Elena's POV

I woke up feeling annoyed which was strange because when I had gone to bed last night, I had been in an excellent mood.

A wonderful mood, actually.

I stared up at the ceiling frowning. The sensation lingered like a warning, or perhaps a bad omen.

The thought irritated me.

I wasn't superstitious, at least not usually. Yet I couldn't shake the feeling.

A sharp knock interrupted my thoughts.

"Enter."

The door immediately opened and my three maids hurried into the room.

Yet I couldn't shake the feeling.A sharp knock interrupted my thoughts."Enter."The door immediately opened and my three maids hurried into the room."Good morning, Luna Elena.""Morning."The oldest maid immediately approached the curtains and pulled them open. Sunlight flooded the room and I squinted."That's unnecessary" I said. The maid smiled nervously."It is morning, Luna.""I noticed" I replied rudely. The younger maids quickly got to work. One moved toward the wardrobe while another began organizing make up.A third maid started preparing my bath. Meanwhile, I remained seated on the bed, still annoyed. The oldest maid paused. Her eyes studied me car

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   A Weakness Worth Exploiting

Amarok's POVThe silence in my study was unbearable.Outside the room, I could still hear the aftermath of tonight's disaster unfolding.Workers moved through the damaged sections of the safe house, guards carried away debris, medics treated the wounded and construction crews were already assessing what could be repaired and what needed to be rebuilt entirely.Every sound only reminded me of one thing.Alpha Kael had walked into my safe house, taken Liora and escaped. The thought alone was enough to make my jaw tighten.A knock sounded on the door."Enter."A guard stepped inside. He approached my desk carrying several sheets of paper."The final estimates, sir" he said.I took them.My eyes immediately scanned the reports and the numbers only worsened my mood.I dropped the papers onto the desk hard and the guard flinched. The guard swallowed."Should I leave, sir?" He asked."Yes."The door closed behind him then I leaned back in my chair and for a brief moment, I closed my eyes and

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   No Other Choice

Liora's POVThe silence after my words felt endless. Every single person standing near the vehicles seemed frozen. The night air drifted through the trees around us, carrying the scent of dirt, smoke, and the distant remains of the chaos we had just escaped.Yet despite everything that had happened tonight, despite Amarok, despite the safe house, the only thing anyone seemed focused on now was the argument between Alpha Kael and me.I stared directly at him, waiting expecting something like an apology or some indication that he understood why I was angry. Instead, Alpha Kael simply stared back. His expression was unreadable and that pissed me off even more.I folded my arms tighter."Well? Are you going to say something?"His jaw tightened and the silence stretched then finally, Alpha Kael exhaled slowly. He rubbed a hand across his face and for a brief moment, he looked exhausted then he looked directly at me and finally spoke."I am tired of this argument" he said.I blinked. That w

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   Not a Possession

Alpha Kael's POVThe moment the safe house disappeared behind us, I finally allowed myself to breathe. The forest stretched around us in every direction and the sounds of distant insects filled the silence between our footsteps.Nobody spoke much during the journey even though everyone had too much to say.Especially Liora. She was still angry but i was also angry at the fact that she had refused to leave the safe house, the fact that she had willingly stayed near Amarok, and the fact that she kept making reckless decisions.Every thought only worsened my mood.Thankfully, the familiar sight of my car finally appeared through the trees."We're here," Rio muttered.Fay sighed."Finally."I nodded once then carefully lowered Liora onto her feet. The moment her shoes touched the ground, she stepped away from me fast, as though my presence physically offended her.The moment she was standing properly, she spun toward me, her eyes flashed."What is your problem?" She asked. I blinked."W

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   Through the Smoke

Liora's POVFor several long seconds, I couldn't see anything. The explosion had left my ears ringing so loudly that every other sound seemed distant and distorted.Dust filled the air, smoke drifted through the courtyard and broken pieces of stone and wood littered the ground around us.The bright lights that had been pointed at us moments ago now flickered erratically, some lying shattered on the floor while others cast strange shadows through the haze.I coughed and my eyes watered. Everything around me felt unreal."What... happened?" I muttered.I pushed myself onto my hands and knees. The ground beneath me felt rough while my head still hurt from being knocked unconscious earlier. The combination of that headache and the explosion was making it difficult to think clearly. All around me, guards were shouting, some sounded injured while others sounded confused.Nobody seemed to know what was happening.I blinked several times and tried to focus then slowly, shapes began emerging t

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   A Dangerous Question

Alpha Kael's POVAmarok's words echoed through my mind like a curse. Every repetition made my jaw tighten further, every repetition made my temper worsen and every repetition made me want to put my fist through the nearest wall, or through Amarok's face. The fact that he had sounded so calm when he said it only made it worse. As though the memory pleased him.The thought alone sent another wave of anger through me and I clenched my fists hard. The muscles in my forearms tightened, my nails dug into my palms and still it wasn't enough.Across from me, Amarok remained completely composed, watching me, like a predator observing another predator. He knew exactly what he had done, I could see it in his eyes and he was enjoying every second of it.The realization made my blood boil while a small smile tugged at the corner of Amarok's mouth.I started walking toward him. Every step echoed through the corridor and the atmosphere changed instantly. The guards noticed then fear spread across se

Liora’s POV“She is dangerous.”Alpha Kael’s voice followed me like a shadow as the guards dragged me from the room.My feet barely touched the floor as they hauled me through the doorway, their grips iron-tight around my arms. • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   The Alpha’s Hunger

Alpha Kael's POVThe fire’s warmth did nothing to chase the chill that had settled into my chest. She knelt there, slick with oil, the faint scent of jasmine clinging to her skin. The linen she wore was thin, clinging to her body, leaving nothing to the imagination. Every curve, every swell, ever

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   The Alpha’s Claim

Liora's POVMy skin tingled as the maids’ hands glided over me, spreading oil down my shoulders, across the slope of my collarbone, over the curve of my breasts, down my ribs and over my waist. Their touch was careful, almost timid, as if I were a fragile artifact rather than a living woman. The s

  • Alpha Vorthrane's Pet   Prologue

I still remember the smell of smoke, thick and chocking, curling into my lungs, and the sound of my mother’s screams echoing through the house as she was slaughtered along with my father for trusting the wrong people.Though it has been a long time since that night, it is burned into me as if it ha
