LOGINLuca's POV
It had been two months since I had been back into this city that screamed familiarity. Everyone had only heard of Luca Airline & Transportation but they've never met its CEO—the successful CEO which is me.
The first thing I had looked for when I came back was Sabrina and I found out she was still married to that scumbag. Not that I didn't want her to be in a happy-ever-after marriage, but she was mine to begin with. He had taken her from me then and now I'm back, all prepared to take back what's mine.
As if fate were on my side, I found out she wasn't happy—Not in that marriage. Not in that prison.
Haynes Chadwick! That asshole! He treated her like a worthless person, like someone who deserved no respect, but for once—I'd thank him because he'd give me the perfect opening to take her back.
It had been just few hours after the latest Ventimiglia family scandal which had thrown the media into chaos and confusion. I had someone watch Sabrina as I knew she'd be vulnerable, trying to find a way out of her situation.
I could help her—in less than 24hours, but I wouldn't because I needed something to bargain with. It made me end up on the top floor of Haynes Chadwick's company as I was curious about Sabrina who I had watched go up there earlier.
**
Pinning her to the wall, fingers grazing her cheeks, memories crashed in—ones I had never for once tried to forget.
Those brown eyes of hers that always looked at me with nothing but sincerity and all the love in the world, now looked at me with what seems like fear and uncertainty.
"Don't you miss me??" I asked, hoping that maybe—maybe her words could be different from what I was thinking, different from the gesture her eyes were giving but I could see through her. She clearly didn't.
It made me want to go crazy, pour out everything I've always wanted to say to her, about how I almost went crazy losing her to one scumbag because I wasn't capable enough to protect her then, yell at her for not trusting me and shattering my heart into pieces so small I couldn't even pick the shards. But instead, my hands just trailed down to her lips, my lustful gaze lingering on them. It made me realize—I missed those lips.
She was Haynes Chadwick's wife at the moment but I didn't give a damn. I crashed my lips against hers, savouring both lips. I'd face the consequences of my actions later.
She kissed me back, our lips syncing in rhythm, and the kiss lasted for quite a while. I released her lips, holding her gaze. I expected her to yell, or worse—slap me across the face but she didn't. Maybe I was wrong about what those eyes were saying earlier. My hands caressed her face, our breaths fanning against each other. I wanted to say more. Tell her more about how I was feeling at the moment but something disrupted the moment—the clicking sound of a camera.
"Whoa" the word came after, making me realize that someone was watching us.
My face twitched to the back and there he was—Haynes Chadwick. He smirked, his phone in hand and his camera still pointed at us, the asshole had taken a picture. I clenched my jaws as Sabrina quickly pushed me away, straightening her dress.
"What a romantic scene this is. How great would it look when it reaches the media?" Haynes asked, still wearing his devilish smirk but that only sounded like a threat to me. He's got intention to create another scandal for Sabrina and this time, it would be involving me.
I could only watch him as he walked to Sabrina, his hands tucked in his pockets. I didn't know how worse their marriage was but I swear—I might kill Haynes if he touches her right in front of me.
He smirked, "I thought I had a faithful wife, turns out you were just being a green snake under the grass. You sure have some audacity. The divorce haven't even been finalized but here you are kissing a man right in my company" He gestured to the side. "Need to make out?? You can use my office"
Of all the words he said, my ears got stuck on one. They are getting a divorce.
Sabrina's gaze lingered on Haynes, she couldn't utter a word. The way she stared at him couldn't make me fathom what was going on in her head. She was probably feeling guilty about getting caught kissing a man by her husband.
Sabrina proved me wrong when she took a step closer to Haynes. Her gaze sending cold shivers down his spine.
"Why?? You can get back with your ex, why can't I get back with mine??" She asked and that left me shocked. I never expected it.
Haynes eyes widened as his gaze flicked between Sabrina and I.
"Your ex??" He asked. "That guy from then??" He added, as he ran his gaze over me in disdain.
"Yes, my ex—Luca McCorkindale!" Sabrina spat and his lips parted in disbelief.
"Plus, after making me sign the divorce papers, you think you have a say in my life anymore??" Sabrina added.
She already signed the papers and now she's done with him. It made me feel something in my stomach, the fact that I was getting closer to getting her back.
"I dare you to leak that picture, Haynes Chadwick" I said. With that, I took Sabrina's hand and opened the elevator but she jerked her hands away.
I knew it, "getting back with my ex" as she had said was just at the spur of the moment. She just needed something against Haynes.
Haynes cleared his throat and got into the elevator with us facing me almost immediately—If only he'd be silent.
"So?? So what?? What if you are Luca McCorkindale??" He scoffed and I didn't give a response. I just had my hands tucked in my pocket while I watch him rant.
Desperately craving for attention, he faced Sabrina.
"You really have no shame, do you?? And I assure you, this is just the beginning" he whispered. Sabrina's hands curled into fists. She was trapped—torn between Haynes and his threats.
The elevator doors opened and Sabrina was the first to walk out while I followed closely behind her although it was obvious she was trying to keep her distance.
"Let me drive you" I said, breaking the silence between us.
"Stay clear from me, Luca! I don't need you in my life!" The words came as a sharp knife piercing through my heart. I had always needed her in my life, by my side but to her—I'm nothing.
Sabrina's POV. I didn't let the woman walk out before I walked back in, a huge smile on my face. “Did I take long?” I asked, grabbing her attention. She was still in front of the safe and she stepped back, startled. Her hand clicked the red button on her phone screen, ending the call and I acted like I didn't notice. I asked. “Do you still want to look around more?” “No, that's enough. Thank you” She stepped out and I followed behind her. “You've done enough, Miss Sabrina.” Christ, it's Mrs. McCorkindale, but I didn't correct her again. “You should get back to your office, I wouldn't want to stress you” “Of course, you should be able to find your way from here” I smiled. “I'll reach out to you concerning more details on the dresses you requested for” I turned back and walked elegantly back to my office. Tina followed me in and the moment I got in, I groaned.“That little parasite!” I seethed. “Did she think…..” *She could play me?* But I didn't voice the rest of the words o
Sabrina's POV. I didn't let it show on my face that I recognized her, but I knew without a doubt that her presence here has something to do with Haynes. With a welcoming smile, I said. “ Yes, let's talk business” “This way to the office” Tina stepped in, ushering her down into the company towards the elevator. It took a few minutes before we got into my office. I sat behind the desk, swirling the chair in a slow circling motion and the woman sat across from me. The moment she settled down, I noticed her looking around everywhere like she was trying to mark a territory. I said nothing. But only watched. Suddenly, her gaze returned to me. “I'll need uniform dresses for my company” “I run a modelling company, and we have a show coming up.” She stretched her hand to me. Inside it was a business card I took from her without hesitation. “The models need to be in matching dresses” I was still listening to her, though my face was now fixed on the card in my hand. I examined it, trie
Chapter 118Sabrina's POV. It's the day Lilith gets discharged. I finished up everything I needed to do within an hour, and called Lilith before I left the house. “Hey, sister-in-law,” she called. “I'll take that as good morning” I said with a rushed tone. “Anything you'd like me to bring to the hospital?” “Wait…. You are willing to change this dress?” “Of course” I responded casually. “Since the only princess of the McCorkindales is complaining, what choice do I have?” For a moment, she cooed, not expecting that. I rolled my eyes even though she couldn't see them. She wasn't coming from an overseas trip, but a goddamn fucking hospital ward. Yet, she wants to be dolled up so nicely like she was never sick. “Get me a designer dress, the brand doesn't matter” she said. “A bouquet of flower, and my favorite takeout meal” I was getting angry, or rather, frustrated. How can she ask for a designer cloth because she's getting discharged? A bouquet? Acceptable. And the takeout meal…
Lilith's POV. Lilith was the first to laugh. “What had suddenly gotten into you?” She asked. “Suddenly interested in gists?” I only smiled. They kept talking and I realized they were talking about hospitals. How painful injections could be, and how much it hurts to see their loved ones sick on the bed. The moment they mentioned that, my eyes moved to Luca. Mom noticed before I could stare at him for long. “He'll be fine, sweetheart” “Of course” he'll be fine. Two hours later, it was already late. I wanted to escort Mom, at least until she got a cab, but when she told me she was going to head home with me, I blinked. “I'll be staying here overnight. You can head home, I promise to pay you a visit by weekend” The look on Mom's face told me she was going to decline, but before she could even talk, Lilith spoke. “You don't need to stay, you've barely slept for three days, I'll take care of him tonight” No. Not allowing that. “I’ll—” Mom's voice cut mine off before my words co
Sabrina's POV. “Change into this. It's the best cloth I think would suit you from all of the dresses I have” I laid the dress bare in front of Lilith who stared at it with an expressionless face. I folded her clothes neatly and tucked it into the bag I had brought. “This looks old fashioned” she bickered. I paused and for a moment, rolled my eyes. “You heard me, Lilith. I found you the best I could find” “You could have gotten a new dress. Or bring me one of your gala dresses” she said. Was she being serious right now? Yes, and she was being ungrateful. Two days had passed. Lilith had gotten much better, and according to the doctor and her health chart, she could get discharged tomorrow. I brought her my gown, since there was none of her clothes at my place and the McCorkindale’s mansion was too far to reach. I mean, why go through the hassle when she could just fit into my dresses to make it through the lobby of the hospital into the car that would drop her right into her gr
Author's POV. "I enjoyed the show you put up, Haynes. However, I'd rate it 40 over 100" Haynes didn't need to check the voice again to know who was speaking on the line, he knew it was undoubtedly Camilla. He was still angry to know that Luca had survived, and Sabrina had played him by taking the bitch along too. He should have just killed the both of them right there, that was the mistake he made. Haynes grabbed his name plate, tightening his grip around it as it looked like he was going to crush the poor thing if he had the strength. "You don't want me to take out my anger on you, do you?" Haynes' voice was dark, his jaws gritted. Camilla laughed. She swirled the chair around as she held the phone to her ears, staying silent for a moment. For a split second, she wondered why Haynes didn't hang up immediately, but she knew he'd do exactly that if she decided to ask. "You failed woefully," Camilla continued. "I mean....." Her words were expressed with disgust. "Who tried to
Luca's POV My gaze was still fixed on the new guests, waiting for them to speak. Dad stepped up, his voice sharp. “No, Luca. We came here to get him” he said. “We warned him not to come,” he said. I scoffed. “But the deed is done. A driver is badly hurt, fighting for his life, Grandpa is in the h

Sabrina's POV “I don't want to fuck you right now, Sabrina” Luca said. He leaned close to me, his body frame pinning me beneath him. “I want to make you beg for it,” he whispered.
