am. Did you need something before I left?” That’s right, play the role of a good boss.
“No, I’m good here,” Shane said. “Although, I’d be happy to walk you out.”
“Sure.” Throw a dog a bone. I didn’t bother to say another word to Jose.
