Chapter: 6

_{Following a week, during a training session with veteran wolves, Logan observed three unknown males, and a female from the pack, walking in his direction. Logan addressed the children, "Class is dismissed," he said, turning around.}

 _{The children nodded and went separate ways. Following their leaving, Logan went to where the woman and three unidentified men were.}

_{“Sheila, how's it going today? Logan inquires.}

_{“Logan, I’m doing okay?” Sheila replies.}

_{"Nothing much, I'm finishing training, so tell me, who are they?" Logan question.}

_{"They only got here today, so they're new to the pack," Sheila explained.}

_{Logan noticed the three men while watching, sensing that something was wrong, but didn't have time to think about it more. He recalls his father's advice: "Never judge anyone by their past.Logan steps forward and greets them by saying, "Hello, I'm Logan Winchester, and I welcome you to The River Rock pack." he said extended out his hand to try to shake theirs, but the three men were silent and just gave him a nod.}

_{As Logan placed his arm back at his side, feeling perplexed, Sheila broke in, "Logan, don't be disheartened, they might be shy. Let's go and I'll show them where they will be staying."}

_{"See you later, Sheila," Logan said as he walked away.}

_{Deep in thought, Logan sat in his father's office while his father and Beta Mitchell discussed pack business. Logan's father saw the look on his face and questioned, "Logan, are you okay? You haven't said much since arriving; is anything bothering you?”}

_{“I’ve been pondering the three wolves that arrived three days ago; there's something odd about them I can't quite grasp," Logan replied.}

_{“What have you observed?” Eugene inquires.}

_{Logan sighed, "I've only noticed a few things: they're uncommunicative, I don't know their names, and they always quickly go inside when they see me or anyone else."}

_{Eugene told Logan, “Give it more time; people don't open up immediately.”}

_{Beta Mitchell added, “Logan, your father’s situation highlights how difficult it is to understand others without knowing their past experiences and the length of their struggles.”}

_{“I guess you two are right, like you said dad never judges people on their past, so we have to be patient with them,” Logan responds.}

_{"That sounds like a good idea, Logan," Eugene said.}

_{“Mitchell, is your son prepared for his upcoming mating ceremony?” Eugene wanted to know.}

_{"Yes, Alpha," Mitchell chuckles, "but Julian's a nervous wreck, I can tell you that."}

_{"Of course it's hard," Logan sighed, "They've been close since they were kids."}

_{In Julian's case, Eugene pointed out that even Logan, a man, felt nervous about finding a mate; he never expected the moon goddess to pair him with Simone.}

_{Logan and Mitchell gave a nod.}

_{Come on, you two, there are more ceremony matters to discuss. The women are occupied with setting everything up.}

_{“Good idea” Eugene and Logan agree.}

_{The outdoor mating ceremony was blissful, and the easy access allowed for comfortable seating. Creating a stunning ceremony, the women decorated chairs in white satin fabric accented with black roses. The aisle featured a red carpet path, illuminated by candles and decorated with cherry blossoms, extending from the back to the front. At the front, there was a stage with a podium in the middle where the Alpha stood. Two cherry blossom trees, about ten feet away, were adorned with white lights.}

_{To prove his love for Simone, Julian came up with the idea of the trees. To the right, Julian and Logan were standing. Tiffany, Simone's maid of honor, was on the left; Logan, Julian's best man, was on the right. When Eugene noticed the door of his house opening, he said, "Let's all stand up. When the crowd rose, their eyes fell upon Simone and her father, who stood in the archway. A beautiful baby blue V-neck dress, embellished with Swarovski crystals at the bottom, was what Simone wore. A neat bun held her hair, aside from a few spiral curls and a lily flower adorning the right side.}

_{With flawless makeup, a light pink blush and black eyeliner highlighted her eyes beautifully. She sported pink lipstick, diamond earrings, and a three-stone diamond necklace. Her footwear consisted of stylish silver heels, a medium height. With her father in a simple black and white tuxedo, soft violin music played as they began to walk. She couldn't help but notice Julian looking dashing in his black and white tux, his smile giving her goosebumps as they walked. When they arrive at the front, Ulysses hands Simone over to Julian and quietly tells him, "Please take care of my little girl.” Julian nodded to him while they continued their walk to the front. Concurrently, Ulysses joined his mate, Julian's parents and Luna.}

_{Alpha Eugene said, "Please be seated, everyone.” Following everyone taking their seats, Alpha Eugene started speaking. “Hello everyone, we're here today to celebrate the joining of two friends as one. No words can capture the essence of these two young people, whom I've known since they were babies. And I've watched them grow up alongside my son; performing their mating ceremony is a great honor and privilege for me. Julian and Simone, do you vow to the moon goddess to maintain your secret bond for life?”}

_{Glancing at each other, then at the Alpha, they both declared, “We do.”}

_{“With the power of the moon goddess and your Alpha, you're officially bonded as mates, Julian—kiss your mate!” Eugene announced.}

_{Everyone cheered and clapped as Julian and Simone started kissing, expressing their joy. They ended their kiss, and Simone confessed, "I love you, Julian."}

_{Smiling, Julian replied, "I love you too, baby."}

_{Just as the celebration was to commence, a scream shattered the anticipation. Everyone's attention was drawn to its source because of that. Suddenly, three vicious wolves with bright blue eyes appeared, growling loudly and prompting everyone to retreat towards Logan and his father. More wolves appeared as Logan looked around, causing the children to cry in fear.}

_{Logan addressed his father, saying, "Dad, we need to take action—we're on the verge of an attack."}

_{His father says, "I know Logan, and our top priority must be the safe evacuation of the women and children."}

_{Standing near Logan, Simone told Julian and Logan, "I have a bad feeling about this."}
