As they were on the verge of beginning their run, Julian and Simone both started to sniff the air. Snapping them out of their trance, a scent caused Julian and Simone to search in opposite directions, leaving Logan, confused, in the middle. Logan was in a trance, thinking how happy he was for his friends was about to find their mates. “Mates” Logan trance was broken when he heard both Julian and Simone spoke. He turned to find Julian and Simone locked in a gaze, their eyes both black.

While approaching each other, Logan takes a step back and their eyes return to normal, questioning, "So, are we mates?” Simone said.

"So it seems," Julian agrees.

Simone asks, “What's my scent?”

“Like cherry blossoms, that’s what you smell like,” Julian said.

“Before you ask, you smell like a pine tree,” Simone said.

They were both quiet for a while before someone decided to speak.

"Congrats, you two," Logan said.

Julian felt an electric charge as he grasped Simone's hand and pulled her in. A kiss ensued between them within minutes. Their passionate kiss involved their tongues locking together. They paused their kiss to regain their breath.

"I'm glad you two finally got together; it was only a matter of time," Logan commented.

"We weren't in love," Simone replies, her face flushed.

"I concur with Simone; our interest wasn't mutual until now," Julian replied.

"You can't fool me, Julian.  Your feelings for Simone are clear, even if you won't admit them. A blind man could see how much you're denying your feelings," Logan said with a smile.

Their mutual blush of excitement proves Logan was right, something Julian and Simone agree on.  Despite their mutual attraction, Julian and Simone prioritize their friendship and commitment to their significant others, thus keeping their feelings unacknowledged. Turning to Julian, Simone confessed, “Julian, I have feelings for you?”

Simone's statement, about her attractiveness, totally surprised Julian. Her beauty held Julian's gaze as he stood there. Simone, standing at about 5’8 with a slim figure in all the right places, had cinnamon brown hair and mocha-colored skin. Her lips were full and luscious, and she had a slightly pointed nose. However, what Julian adored most about Simone were her striking baby blue eyes.

"Your beauty is captivating," Julian sighed, unable to look away.

"What's appealing to you about me, Simone?" Julian questioned.

“Julian, the reason I love you is because of your green eyes, which have a mesmerizing effect on me whenever I look into them. Simone declared, “Most importantly, your attractiveness reveals your truly lovable and kind nature.”

Julian, standing at 6 feet tall with a medium build, light skin, and long black hair to his shoulders, proved too alluring for Simone to ignore.

"We should share this news with everyone," Logan said.

Feeling confident, Simone declared, “I’m determined to win this race, that’s why I’m still in.”

"Alright, let's begin," Julian said.

"'Let's go on three,' Logan stated."

Using mental communication, they counted "1, 2, 3," and turned into their wolf selves.

Upon hearing the happy news, Lina (Logan's mom), Diane (Julian's mom), and Samantha (Simone's mom) got together to start organizing the ceremony. “I’m glad that Julian and Simone are mates,” Eugene said while he and Logan were sitting in his office.

“Thanks to the moon goddess, I’m glad to be a dad,” Logan said.

"You're right, Logan," Eugene said, "I hope this good news improves things between Mitchell and me."

Confused, Logan asks his dad, "What exactly did you mean by that?"

“Logan, you need to understand certain things about being the pack Alpha. Eugene sighed, hand to forehead, "A time will come when you and your beta clash over pack matters."

Logan inquired, "What was that about?"

“There are a few concerns regarding the pack. I want to keep it as it is, but Mitchell has other plans,” Eugene sighed.

"Dad, you're in charge because you're the alpha," Logan emphatically stated.

“You're right, Logan, but everyone in this pack plays a role. This pack, unlike others, wasn't a gift from your grandfather. This pack is the result of a collaboration between me, your mother, Mitchell, Ulysses, and their mates. “Have I ever shared our meeting story with you?” Eugene asked.

“I don’t recall,” Logan said.

"Since you know we are all Omegas, allow me to start there and tell you about it. That awful pack, with its ruthless Alpha and Luna, treated us like servants, reducing us to tears. The alpha and the Luna had servants at their disposal 24/7, which is how I came to meet your mother. I fulfilled the positions of alpha servant, while she was the servant of the Luna. Your mom is a wonderful person, both inside and out, who captivates not just me, but others too. Your mother possesses a radiant beauty that illuminates any space. Upon seeing your mother, men will be compelled to seduce her and make her their mate. This is why Luna becomes jealous of your mother and starts to attack her. Luna was narcissistic and constantly sought attention everywhere she went. Because the alpha was also interested in your mother, Luna saw her as a rival.

There was a day when the alpha turned aggressive and attempted to rape her, leading to your mother's scream that woke up my wolf. The only response I received from him was "Mate" before resorting to hitting the alpha with a vase, but to no avail as he remained unfazed, resulting in a physical altercation between us. Since he's an alpha and I'm an omega, his strength exceeded mine.

The Luna beat me badly, and also your mother, because the alpha falsely accused your mother of trying to seduce him. After that, we were taken to a house behind the castle where they kept all the disobedient omegas. In a group of around twenty, your mother and I encountered Mitchell, Ulysses, Samantha, and Diane. We endured horrific conditions; a single daily meal of bread and water was all we got. Daily, they would select one of us for a beating in the dungeon, lasting one or two hours,  two or three times. That night, we all decided to leave because we couldn't handle it anymore, though many omegas refused out of fear of capture. Just six of us risked running toward the woods. Thankfully, we were able to transform into our wolf forms. "We fled, found this spot, and decided to create our pack," Eugene explained, relieved.

"How'd you become Alpha?" Logan inquired.

Eugene chuckled, "That was easy; a coin flip decided it, and I won."

A small chuckle escaped Logan's lips as he suggested, “I hope you and Mitchell can resolve your issues.”

“Me too, Logan, I believe we will; his anger won't last”

“Logan, we should celebrate Julian and Simone becoming mates. Eugene approaches Logan, adding, "After all, they're your best friends. With a nod from Logan, they exited the office together.

Catalina awoke two hours later, feeling calm. A glance around reminded her she was at her grandfather's house, and a single tear rolled down her cheek. After getting up, she turned, straightened the bed, and then went to the door. She opened it, and just before departing, she turned for a final glance at the room. Closing her eyes, she absorbed the scene before finally whispering the words she dreaded: "Goodbye, Grandfather." Then, she shut the door.Catalina secured the house and ventured into the forest as the late afternoon breeze rustled her hair, bringing her some comfort. Catalina, while walking, realized she was looking at a river, a place she'd forgotten until memories of her grandfather taking her there in childhood came back to her. Thinking of those memories, Catalina walked to the river. Beginning to stare at the water, her mind wandered, and it appeared she'd been there a while when a twig broke, causing her to become guarded. She began to stake out the area, her crystal

It was the day The Black Vendetta pack had to say their final goodbyes to a pack member. Everyone felt the sadness on the day of Alpha Logan Winchester's funeral, and Catalina was particularly affected as the large crowd gathered to pay their respects to the deceased Alpha. Logan's popularity was evident, with even the Elders attending, highlighting his rise from Omega to Alpha and his considerable respect. His past never left Logan, and Logan's story motivated other omegas to whom he became an inspiration. The notion is that an omega's attainment of Alpha status implies their capacity for becoming someone significant. A podium was situated in front of the packhouse, where the funeral was held. To the right, Logan's open black casket was visible to all; William, Vanessa, and Catalina were seated in the front row. Beta Bryson was behind them, and as his family sat through the service, each member approached the podium to speak briefly. Some shared jokes that brought a few chuckles, easi

In the forest, Logan and Phoenix walked in silence, next to each other. Each tree they encountered while walking started to illuminate with white lights. Lavender sky with white clouds had small round lights fluttering, resembling lightning bugs or stars. You'll feel completely at home in this calm and peaceful environment.“Do you recognize this place, Phoenix?” Logan asks.Phoenix informed him, "I'm not familiar with this Logan, but I suspect this might be the afterlife."With a deep breath and a sigh, Logan remarked, "I never envisioned it looking like this, such a gorgeous landscape.”"Phoenix, is the legend true that wolves can take over another person's body after a human's death?” Logan was curious."Yes," Phoenix responded, "the moon goddess refers to it as being reborn."“If that's the case, why are you here? Shouldn't you be in someone else's body at this moment?” Logan question wanting to know.“I'm opting out of reincarnation, Logan. After centuries of this, it's all become

As they approached the packhouse, William sent a mind-link to Vanessa, informing her of their proximity and Catalina's presence. The pack members greeted them as the gates opened when they reached the pack. Clothing was immediately given to everyone by their loved ones after they transformed into their human shapes. Everyone's happiness was evident in their laughter and tears, a sight observed by Catalina, William, and Logan. A smile appeared on their faces when they saw that. He recognized the voice that called his name as "William" and, turning, saw that it was Vanessa."William, Catalina, Logan, you've returned," Vanessa exclaimed, rushing to embrace them. Vanessa embraces Catalina so strongly that tears stream down their faces. Vanessa broke the hug looking over Catalina, making sure there were no bruises on her “Mom, I’m ok, you don’t have to worry anymore,” Catalina told her.“I’m so glad you’re home safe, my love,” Vanessa exclaimed. Vanessa embraced William and Logan with hugs

"That's wonderful, my child," Dawn told Catalina. "Now, please take my hands, close your eyes, and I'll handle the rest.” Nodding, Catalina complied with Dawn's directions. As soon as their eyes were closed, Dawn took a deep breath, and within moments, a luminous white light surrounded them. "Our dearest Moon Goddess," Dawn began, "I have come to tell you that my granddaughter, Catalina Winchester, has accepted your offer.” A shiver went through Dawn's body right after she said that, and then she spoke again, her voice sounding different."Catalina, as the moon goddess, I must ask: is your grandmother's story true, and do you accept my offer?" The voice ask."Yes, Moon Goddess, I accept," Catalina replied.“I shall empower you, my disciple, with the ability to heal and protect your loved ones, and above all, to be a formidable warrior for life. Catalina Winchester, your powers are a gift from the moon goddess.” Then, Dawn gently rested one hand on Catalina's head. Catalina's body then

  • A Sacred Bond   Chapter: 50 Rising of Dawn

Believe it when you see it; words can't capture Logan's current feelings. Believing he was dreaming and Dawn wasn't actually there, Logan shut his eyes, but upon opening them, Dawn remained. Logan extended his hand towards the seemingly real object, and Dawn mirrored his action; upon contact, they both experienced a jolt of energy. Logan found himself growing excited as he felt this connection, and even Phoenix sensed a bond with Aurora. Tears welled in Logan's eyes, and as Dawn came nearer, he swiftly wrapped his arms around her, and they shared an embrace. Logan's face moved towards Dawn's neck, and he breathed in her fragrance. The sweet smell of Magnolia, which eased his pain, was missed. He withdrew from the embrace, desiring to look into her eyes. Logan remembered being entranced by her beauty, which, in his view, was the eye of the beholder."Dawn, I'm so glad you are here; it's been so long, my love," Logan said.“I know Logan, and I miss you as well,” Dawn told him.“How can t
