THE BEAST

Intro:

In the shadowed mountain town of blue bridge , a spoiled heiress Dominica Verda who’s not just Beautiful, sharp tongued, and dangerously stubborn lives.

Dominica is not just an orphan but also an introvert, she’s a smartass business woman who runs her business from home but most times her business trips tends to take her in and out of town. She’s a popular local who’s helped the community through her family’s wealth.

She’s always wanted to live a simple normal life.

But the woods surrounding blue bridge have always belonged to something ancient, Something feared.

So normal is overrated!

Whispers of a monster called Fenris have haunted the town for years, a savage beast that stalks the forests at night, half man, half nightmare. The locals fear him. Hunters disappear because of him. And every full moon, the woods bleed.

Dominica should have stayed away even after her parents were gone...

But well she never did believe in such folktales and she loves her town.

Until one reckless night changes everything when she wanders too deep into Fenris’s territory and catches the attention of the creature himself.

He’s massive, violent, possessive, and cursed by a dark ancient bloodline, Fenris instantly recognizes her scent as his mate.

DOMINICA VERDA’S P.O.V.

Blue bridge is a small town in the country, it's supposed to be a quiet place where people can co exist and live in peace. It's supposed to be a sanitarium but it's not infact it's the opposite, a small town that's supposed to be cute and peaceful is a town filled with constant bad news and deaths of youths and teens.

There are countless series of brutal slayings, killings of teens or youths who go hiking or walk in the dead of the night. A friend of a friend always mourns, a friend of a neighbor always cries all this is happening because of an evil force that has continued to plague their town for centuries.

A promise that was made by the humans and the beasts has paved a leeway for all the unfortunate happenings in the town of blue bridge. Once upon a time it was a very beautiful and crime free town blessed and filled with abundant lands and mountains and then It was not hard to imagine why so many people loved to retreat into the Blue Ridge Mountains, which covered the ancient forests between Romania and Transylvania. Between the breathtaking views and outdoor adventures that await around almost every turn, then there was something mesmerizing about exploring such a majestic terrain.

The towns scattered throughout the Blue Ridge region added to the blissful experience with their history and rich Appalachian culture but now all that is just a dream now. Things are different now, with the animals roaming the woods and mountains. If you can see them, then you’re already dead. If you can hear them, then you’re not far from them either which means you run for your dear lives..

No one is allowed to go explore or roam around the mountains again, the same mountain that was used for sightseeing and your trips is now a danger zone infact it's now a death trap so tread at your own risk. Because there are monsters in the shadows of Blue bridge forests, and their king needs his queen.

In the deepest hours of the night, when the moon is at it's powerful and shinest peak the beasts begins to lurk around Crawling through the streets of the tiny, secluded town. That seems to be the new genesis and fate of Blue Bridge. The people and locals of the town quiver in fear hiding out in their homes and not being able to move freely around their own town.

Their doors marked with symbols of protection as stated in the bible to ward off the angel of death that came to take life. The fear made some of the locals religious and fetish taking offerings to the edge of the town’s limits or to the mountains to ward off the spirits.

No one knows what the demons look like and whoever gets to find out what they are, either ends up dead or mauled, of course there have been stories and rumors about the creatures of the night that comes out on all fours. They travel beneath the moon, and they are dangerous and lethal. No one knows their name or what they are and they do not want to either, their mind is only filled with fear as they listened to their claws and growls scraping their doors and windows as they pretend to sleep...

No one wants to die, no one wants to lose their loved ones, no one wants to mourn their Friends, family, lover or neighbor so they all rush into their homes when the sun begins to set. Closing their windows with a red symbol painted on their door to ward against the evil. They used all kinds of tailsman, charms, garlic, ammonia, anything they could find in the legends to decorate their doorsteps so as to hide their scents and presence else the beast finds them…

The locals have come to a conclusion that they're mere appetizers to the beast and being that far down in the food chain in their own hometown scares the hell out of them hence and the effort of putting up protection wards real or fake to distract and confuse the beast. They most certainly don't want to be the mothers, fathers, sisters, or brothers who wake in the morning to find one bed empty within their house and footprints that seem like men’s feet, caked in dirt, leading to their loved one’s bedroom.

No one wants to die or lose a loved one!!!!

They all just want to survive.

And that's what Dominica Verda has been doing, She's always been an introvert so staying indoors shouldn't be a problem for her. She's been stuck in her house hiding out for the past twenty years of her life, she comes from a wealthy family and yes she can definitely leave Blue bridge but if she goes away that will be the same as abandoning her family's heritage..

Well I guess money dosen't mean a thing when you're stuck in a town that mourns ten times a week but the good part is, even if you too scared to leave. Money and greed should be the motivation to stay...

Dominica Verda might be an Introvert but that doesn't mean she's an airhead, she's fiesty. Lacks a healthy social life and skill but she's super rich and popular online too. She's the Bella Donna of the town, she manages her family's business in new York, new Orleans and Paris from home.

And yes she's orphaned, and a single child but she's living just fine.

She might seem too young to handle and manage such a large business but she's capable and also taking an online course so she won't risk been killed or mauled because if she does ends up dead ..

Her inheritance will probably go to charity or to her selfish and greedy uncles. Dominica might be a rich fancy spoilt princess but she dosen't party. And yes the whole history of youths and teens been killed might have spoilt the vibes for anyone to have fun but there are still some airheads out there who dosen't believe about the beasts been real...

Anyway Dominica is a good girl, rich but decent and sensible. Taking charge of her father's business when she was just 16 years old made her tough and responsible. She knows not to be like the other girls who are usually taken from a risky gathering, passed out drunk by a bonfire. She knows she can't afford to do that. She's also part of the locals who painted the protection symbol on her family’s door. Infact she did it herself because she loves to draw even if it means warding off the thing of her little town’s nightmares, and she went through the exhausting training by the elders to learn the protective symbols, all of them, vested to only those capable of handling their magic.

Now with everything said about Dominica, do you think she's the type to believe this beast tales?

No, she doesn't. Dominica only believes what she sees, but she easily adaptive and so she learned to cope with the town's little nightmares. She doesn't believe in the supernaturals and think there must be some kind of explanation to the killings of those poor innocent people..

Probably a serial killer...

She got the best grades, was the best daughter, and had a fun filled life till she lost both her parents in a car accident. So now she lives in the big mansion her parent left her also let's not forget to add her little babies. She has two dogs and one cat, I know such an odd combo but thanks to this beautiful creatures Dominica never feels lonely in that big house...

With their constant barking and sounds the house has never felt more lively.

Her family's mansion is huge and surprisingly classy than the little homes you see in their little town that's with more woods than houses and more wild animals than not. Blue bridge is a town where you would see a deer crossing the road, it has happened a thousands times and to top it all Dominica is a terrible driver...

On her way back from her business trip to her new York branch. Jetlagged, tired and frustrated that her driver decided to take a off day on the very same day she arrived back to blue bridge. Dominica couldn't be anymore annoyed and angry, a terrible driver like her definitely should not be driving this late because the sun already descended, she had wasted so much time in Waiting for her driver at the airport only to get his call at the last minute that he wouldn't be able to make it any longer...

Is she scared she's driving this late?

Hell no!!

Dominica is just upset because she definitely can't risk breaking her neck in the middle of the road, that will definitely be the worst way to die just like her parents did. The type of death she envisions for herself is one where she's maybe sipping champagne in her jacuzzi tub and she just passed peacefully or it dosen't have to be a jacuzzi bathtub maybe an airplane?

Irritated at having to drive at night Dominica continues to curse at the driver who ditched her for God knows what!

She then increased the speed of her car hoping to get home quickly, she would be damned if she bashes this new baby of hers, her phone suddenly rings out, it was her secretary Katie calling. As she goes to grab her iPhone the deer came from nowhere as they usually did yet again...

Immediately she stepped on her brakes, and her tires skipped to a loud and screeching stop in the middle of the road...

"Shit"Dominica hisses out as she stared at the deer staring straight at her as it began to buck making a loud grunting sound to show off it's dominance...

"I'm a animal lover but no one dares to stop me"She screams out her sensible exterior and control finally fleeing. She jumps out of the car walking as she stood Infront of the deer..

Screaming out her voice overpowering the deer's own bellowing sound. The deer stared at her it's eyes glued to her figure as he probably wondered what type of creature she was...

Dominica didn't give a fuck if anyone saw her screaming her lungs out it's already past sundown and no cars would be passing by until sunrise. No one would see her and her car, no one would find her....

It was past dark, Fuck!!!

Fuck the damn driver...

Fuck the damn deer!
