I nodded and snuggled closer into his arms. I didn't understand why, but I felt so good, safe for once in my life.

Man: Do you know your age?

Angel: No,

I replied with a resigned sigh.

Man: How long has he been giving you the treatment?

I thought to remember how long…

Angel: It started two winters ago, a few days before the first snow, a few days before the autumn equinox, I think.

Man: So that makes two years! You must be about twenty, that's good, it's not too late…

I didn't understand.

Angel: Too late?

Man: He didn't teach you anything, did he?

My eyes filled with tears, I signaled no.

Man: It's alright, Angel. Not all wolves manifest at eighteen. Sometimes, a person can wait until they're twenty-one to have their wolf. It's rare, but it happens.

Angel: And... what happens if... at twenty-one, the person doesn't have a wolf?

I saw him smile gently.

Man: We'll discuss that later. I need to check a few details. But what I do know is that the later the first transformation, the more painful it is.

I swallowed hard as I looked at him. Hadn't I suffered enough already?

Man: I'm sorry, Angel. I wish I had found you sooner...

He sighed and continued,

Man: When the Moon Goddess appeared to me in a dream to tell me that my companion was in grave danger, I... I searched everywhere for you, but... I couldn't find you. Now I know why.

He tightened his embrace around me.

Man: Goodness, I didn't know you, I still don't know you, but I knew I had to find you no matter what. My angel, we'll discover who you are together, okay?

I nodded and buried my nose in his neck. I felt him laugh.

Man: Are you sniffing me, Angel?

I felt myself blushing to the tips of my hair. Goodness, that's what I was doing, wasn't it?

Man: What does my scent remind you of?"

The question surprised me. Why was he asking?

Man: To me, you smell like autumn, the scent of fertile earth being plowed after harvesting the vegetables. For me, it's a comforting smell because it's a sign of prosperity. So, what do I smell like to you?

Angel: Well... I imagine I must smell like that to everyone, right?

Man: No, my angel, to others you probably don’t feel anything special, but to me, your companion, you feel this good, fertile earth.

I looked at him incredulously, then whispered,

Angel: A coniferous forest in spring, a sign of renewal, hope, and freedom.

He smiled at me, his face softening, before kissing me on the tip of my nose.

Man: Come on, Angel, it’s time to eat.

He got out of bed, carried me in his arms as if I were a feather, and took me into a small kitchen where he gently placed me on a chair. He took two dishes from the oven, which had been keeping warm, and brought them to the table, placing one in front of me and lifting the cloche. The plate before me brought tears to my eyes; it contained a piece of red meat, accompanied by buttered potatoes and grilled green vegetables. Everything smelled divine. I felt my body tremble; I was hungry. The effect of the liquid he had given me earlier was beginning to wear off, but old fear reflexes were taking over again. What would I have to do if I ate? He sat down next to me and gently stroked my cheek. Instinctively, I pressed my cheek against his hand, which made him smile.

Man: You have nothing to do but eat. Nothing is expected in return, and you will never again be asked for anything in exchange for food. You are my companion, and it is my duty to take care of you.

Angel: I… I don’t…

I sighed, shocked at myself. I was afraid of everything: afraid to speak, afraid of being hit, whipped, tortured. I had to pull myself together and learn my new reality. I looked up at him and saw that he was gazing at me tenderly.

Angel: I don’t feel our connection yet, but… a part of me knows… I… I’m… sorry… I… what’s your name?

He burst out laughing and took my hand to his full lips.

Alexander: My name is Alexander, but my friends call me Alex.

Angel: Alexander… I like that name. Thank you for coming to save me.

He smiled gently at me, and I had the fleeting feeling that all my worries vanished.

Alexander: Eat now, or it'll get cold.

I took my first bite of meat. The beef was cooked to perfection, slightly pink. It felt like it was melting in my mouth, and I moaned with pleasure. Realizing what I'd done, I bit my lower lip and risked a glance at Alexander. He was eating slowly, smiling. Suddenly, I heard his voice in my head.

Alexander: Hmm, I love hearing you moan with pleasure.

I nearly choked on my mouthful and stared at him, stunned. His voice was still in my head; his words had sounded so sensual, good heavens…

Angel: Xander, please, let me get used to all this, it’s…

Alexander: Sorry, my angel.

I squinted at him. He looked anything but sorry; he even seemed rather happy…

Angel: Please, it’s all so new to me. I mean, just yesterday I thought I’d never have a wolf, never a mate, and then you came along. I mean, apart from what I saw at the Domain, I…

I sighed, finally admitting the obvious.

Angel: … I know nothing about the world, about wolves, about the Gift. I didn’t even know you could…

I gestured from him to me and back again.

Angel: …that you could speak to me like that's it just...

I stared into the window in front of me, not understanding what I was seeing. I didn't know this room, or this place. I had to force myself to remember that it was a vision, something from the future I was seeing. So, I focused on what I was seeing. I was in a dark room, in front of a window, and two girls were on the other side, talking. I could hear everything, but the two girls didn't seem to see me, as if I were behind a one-way mirror. The two girls: one blonde, with a small, upturned nose, large green eyes, a slim waist, and full lips. Her gaze was cold, conspiratorial. The other, with hair as black as night, had her back to the window, but I could see she was nervous.Blonde: I still can't believe the Alpha twins accepted that nobody as Luna! Everyone knows how much they hated her just a few days ago!Black: Don't worry! After tonight, they'll know what kind of girl she really is!The blonde sighed coldly.Blonde: How do you expect to do that? They won't leave her alone, under a

Biron: Luna, what can I do for you? Are your babies all right?I looked at the woman and sighed softly. I had requested an urgent appointment with her.Evangeline: They're fine… but I don't understand, I'm not producing milk for them anymore… I have to give them formula…She gave me an encouraging smile, and I felt the anxiety subside.Biron: I'm going to examine you, Luna… I seem to recall you had a heat a few weeks ago?Evangeline: Yes… a little over a month ago…Biron: That's probably normal, Luna… if you're pregnant again, your body naturally stops producing milk to conserve nutrients for the baby inside you.She stood up and went to her cabinet.Biron: I'm going to take a blood sample and have it analyzed urgently, Luna. Please come sit on the examination table.I obediently went to the table and rested my arms on the small side table. She took a small blood sample, and a nurse entered the room after knocking softly. The nurse left with the sample, and Dr. Biron looked at me gent

I felt as if my legs were buckling beneath me, and Alexander lifted me against him, keeping his finger inside me. I moaned incessantly, unable to stop. He gently laid me on the sofa and removed his own clothes. His gaze on me was feverish, and I swallowed compulsively, feeling my mouth go dry.Alexander: My Luna… I'll try to control myself… but I'm sorry in advance, my love…He turned me onto my stomach and lifted my buttocks to position me for easy penetration. He entered me slowly, but I could feel his body trembling as he tried to slow down. His hands gripped my hips, and I felt his fingers digging into my flesh. I pushed up with my arms, and he instinctively wrapped his arm around me, placing one hand on my stomach and the other on my upper chest. I raised my arms to wrap them around his head, moaning his name.Evangeline: Don't hold back, my Alpha… fuck me hard. His hand moved up to my throat, and he squeezed lightly, not hard enough to make it hard to breathe, but enough to rest

The men were now trembling with fear before Alexander's fury. The walls of the pack's house shook under the force of his Alpha power. I saw the men gasping for air and turning pale. They fell to their knees, begging Alexander for mercy, but they had angered the king, and nothing could undo that. I watched my men, who were witnessing the scene, with amusement and wondered why they weren't affected by the wave of Alpha force Alexander was unleashing. Then it dawned on me: these men, my men, had sworn loyalty and protection to me, not to Alexander. Alexander had agreed to relinquish his authority over them by allowing them to become my guards.I had noticed this phenomenon with Josh when he swore the oath of allegiance to me as a Gamma, but I hadn't realized it would happen to everyone else. Deep down, I knew Alexander was aware this would happen, and I was moved that he had sacrificed their bond for me. True, the men had chosen to follow me back then, but due to circumstances, the pack

  • Daughter of the Moon   Chapter 118

I was walking through the pack with Josh and Zach. My two little ones were in their double stroller. People regularly approached to admire my babies. It was their future Alpha, sleeping peacefully with his sister. Despite his young age, you could see on his little face all the seriousness of an Alpha. But above all, he always slept holding his little sister's hand, with a perfectly visible protective look, as if he wanted to defy the world to attack her. I hoped with all my heart that the feeling would remain the same for her. I didn't know how it really worked in families. Based on what Alexander said, familial love was almost as powerful as a soul bond. At least, that's what he felt for his brother.Zach: Evy, stay close to us. We've been followed for ten minutes.Josh: I'm calling for backup. You and the babies need to stay safe. It might be nothing, but we shouldn't take any risks. The two men flanked me, and I took my two little ones in my arms, holding them close to my heart. I

I was dead… completely exhausted… five days of non-stop pleasure. We'd only managed an hour or two of sleep a day since our respective cycles began. But now, I felt like things had calmed down.Alexander: How are you, my princess?I giggled like a schoolgirl as I turned to snuggle up to him. He wrapped his arm around my back and caressed my lower back tenderly.Evangeline: So, I'm your princess now?He chuckled against my forehead.Alexander: My princess… my queen… my Luna… my wife… my soulmate…He kissed my forehead every time he called me a pet name, and I felt myself grinning from ear to ear.Alexander: So… are you all right?Evangeline: I feel sore… but I’m fine… however, I could really use a shower… I just don’t have the energy to get up right now…He moved out from under me, and I groaned in frustration at feeling him get up. He chuckled and rolled me onto my back, lifting me into his arms. He kissed me gently and carried me to the bathroom.Alexander: So, let me take care of yo

So, I had the idea of ordering a little bit of everything from the menu so she could taste and choose. And since my Luna was hungry, I ordered some cheese appetizers to start feeding her. I also ordered a glass of white wine for her and for myself to make a toast. I hadn't anticipated her fear when
