LOGINSebastian POV
“Look who’s here, Sebastian. To what do I owe this visit?” Carol spat the words with a wink, a taunting smile curling on her lips. She was dressed up far too nicely, clearly expecting me, or hoping I’d give her a reason to expect something from me. “What happened, Carol?” I asked sharply, knowing the little devil well enough to recognize when she’d pushed her games too far. She giggled softly, her hands gliding over my chest like a serpent, and for a split second, I swore her touch seeped straight into my bloodstream. Pleasure has been a constant ache in my mind these past months, gnawing at me without relief. And no amount of meaningless sex has come close to matching that night in my clubhouse. With her. The girl who wrecked me without even realizing it, who left her scent in my bones and my sanity in pieces. I’ve searched endlessly, but I can’t even catch a trace of her. Lucy Ahn said I need to see that little human again if I want to tame the madness clawing inside me. I am insatiable, starving for the sweet, forbidden softness of her milky body. But she’s vanished, hidden herself so well that even I can’t sniff her out. “Let me help you out, my Alpha,” Carol’s voice dragged me back to the present. As tempting as her offer might be to lesser men, the thought of being anywhere near her disgusts me. “Tell me, Carol. What happened to my mother?” Her smile dropped instantly. She frowned, sitting down stiffly, all traces of playfulness gone. The seriousness in her eyes told me that wasting even a second with her would be dangerous. “Your father’s wolfsbane strain has worsened, and your mother was kidnapped by the Light Pack. And your brother Sylvester King is too busy with his countless girls to care.” She explained, stepping closer on her knees, desperation trembling through her voice. “Please save the Luna, your mother, Alpha.” Her eyes held secrets, ones I would leave to unravel another day. “Light Pack dared put their filthy hands on my mother?” My vision burned red. My wolf surged forward, snarling through my chest. Carol flinched as she witnessed the beast clawing beneath my skin. “My Alpha,” Nuel called from behind. I turned to him. His face was pale, shadowed, barely keeping steadiness. “Speak, Nuel. What happened?” I thundered. I could hear his heartbeat pounding violently, one of my gifts that never lies. “Klein returned to Arkansas after you stripped him of his title. He’s threatening to destroy Moon Pack.” A dark laugh slipped past my lips. So pathetic. Moon Pack has always been the victim, targeted by other packs and wolf hunters who assume they’re weak since I left decades ago. And after the battles that damaged my father, I had no choice but to remove his Alpha title. But it’s time they remember who rules everything. My people deserve the highest honor, and I will bring it back for them with blood if I must. “Prepare the private jet. We leave today.” I ordered. Nuel nodded immediately. “I will come with you, my Alpha. The Luna has always treated me like her own.” Carol murmured, but I ignored her completely and walked out. “Tell George to continue searching for the girl.” I said as I stepped out. The entire building felt too small, too suffocating to restrain the wildfire thundering inside me. Nuel followed close behind, already making the call. When he ended it, he jogged to catch up. “I fear the girl left the country already my Alpha,” He said carefully. I waved him off, pretending his words didn’t slice through me. But inside, something cracked, my sanity slipping lower. The thought of living like this forever, restless and cursed, made all my vein burn. “I can’t be wanting a girl forever, Nuel,” I breathed harshly. My wolf’s rage pulsed violently, threatening to tear the entire state apart if I lost even an inch of control. “I will find her. I have to.” But first, Moon Pack. I would set everything right and reclaim what’s mine. Then I would hunt down that sweet poison, the girl who both curses me and cures me. “The private jet will be ready in an hour. Do you want to do anything before then?” Nuel asked, avoiding my gaze. “Perhaps we could have fun with Klein’s dogs,” I said, stepping into the car. Nuel entered and drove us down the hill toward the crazy man’s house. Klein Stone, the Beta foolish enough to believe he could challenge me. He’s shown his rebellious nature too many times. I’ve crushed him again and again, yet he always crawls back with that pathetic urge to ruin me. Maybe I should end everything before leaving L.A. Sniffing out his so called forces was easy. But when I stepped into the house, the usual foul scent was faint, they were gone. “They’re not here, Alpha,” Nuel announced as he searched the rooms. He froze suddenly, then held up a phone toward me. The caller ID flashed Klein “Pick up,” I ordered. Nuel answered, and that irritating voice vibrated through the speaker. “Guess where I am, Sebastian. Arkansas. With your loved ones.” His laughter echoed before Nuel ended the call. Too many reasons to go home. Too many things to destroy. Too many things to set right. … “This is her friend, my Alpha. She brought her to me that very day,” George said. My patience thinned to an air . Every second without her twisted my insides. I craved the girl who held my cure, who ruined me and didn’t even realize it. “So speak up. Where is she, that I couldn’t even sniff her out?” I demanded. The girl he brought sneered, rolling her eyes. “Clair has been my friend since we were kids, but she’s a slut. And she had ran off with her lover.” She said bluntly. Not the answer I wanted. Her tone was venom, and every word grated against my already tormented mind. “Get her out of my sight. And find the girl at all costs, George.” I muttered before stepping into the jet. Even amidst the chaos, I still craved her, for her cold feet curling around me that night, for the way her soft pleas trembled as she took all of me. She haunts me. Controls me. And I will have her again. Soon.ALEXA POV Desires are holy, and sometimes you just deserve its cold attacks and the crazy hook it has on you.Karl has returned to be with his nanny, and me? This time around I could not dwell much on the matters at hand rather my body seeks an affirmation that seems so lost and dead.I forced a groan, like the needs are just gonna disappear, but they are there, here with me and vowed to be my doom.I did not want to touch, did not want to awaken the beast, but maybe, just maybe a single touch could calm the fight down there right under me.And I touched, slow, intentional and I liked it, like it compare to the cold jaw Sebastian throws me at night, like it to the tears I shed when I felt like a loser, and right now, I am just going to be the lead of my own ecstasy.I was low, I needed to be low, as my finger busied itself through my wet parts and the joyous tears makes me into that young and free woman I once was, Alexa who has got her own charm.“My Luna, a visitor is here to see y
CLAIR POV “Come back to work, the manager has concluded he has no right in your personal life.”“Whatever that shit even is.”A tiny laugh escaped Mrs Hilda’s mouth and her face turned all serious quickly too.“He promise you a raise, to triple your wages.”And ever since I opened the door for her, that was the only appealing words I heard.Money, and god know how much I needed the cash, to change renew our bills or perhaps get a new apartment and Lily’s school.“I will come.”I said slowly, knowing it would cost me more time if I ever wanted to check or apply to other jobs and also, no one pays like The Mount Agency.Mrs Hilda had stepped inside without waiting for an invitation even after I almost died of fear, her heels had clicked on the floor I had mopped earlier that morning. She looked around the apartment like she was calculating the rent in her head. Her eyes fixed on the chipped paint. The couch with the stain Lily spilled juice on last summer. And the small window that let
SEBASTIAN POV “The River Star pack has sent bodyguards to welcome us my Alpha.”Kane whispered to my ear, as if I couldn’t see them already.“And Alpha Eliot is with them also.”Nuel added and I only nodded. This is Montreal, where my instinct had anticipated for a weird reason, and I wondered how much I had anticipated it in this past, but it has never happened. The bodyguards walked toward us and bowed lowly in respect. I could read their fear, even when what they do is hide it, it’s like a thick wave forming and tightening their throats.“Welcome to Montreal Alpha Sebastian of the great moon pack.”Eliot greeted.“It’s an honour receiving your support every time.”He added and I shook his hand, pulling him into my left arm and stepping out into the weather.I scented it yet again, the reek of danger. The air here was different. Colder and sharper. It bit at the back of my throat and carried deep smoke, wet invisible touches and something metallic I couldn’t place. “You brought ha
ALEXA POV LI stood in my room as Sebastian’s private jet flew out. Its wings spread into the white blue sky, and I kind of envied its freedom. “Mother I did better today.”Karl’s voice shook me free of my anxiety a bit, and I turned toward him, with the best smile I could give.“You always do better darling.”He rushed into my arms, his scent the actual hibiscus smell on Sebastian. The same smell that clung to the sheets the night he said my name like a prayer and then like a mistake. The same smell that haunted the hallways when he walked past me.“Beta Nuel will return soon, and you should make sure you keep making mummy proud.”I said, pulling tighter on the poor boy, my baby, the one I love so dearly. Any pack decision can’t keep us apart. And Sebastian, no matter how far ahead he is, I can only thank him for at least taking Karl’s side.“You can be replaced.”My wolf snarled beneath, and I pressed a gentle kiss on Karl to calm the tornado erupting in my head and pretend my wo
CLAIR POV It’s Saturday and overly lonesome, a typical ChiCanada if you ask me. “Mummy, do you miss your friends?” Lily’s voice broke out from the kitchen. I have decorated the house last summer to get things regulated and in place and even though it’s this small house, it felt bigger now that I created a kitchen space. “Not really baby, I have you after all.” I said, hating how forced and tight my voice sounded. It will be summer soon, and I think I needed the sun, as much as it could give. Clair’s eyes settled on me, curious, probably got a lot in her mind. I shifted on the sofa and beckoned for her. She shrugged off her frown and got into my arms. “You are my only friend Lily, I want you to know that.” I wish she would always remember that, even when I got lucky to have more people supporting me, I wish she would always know how important she’s in my life forever. “Why did you cry so much and said ‘I miss you’ in the night?” My heart skipped a beat. She heard me, when I
SEBASTIAN POV Her eyes were full of tears, and it moved me deeper than I wanted it to. Deeper than grief. Deeper than the walls I have tried to build around my chest for four years. But what could a broken Alpha like me promise anyone else?I had already failed Clair. I had already let Fate as they call it take her before I could even figure out how to say her name without it bleeding. And what right did I have to touch Alexa? To promise her anything when every word I spoke only turned to ash in my mouth?“I will do what is necessary to keep Karl safe,” I said gently. The words sounded foreign and weak. I hated how my voice softened for her. Hated how my strength felt like it was fading, not that any rogue could challenge me and live, my claws had ended wolves stronger in the past. But I couldn’t find the strength to give love. Not when all I did was receive it and let it burn me.Perhaps I’m a broken Alpha.“My Alpha, Karl is considered human with his weakness. Won’t your acknow

Sebastian POV “Make sure she never enters here again.”My voice came out low and quiet, but sharp enough to slice through the noise of Newvile Club. One of the other clubhouse that belongs to me.“Yes, Alpha.”Shan muttered, his head low as he held the door open and I stepped outside slowly. The a
