Stacy POV

The burning effect on my tongue slowly soothes by the time June puts ice cubes wrapped in a towel. “Hang in for a while, at least until the burning sensation is milder,” Her gentle voice keeps my stares at her steadily.

“Ehmmm,” I nod eagerly, obeying what she has instructed.

Meanwhile, Mom moves her chair and sits next to me. Her orbs reflects anxiety mixed with panic as she comments, “You should have it blown since it is freshly cooked, dear.”

I can only roll my eyes without any words. Actually, I want to confirm that I was a bit clumsier, but I’m unable to utter due to my burnt tongue. Then, another reaction is uttered by Sam, “As luck would have it, June decisively takes ice cubes and a towel.”

“What a smart trick, girl!” Dad compliments her immediately. It is obvious he is impressed by June’s ability to handle an unexpected problem in this dinner occasion.

“Well, I only remember a few steps on how to soothe the burning tongue. It’s not complex, sir.” June gently speaks out her mind. Through the idea, it is clear that she is not a bragging type.

Listening to her responses, mom smiles widely and replies, “Maybe, it looks simple, but it proves that you make a great sister-in-law for Stacy. Isn’t it right, honey Sam?”

As the words come from mom’s mouth, her orbs aim at me, as if she waited for me to express agreement to her statement. Again, all I can do is staring at mom and June in turns. It seems that I’m okay with the idea of June as a great sister-in-law for me. Nonetheless, it is not like that since I have a thing for her. To me, she will always be someone I cherish the most. Even if she doesn’t realize my feelings, my heart will stay with the same love for her.

“That’s definitely right, mom. She will be a good mom also since her capability of being an in-law is promising.” Sam asserts. His facial expression clearly describe that he is eager to make a vow with June in front of the altar.

By the time Sam states his personal opinion about June, I also find that June just smiles a little. It seems that she doesn’t really drive her plan further. Either she considers his opinion as a joke or she may never think of getting married to my big bro. Another assumption that come to my mind is she may not be ready to level up the relationship to the next state. The main reason supporting it is figuring someone she loves may be the first and foremost for her.

End of POV

After the dinner ends, Sam decides to send his lovely girlfriend home. When they are on the way, Sam grins at her. He notices that there are a few positive reactions from his parents about June as his girlfriend. Then, he opens the conversation by uttering, “I have chosen the righteous decision by dating you, June.”

“How is that the righteous? We date because we are in love, don’t we?” June stares at him, wondering what makes her boyfriend feel that way. For her, personally, dating a man like him is a decent opportunity to see if the relationship really works and develops into something bigger and committed.

“Didn’t you see that my parents were impressed by you? They agree on our relationship, honey." He declares joyfully. Through his tone, his hope rises, as if it was a floating baloon in the sky.

June shakes her head a bit. She is not sure if her boyfriend's parents accept her existence. Instead, she assumes it as a coincidence since it is her first meeting with them. It may be possible if they only try to be nice to their guest.

Therefore, she replies, "We can't conclude it for the first time, Sam. Your mom and dad have been around the block. They know how to act to determine the woman you are dating."

Not bothering by June's comments, Sam strikes a gentle smile on his charming face. He also extends his left hand to hers and squeezes it gently. "You don't need to worry. It's certainly confirmed my parents like you." He calms her down.

"Well, I hope that it truly transpires." June squeezes back his hand, trying to fullfil herself with optimism and high hopes.

A few minutes forward, Sam parks his car at the parking area, and opens the door for June. "Thank you for having dinner with my family today," He says in the warmest tone.

"No problem. It's an honor for me to get closer to your family." June express her gratitude as she smiles, exuding her alluring yet gorgeous visual.

After that, she adds, "Let's call it a night, shall we? Good night, Sam."

When she is about to walk and leave him, he gently holds her right arm and requests, "Can I have a good night kiss from my dearest girl?"

June, rolling back at him, smirked. Without any returning words, she presses her lips against his left cheek. "Here you go," She continues once she has done.

Feeling on the clouf nine, Sam touches his cheek while grinning. It is another time for him to get a kiss from June, but it always excites him. His fantasy to hook up with her also grows wilder since his previous attempt was delayed by Stacy.

While he has got on the car, seating behind the steering wheel, he speaks in his mind, "I guess I need to find a good time to f*ck her. Maybe, it is best not to be at home. At the hotel or my private apartement unit will hit the target. I'll make sure that she cannot escape. Even, no body will not save her."

With that lusty thought of his girlfriend, Sam pulls out his car from the parking lot to the street. He carefully pay attention to the traffic lights whenever he needs to stop or go straight along, with the other vehicles.

  • Dating My Brother's Fiancee   Stacy's uneasiness

Stacy POV I frown as the reason comes out of his mouth. Is that really the thing that disappoints him like this? It still feels odd to see him act like a sulky little boy who does not get what he wants. I then fish for another assurance since the oddity still exists in his tone. "Are you sure it is the cause? It seems there are more than just a thing or maybe a few," I add with a concern in my utterance. Sam crafts a tiny smile although he doesn't really face his head and body to see me. Moreover, there is a pause between our conversation. I notice he is sighing for a moment. After that, he replies in careful tones, "I cannot tell you right now. I only need some fresh air on my own, Stacy." I pinch my gazes at him thoroughly. A wonder creeping in my heart forces me to ask, but my logic holds it since I realize the fact that Sam will not be opened for now. He can be a type who hide a thing for himself although he actually needs some extra hands to resolve it. "Hey, you can

  • Dating My Brother's Fiancee   Sam's cold reaction

The new day greets me gleefully. The sun rises over a few sheets of clouds floating in a blue sky. The birds chirp merrily. Some of them are flying in the trees, near the Barfield's house. It is around 07.45 when Stella is busy in the kitchen. She is fighting with the stove and ingredients as she smiles lightly. Cooking is a daily routine for her, but it never becomes a burden, even though it is quite long and busy sometimes. When the breakfast is ready on the table, the gentle thuds are perceived. Along with the noise, Stacy exists as she yawns lazily. "Morning, mom," She greets weakly, and Stella tugs a tiny smile. "You look exhausted, dear," Stella commented in a casual tone. She then inquires, "What time did you arrive last night?" Stacy rubs her eyes carefully. The indolent tone still dominates her voice. "Well, maybe around ten forty. They are so wild," she intentionally lies. Through her expression, it is clear enough that she attempts to reassure Stella so no suspic

  • Dating My Brother's Fiancee   Another minute to lean

Stacy POV As those questions come from her mouth, a beam on my lips disappears. I know how overthinking June is. She seems to feel unsafe about everything in her life, including this relationship. It sometimes makes me frustrated when she ruins the happy vibes like this. "Hm, can you not ruin the vibe, babe? It's very intimate to stay three days in a villa, having some activities to do on our own. Nobody will judge us for being of the same sex." I glance at her as the protests are released. Without looking away from my face, she takes my hand and holds it carefully. She doesn't directly reply to my words as I notice her stare seems to be more composed than usual. I know she tries to select and construct certain words into a reasonable explanation. "I'm sorry if it feels like I ruin the good vibe. I only make sure you don't deceive your mom and dad again." June responded softly as her thumb caressed the back of my hand. I can sense her sincerity in her words and actions.

  • Dating My Brother's Fiancee   Bitter reality

Sam POV The moment, my sister entered the restaurant, my heart pounded. At that moment, I also tried to think positively. I still believed that my sister was really hanging out with her best friends, just as she had told Mom before. Nevertheless, as I step inside and follow her to the rooftop, doubt creeps into my mind. A few what-ifs appear in my head, as if those things were signs that my sister was dating the same person who had once been my fiancé. Then, the doubt in my heart grows bigger. It turns into a fact, right in front of my eyes. Not only does it appear, but it also slaps my ego. The view I see between Stacy and June is proof that awakens my senses rudely. Yeah, I admit I still love her. My heart is longing for June's existence. Each time, I always expect her chat when a notification pops up on my phone screen. Sometimes, I want to meet her as a friend, inviting her to lunch, but I notice that there will be a gap because there is nothing between us. Another th

Stacy POV Finally, the time I have rooted for comes to an end. After changing my casual home wear to a flowery knee-length gown, I gently apply sunblock to my face as I stand in front of the mirror. Then, I put powder evenly on my face. Once I have finished with my makeup and hair, I get out of my room, looking for my glittery slippers on the shoe shelves next to my door, exactly on the left side. "TAP! TAP!" The clicking sound is apprehended as I have worn the slippers and hit them on the floor. "You look stunning, honey." Mom lands her eyes on me attentively. She always notices my appearance, especially when I have an important event, but for now, I cannot discern the true intention behind my good looks. Like it or not, I must lie. I'm so sorry, Mom. I tug a gentle beam as I stare at her softly. Then, I say, "Not so stunning, Mom. I only try not to look messed up." "Really? You are in full makeup now. Are you sure this is not so stunninn'tyou looking like this for your b
