Bailey's Pov:

"Wait. Please wait," Bailey yelled. Her lungs burned as the yellow school bus pulled away from the curb.

Exhaust fumes hit her face. She stopped and rested her hands on her knees, gasping for air. The morning air was freezing. A light drizzle had just started to fall, soaking through her thin cotton jacket.

A sleek black Porsche slowed down next to her. The tinted passenger window rolled down smoothly.

Hudson leaned over from the driver's seat. His dark hair was perfectly styled. His eyes were cold blue ice. He wore a designer leather jacket that cost more than Bailey would make in a year.

"Run faster, Omega," Hudson smirked. "Or did you forget how to use your legs?"

Zayn laughed from the passenger seat. "Let her walk, Hud. It builds character."

"You could give me a ride," Bailey said. Her voice shook from the cold.

"We live in the same house."

Hudson's eyes darkened instantly. All traces of amusement vanished.

"We sleep under the same roof," Hudson said. His voice was dangerously low.

"That does not make us family. My father's cars are for pack royalty.”

He hit the gas. The tires spun in the muddy puddle right next to the curb. Dirty, freezing water splashed all over Bailey's jeans and worn-out sneakers.

She wiped the gritty water from her cheek. She watched the red taillights disappear down the road.

Bailey walked three miles to Blackwood High. The doors slammed shut behind her as she entered the main hallway. She was shivering. Her clothes clung to her skin.

Rhea was waiting by her locker. She took one look at Bailey and sighed.

"They did it again," Rhea said.

"Hudson splashed me," Bailey whispered. She opened her locker and grabbed a spare grey hoodie.

"He made sure to hit the biggest puddle on the street."

"They are monsters, Bailey. Pure Alpha blood or not. They have no right to treat you like dirt."

"They are the Alpha's sons. They can do whatever they want." Bailey pulled the oversized hoodie over her wet shirt. "And my mother is gone. I have no one to speak for me in this pack."

Rhea closed her locker. "Your eighteenth birthday is next week. You will shift. You will find your mate. Then you can leave this hellhole."

"Who would want an Omega with no dowry and a target on her back?" Bailey asked bitterly.

"The Moon Goddess does not make mistakes," Rhea said softly. "Come on. We have History."

They walked into the classroom. The room went dead silent.

Hudson sat at the very back. His heavy combat boots rested on the desk in front of him. Beckett sat to his left. Zayn was on his right. The golden triplet princes of the Blood Moon pack.

Hudson stared at Bailey. The air in the room grew heavy with Alpha command. The hairs on the back of Bailey's neck stood up.

"You smell like wet dog," Hudson said loud enough for the whole class to hear.

A few students in the front row snickered.

Bailey kept her eyes on the floor. She walked toward an empty desk near the window.

"I am talking to you," Hudson said. His voice dropped an octave.

Bailey stopped. She turned around slowly. "I walked in the rain, Hudson."

"That is Alpha Hudson to you," Beckett corrected her with a lazy, arrogant smile.

"Alpha Hudson," Bailey repeated. Her nails dug into her palms until they bled.

Hudson stood up. He walked down the aisle slowly. He was six foot three and built like an underground fighter. The sleeves of his black shirt were pushed up, revealing the dark ink of his pack tattoos wrapping around his muscular forearms.

He stopped inches from her. The scent of pine and mint flooded her senses. It was a suffocating, intoxicating smell that always made her wolf pace restlessly.

He leaned down. His lips brushed against her ear.

"You are a disgrace to our house," Hudson whispered. "My father is throwing a banquet this weekend for the neighboring Alphas. You will not attend. You will stay in the kitchen where you belong."

"I am part of the family," Bailey breathed out. Her heart hammered against her ribs.

Hudson grabbed her chin. His grip was bruising and punishing. He forced her to look into his eyes.

"You are nothing," he said. His eyes burned into hers. "You are a stray my father took pity on. And when you turn eighteen next week, I am personally kicking you out of the pack."

Bailey's breath hitched. To be made a rogue was a death sentence for a wolf with no protection.

"He would not let you do that," she said.

Hudson smiled. It was a cruel, heartless curve of his lips.

"He already signed the banishment papers," Hudson whispered.

Tears prickled the corners of her eyes, but she refused to let them fall.

Hudson leaned closer. His nose brushed her jawline. He took a slow, deep breath. His body suddenly went rigid. His eyes widened for a fraction of a second before hardening into pure, unadulterated hatred.

"Your scent is changing," Hudson muttered. His voice was thick with a sudden, violent disgust. He stared at her lips, then back up to her terrified eyes. "And if the Moon Goddess is playing the sick joke i think she is playing... I will kill you myself before I ever claim you.”

  • Claimed By The Monster King   Chapter 27: The Weight of words

HADES’ POV The sharp knock echoed through our bedroom again and I held Bailey tighter against my chest with her leg draped over mine. Her body felt soft and warm as she stirred slightly in my arms. I brushed my lips across her forehead and ignored the sound at the door because we had endured enough interruptions for one night. My mind kept circling back to the words I had spoken earlier. I love you. They had come out so naturally while we tangled together yet now they sat like stones in my stomach. Saying them out loud felt dangerous with the massive secret I kept hidden about her blood and her true power. If she ever discovered what I had concealed for ten years she would turn away from me forever and the thought carved a deep ache through my chest as I stroked her silver hair with careful fingers. “There’s someone at the door,” she muttered. “Pay no attention to that noise,” I murmured against her temple. “We have faced plenty of madness today already. Close your eyes and r

  • Claimed By The Monster King   Chapter 26: Midnight Flames

BAILEY’S POVI melted deeper into Hades as his mouth claimed mine with growing heat. His hands cradled my face at first then slid down my neck and along my shoulders, pulling me flush against his hard chest. I kissed him back with everything in me, fingers threading through his dark hair while my body pressed closer. The taste of him filled me, warm and addictive, and a soft sound escaped my throat when his tongue brushed mine. Heat pooled low in my belly as his fingers traced down my spine through the thin nightgown. He walked me backward until my legs hit the edge of the bed. We tumbled onto the soft blankets together with him hovering over me, his weight delicious and careful. I arched up into him, chasing the friction of his body against mine. My hands roamed over his shoulders and down his back, feeling the flex of powerful muscles under my palms. He groaned into the kiss and nipped my lower lip gently before soothing it with his tongue. Desire rushed through me sharp and urgent.

  • Claimed By The Monster King   Chapter 25: Chosen

BAILEY’S POVI stood there in the torchlit courtyard with the cold stone under my bare feet and Hades’ strong arm wrapped around my waist. My nightgown fluttered in the night wind while the triplets knelt in front of me, their faces already streaked with tears. I had heard enough. I did not want any part of this.“Leave me alone,” I said clearly, my voice steady despite the exhaustion pulling at me. “Go back to your pack and stop coming here. You had ten years with me and you treated me like I was nothing. I am done.”Hudson’s eyes hardened with that familiar stubbornness. He suddenly jerked violently against the guards, snapping one cuff free with a sharp crack. He lunged forward and grabbed my arm, yanking me a step toward him. His grip bit into my skin.“Bailey, you have to listen—”Hades went rigid beside me. I felt the surge of raw power roll off him as his silver eyes locked onto Hudson with deadly focus. He did not move yet, but the threat hung thick in the air.Hudson dropped

  • Claimed By The Monster King   Chapter 24: Shadows at midnight

HADE’S POVI lay in the darkness with Bailey curled against my chest, her silver hair spilling across my shirt like moonlight on water. Her breathing had finally settled into a slow, even rhythm after hours of fitful sleep. Every now and then a small tremor ran through her body, and I tightened my arm around her, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. The room was quiet except for the faint rustle of night wind through the gardens outside our window. For the first time in days, peace wrapped around us like a fragile cocoon. My mind refused to rest. The images from the temple replayed behind my eyes—the glowing runes, the iron chains cutting into her wrists, the black-robed fanatics chanting her name like she was some sacrificial prize. Debra’s betrayal burned like acid in my veins. But worse was the truth I carried. The secret I had guarded for ten long years. The words slipped out before I could stop them, a quiet murmur into the shadows. “Ten years I have guarded the secret of your

BAILEY’S POVI woke up screaming. The sound ripped from my throat like shards of glass, raw and desperate. “Let me go! Please—don’t take me! Please, let me go. Hade save me!”My arms flailed, clawing at invisible hands that still pressed the soaked rag over my face. I could smell it again, that sickly sweet chemical bite mixed with incense. Chains rattled in my memory, cold iron biting into my wrists. Stone floor. Glowing symbols pulsing beneath my bare feet like living veins. Black-robed figures chanting in a language that made my skin crawl.“Hades!” The name tore out of me. “Somebody help me!”The door to our bedroom burst open with a crack that made me flinch. Heavy footsteps crossed the room in three strides. Strong arms wrapped around me, pulling my thrashing body against a solid, warm chest. I fought harder at first, nails scraping, elbows flying, until his scent broke through the terror.Dark cedar, smoke, and safety. Hades.“Hey… it’s okay, baby girl,” Hade whispered. “I’m he

  • Claimed By The Monster King   Chapter 22: The monster unleashed

HADE’S POVAlpha Darius led us away from the palace without another word. His steps moved quickly through the forest path as we followed close behind. Cassian stayed at my right while the triplets kept silent distance. Debra walked between two guards with fear clear on her face.I could smell Bailey’s scent growing stronger with every step. It mixed with fear and chemicals and it fueled the rage burning inside my chest. The temple appeared ahead of us. Ancient stones covered in vines and decay rose from the ground like forgotten bones.Darius pushed the heavy doors open. The sight inside sent my blood boiling. Bailey hung suspended in the center of a ritual circle with chains holding her wrists high. Her feet barely touched the stone floor. Ancient symbols glowed around her and men in black robes gathered nearby with a cloth pressed to her face. They tried to move her. They tried to take her from me.I exploded forward with a roar that shook the pillars. My body shifted partially as s
