Chapter 17

Pedro’s pov

It’d been two days since we made the pact. Two days since I watched her fall apart, tears streaming down her rosy cheeks…and I did nothing but stare at her coldly. I could still recall how my hand itched to hold her in y arms, how I wanted to kiss the tears in her eyes and tell her there was no one who could ever take her place. Luna or not.

But I couldn’t. Because this was for her.

I had provided her with a secret pregnancy crew, one who could secretly watch over her.

  • BOUND TO THE ALPHA: SECRET HEIRS OF THE KING    DIE, ALPHA!

Chapter 20Pedro’s povSadie’s words hit me like a slap. She leaned in slightly, eyes gleaming with malicious satisfaction. “Oh, I know my brother betrayed me long ago,” she said, her voice dripping with bitterness. “Xavier won’t be coming for me anytime soon. He made that clear the last time he abandoned me to your mercy. So I’m buying my own freedom, Pedro. One way or another.”I paled with rage, the color draining from my face as my wolf surged forward, clawing to be released. My hands clenched into fists so tight my knuckles cracked. “You’re not getting it,” I snarled, stepping toward her with every word. “Not today. Not ever. You think you can scheme and poison your way out of the debt your family owes? You’re delusional.”By now Sadie had edged closer to us, her movements deceptively casual. Quinton shifted uncomfortably beside me, tension radiating from him. Suddenly, without warning, she whipped out a small glass bottle from the folds of her sleeve and hurled it directly at ou

  • BOUND TO THE ALPHA: SECRET HEIRS OF THE KING    LET HER DEATH BE A MESSAGE TO ANYONE ELSE THINKING OF BETRAYAL

Chapter 36Pedro’s povSadie gasped in horror, her hand flying to her mouth as Carmen’s body crumpled to the floor in a lifeless heap. Blood pooled quickly across the wooden planks, the metallic scent sharp and heavy in the air. I maintained my smile, calm and unhurried, wiping my bloodied claws casually on a handkerchief from my desk before tucking it away.Clean up in my office. Now, I mindlinked the nearest guard, my tone leaving no room for delay.Quinton’s face twisted with fury. “Pedro! What have you done?” he yelled, voice booming through the room like thunder. “You killed her! She could have given us answers—names, connections. Have you lost your mind?”I turned slowly, meeting my father’s blazing eyes without a flicker of remorse. “She was a traitor, Father. She tried to murder my mate. No one who raises a hand—or a vial—against what’s mine gets to live to tell that tale. Let her death be a message to anyone else thinking of betrayal.”Martin stepped forward, still pale from

  • BOUND TO THE ALPHA: SECRET HEIRS OF THE KING    I WAS THE ONE WHO ATTACKED YOUR MATE

Chapter 19Half an hour later, I was seated behind the heavy oak desk in my office, the tension in the room already thick enough to cut with a claw. Martin stood near the window, arms crossed tightly over his chest, while Quinton sat across from me, fingers drumming restlessly on the arm of his chair. We’d barely started going over the search reports when the door slammed open.Memphis dragged Carmen in roughly, shoving her forward into the center of the room. She stumbled but caught herself, breathing hard, her uniform torn and her hair wild. The defiance in her eyes didn’t fool me for a second.I rose slowly from my seat, letting the silence stretch. “Who sent you?” I asked, voice dangerously calm.Carmen lifted her chin and said nothing.I stepped around the desk, eyes locked on her. “You tried to poison Harper with wolfsbane. I smelled it on the tray myself. Don’t stand there pretending you’re innocent. Who gave the order, Carmen?”Still nothing. Her jaw clenched tighter, gaze fix

  • BOUND TO THE ALPHA: SECRET HEIRS OF THE KING    I DONT WANT HIM AS MY BETA ANYMORE

Chapter 18I barely registered the door opening. My focus stayed locked on Harper’s still form on the bed, the wet towel cooling her forehead, the shallow rise and fall of her chest that felt too fragile for everything she’d already survived. Sweat still clung to my own skin, my wolf pacing restlessly inside me, snarling at every unanswered question.Memphis, Maria, and Alma stepped in quietly. I didn’t look up.“Alpha,” Maria said softly, already moving toward the bed with her bag. “We came as soon as we heard.”I stayed rooted in place, one hand hovering near Harper’s shoulder as if I could shield her from the world. “Check her, thoroughly. Every sign, every breath. Tell me exactly what you find.” My voice came out rough, edged with the growl I couldn’t quite suppress. “And has anyone found Carmen yet?”Alma moved to the other side of the bed, her experienced hands gentle as she checked Harper’s pulse and lifted her eyelids. Maria began unpacking supplies—bandages, vials, a stethosc

  • BOUND TO THE ALPHA: SECRET HEIRS OF THE KING    I CANT HEAR THE CHILD’S HEARTBEAT

Chapter 33 Pedro’s pov Rage burned through me like wildfire as I stormed toward the old Elder’s hall in the south wing. Martin’s mindlink had lit a fuse I couldn’t ignore. An imposter. Harper Gerald. My wolf clawed at the edges of my control, demanding blood, answers, action. The compound was locked down tight, guards moving like shadows in the corridors, but none of it eased the frustration clawing at my chest. Do not touch her, I snarled through the mindlink to Martin, the command laced with enough Alpha power to make most wolves submit on the spot. That’s an order. I didn’t wait for confirmation. My boots echoed off the ancient stone floors of the Elder’s hall as I shoved the heavy doors open. The room smelled of dust and old wood, dimly lit by a few wall sconces. And there she was—Harper—strapped to one of the old wooden chairs like a prisoner awaiting judgment. Her head lolled forward, dark hair falling across her face. Martin stood beside her, looking far too satisfied fo

  • BOUND TO THE ALPHA: SECRET HEIRS OF THE KING    WHO IS THE REAL HARPER?

Chapter 32Pedro’s povI paced the length of my private quarters like a caged wolf, fury simmering so hot it felt like it might burn through my skin. Harper had lied to me. Straight to my face. Again. Even after I’d given her the chance to come clean, even after I’d wrapped my hand around her throat and felt her pulse hammering with fear. She’d thought I was stupid enough not to dig deeper. Thought I wouldn’t uncover the truth about her past in Gerald’s pack, her so-called promotion, her cozy little arrangement with that bastard Elec. The memory of her tears and broken voice did nothing to soften the rage. If anything, it sharpened it. She’d played the victim so convincingly—trembling, pleading, swearing she wasn’t a spy. And for a split second I’d almost believed her. Almost. But trust was earned, and she’d just proven why I never gave it freely.A frantic knock shattered the silence, followed by the door bursting open without permission. Memphis stumbled in, one hand clamped over hi

Chapter 5Harper’s povIt took me about 10 seconds to realize what Quinton, Pedro’s father had just implied. A tiny whimper left my lips and I clamped my mouth shut. A breeder?Of course I was nothing but a lowly omega but I had never thought I would be forced to only breed for an alpha. I could
