登入Catalina commended their work, saying "good job," amidst the post-work high-fives and packing.
“Be here promptly at eight tomorrow,” Catalina said. With nods of agreement, they quickly ran away, Catalina then went to join her parents, taking a seat between them.
“Hey, what are you two talking about,” Catalina asks?
“We talking about what a great teacher you've become. Stroking her hair, her mother said.
Catalina declared, “I’ve learned a great deal from my three best teachers.”
“Catalina, it's good to know; please cover for your grandfather today and teach the teenagers the pack's history. “I trust you with this, knowing you’re aware of the reasons,” William said.
Catalina's nod conveyed her thorough understanding of the pack and its ideals. The Black Vendetta Pack, established by her grandfather, was almost 45 years old. Teaming up with two close friends, he initiated this with Alphas from a different pack; eventually, they formed a brotherhood.
Standing out as the most extensive pack in Michigan is its inclusive acceptance of all refugees, including omegas, rogues, and others searching for a place where they can belong without fear of judgment for their history.
Just as he had taught William when young, Logan taught Catalina this principle: "Judge no one on their past, lead them to a better future."
"Yes, Dad, teaching young people would be an honor. Catalina hinted, "Despite my youth, they must understand our principles."
“I appreciate it so much”.
Catalina said, “Dad, there’s no need to thank me; we all need to contribute for the greater good.”
William asked, “How did you become such a good child?”
"That's from my family side," Vanessa interrupted.
“Vanessa, remember that my father and I both contributed to this. You know, she’s the spitting image of my mother.” William sighed.
“That’s where I got my hair color, right?” Catalina asks.
William responded, "Because you were born with that color, I genuinely think so," as he leaned back and considered how his mother looked. His memories were limited because he was only five when she died. He may forget many things, but he never forgets her hair color. Her white hair, a beacon against the dark gray winter sky, made her look like a beautiful goddess as the wind blew. Just the idea of his mother made him cry.
The Alpha's pain was noticed by both Vanessa and Catalina, who then consoled him. Catalina switched seats with William, leaving William in the middle. With Vanessa’s comforting words, “It is okay, William. Release it,” they held him close.
“Sweetheart, it’s a challenge to do that while upholding my alpha image and avoiding showing weakness.”
Addressing her father, Catalina declared, "You are not weak, Dad. You are one of the strongest men I know. Shame on you if you think crying is a sign of weakness!"
“William, you're not weak, our daughter is correct. Your father's influence helped shape you into a strong, kind, and selfless person. My love for you is not because of the moon goddess, it's because of who you are. I found you because of my heart, and I'm eternally grateful to the moon goddess for you, my Luna,” Vanessa expressed.
Looking at his wife and daughter, William couldn't help but smile, embracing them happily. He counts himself fortunate to have a family that cares so deeply for him. Even when things are tough, he can always count on his family. As they embraced, a man interrupted, saying, “Alpha, I'm sorry to interrupt, but Beta Taylor needs you.”
Before answering, William smirked. "Jacob," he said, "you don't need to call me Alpha so often.Plus, I've known you your whole life. We consider you like the son we always wanted.
Deep down, both Alpha and Luna longed for more children while Luna carried Catalina. Due to childbirth complications and the doctor's recommendation against future pregnancies, they decided not to try for another child.
"In any case, Jacob," Vanessa stated, "I recall you and Catalina, as children, always going to the toilet together."
With a red face, Catalina said to her mom, "That is so embarrassing."
"It's amazing how quickly time passes, and seeing you two all grown up, ready to be our future Alpha and Beta, is the best thing ever," Vanessa sighed.
William said, “Vanessa, imagine these two getting married someday.”
"Dad, Jacob and I are only friends, that's it; I don't think anything more is going on."
“Catalina, you never know, sometimes friendships turn into something more, like your mother and me. The decision rests solely with the moon goddess.” William informed them.
Jacob winked at Catalina; then, time flew by, and William suddenly realized what Jacob had said. “Okay, I need to go to a meeting,” he explained, “so I mustn’t be late. Catalina, don't forget you're teaching class today.”
"You're right, Jacob. Will you join me?"
“Of course, since I have nothing else to do, I might as well join in while you teach,” Jacob implied.
Catalina nudged Jacob playfully, saying, “Let’s go! Bye Mom and Dad, see you later!” Catalina spoke as they walked away.
William and Vanessa simultaneously said, "Later."
As Catalina and Jacob walked on, Vanessa could not help but smile; William put his arm around her and said, "My love, I see only greatness in them."
Vanessa looked at them once more and chuckled at William, saying, "I agree."
Catalina awoke two hours later, feeling calm. A glance around reminded her she was at her grandfather's house, and a single tear rolled down her cheek. After getting up, she turned, straightened the bed, and then went to the door. She opened it, and just before departing, she turned for a final glance at the room. Closing her eyes, she absorbed the scene before finally whispering the words she dreaded: "Goodbye, Grandfather." Then, she shut the door.Catalina secured the house and ventured into the forest as the late afternoon breeze rustled her hair, bringing her some comfort. Catalina, while walking, realized she was looking at a river, a place she'd forgotten until memories of her grandfather taking her there in childhood came back to her. Thinking of those memories, Catalina walked to the river. Beginning to stare at the water, her mind wandered, and it appeared she'd been there a while when a twig broke, causing her to become guarded. She began to stake out the area, her crystal
It was the day The Black Vendetta pack had to say their final goodbyes to a pack member. Everyone felt the sadness on the day of Alpha Logan Winchester's funeral, and Catalina was particularly affected as the large crowd gathered to pay their respects to the deceased Alpha. Logan's popularity was evident, with even the Elders attending, highlighting his rise from Omega to Alpha and his considerable respect. His past never left Logan, and Logan's story motivated other omegas to whom he became an inspiration. The notion is that an omega's attainment of Alpha status implies their capacity for becoming someone significant. A podium was situated in front of the packhouse, where the funeral was held. To the right, Logan's open black casket was visible to all; William, Vanessa, and Catalina were seated in the front row. Beta Bryson was behind them, and as his family sat through the service, each member approached the podium to speak briefly. Some shared jokes that brought a few chuckles, easi
In the forest, Logan and Phoenix walked in silence, next to each other. Each tree they encountered while walking started to illuminate with white lights. Lavender sky with white clouds had small round lights fluttering, resembling lightning bugs or stars. You'll feel completely at home in this calm and peaceful environment.“Do you recognize this place, Phoenix?” Logan asks.Phoenix informed him, "I'm not familiar with this Logan, but I suspect this might be the afterlife."With a deep breath and a sigh, Logan remarked, "I never envisioned it looking like this, such a gorgeous landscape.”"Phoenix, is the legend true that wolves can take over another person's body after a human's death?” Logan was curious."Yes," Phoenix responded, "the moon goddess refers to it as being reborn."“If that's the case, why are you here? Shouldn't you be in someone else's body at this moment?” Logan question wanting to know.“I'm opting out of reincarnation, Logan. After centuries of this, it's all become
As they approached the packhouse, William sent a mind-link to Vanessa, informing her of their proximity and Catalina's presence. The pack members greeted them as the gates opened when they reached the pack. Clothing was immediately given to everyone by their loved ones after they transformed into their human shapes. Everyone's happiness was evident in their laughter and tears, a sight observed by Catalina, William, and Logan. A smile appeared on their faces when they saw that. He recognized the voice that called his name as "William" and, turning, saw that it was Vanessa."William, Catalina, Logan, you've returned," Vanessa exclaimed, rushing to embrace them. Vanessa embraces Catalina so strongly that tears stream down their faces. Vanessa broke the hug looking over Catalina, making sure there were no bruises on her “Mom, I’m ok, you don’t have to worry anymore,” Catalina told her.“I’m so glad you’re home safe, my love,” Vanessa exclaimed. Vanessa embraced William and Logan with hugs
"That's wonderful, my child," Dawn told Catalina. "Now, please take my hands, close your eyes, and I'll handle the rest.” Nodding, Catalina complied with Dawn's directions. As soon as their eyes were closed, Dawn took a deep breath, and within moments, a luminous white light surrounded them. "Our dearest Moon Goddess," Dawn began, "I have come to tell you that my granddaughter, Catalina Winchester, has accepted your offer.” A shiver went through Dawn's body right after she said that, and then she spoke again, her voice sounding different."Catalina, as the moon goddess, I must ask: is your grandmother's story true, and do you accept my offer?" The voice ask."Yes, Moon Goddess, I accept," Catalina replied.“I shall empower you, my disciple, with the ability to heal and protect your loved ones, and above all, to be a formidable warrior for life. Catalina Winchester, your powers are a gift from the moon goddess.” Then, Dawn gently rested one hand on Catalina's head. Catalina's body then
Believe it when you see it; words can't capture Logan's current feelings. Believing he was dreaming and Dawn wasn't actually there, Logan shut his eyes, but upon opening them, Dawn remained. Logan extended his hand towards the seemingly real object, and Dawn mirrored his action; upon contact, they both experienced a jolt of energy. Logan found himself growing excited as he felt this connection, and even Phoenix sensed a bond with Aurora. Tears welled in Logan's eyes, and as Dawn came nearer, he swiftly wrapped his arms around her, and they shared an embrace. Logan's face moved towards Dawn's neck, and he breathed in her fragrance. The sweet smell of Magnolia, which eased his pain, was missed. He withdrew from the embrace, desiring to look into her eyes. Logan remembered being entranced by her beauty, which, in his view, was the eye of the beholder."Dawn, I'm so glad you are here; it's been so long, my love," Logan said.“I know Logan, and I miss you as well,” Dawn told him.“How can t
Vanessa and Alison were getting all the pups together at the safe house as they headed downstairs in the basement. The basement was big, that it could fit about 200 people. It had everything you needed; there was plenty of food, twin-size mattresses, that could be lay on the ground, but most of all,
Unlike any other day, today was different. Today all pack members had to train, including the omegas. Under the strict orders of Alpha William, the reason for this was because of the rouge problems. It seems that the problem is becoming more extensive, William had heard from other Alphas that rouges
Today Catalina had another training with the young pups; the training was again another successful accomplishment. Seeing the pups train hard and not giving up put a smile on Catalina face. “Ok, that enough for today, my little warriors. Since you all are doing an amazing job, I decided to end train
“Phoenix, how much longer will it be till we get to the pack territory? Logan wanted to know. “Not too long, exactly we right here, but I’m going to the back to get to our house,” Phoenix said. “Good idea Phoenix” Logan replied. Phoenix headed to the back of the pack; there stood guards. They did n
