Morning arrived quietly over Frostveil.

The first rays of sunlight filtered through the frost-laced windows, painting pale streaks of gold across the stone chamber. Outside, snow continued to drift from the gray winter sky, blanketing the castle grounds in pristine white.

The fire in the hearth had long since burned low, its embers glowing faintly beneath a bed of ash.

Beneath the heavy blankets, Estelle stirred.

For a brief, blissful moment, she forgot where she was.

She merely felt... warm.
