My wife's lover accuses my daughter of dirtying his suit and calls her an ill-mannered brat. That very night, right in front of me, my wife chops off my daughter's hands as an apology to him. Consumed with rage, I grab that man's hair and slam his head against the wall until he's bleeding. Everyone thinks my wife, Celine Lynch, will have me arrested. Instead, she uses our daughter's life to force me into getting a divorce and leaving with nothing. "You useless trash, you can't even raise your own child right. Get out. Henry Judd and I had better not see you again," she says. After that, I take my daughter's ashes and leave for a faraway place. I vanish from their world and build up everything from scratch. Three years later, after establishing my own company, I meet Henry again at an industry summit. He stands there, wearing an expensive suit. With a wine glass in hand, he looks down at me and says, "Well, if it isn't Justin Yarrow, the poor loser who got kicked out? What, have you come here to freeload?" I laugh coldly. Then I grab him and slam him onto the table edge. My voice is icy as I say, "Looks like you forgot what it felt like to have your head split open. No matter. I'll remind you once more."

Chapter 1

Henry Judd let out a howl that sounded like a mutt whose tail had been stepped on.

The men and women fawning around him instantly erupted, all pointing at me as they shouted.

"What do you think you're doing?"

"How dare you lay a hand on Mr. Judd! Do you have any idea who he's backed by?"

One man tried to step forward and pull my hand off Henry's head, but I knocked him flat with a kick.

Henry's face had gone deathly pale from the pain, and blood seeped from his forehead. Yet, he still had the presence of mind to jab his finger at me.

"Justin Yarrow! You're insane! How dare you—"

"What wouldn't I dare?" I cut him off.

I released my grip and watched him clutch his head as he staggered backward. "It's been three years, yet all Celine Lynch taught you was how to run your mouth and act like some big shot?"

The surroundings fell silent for a moment. Celine's name was like a switch, snuffing out most of the noise.

Henry looked as if I had struck him where it hurt. His voice suddenly rose, tinged with tears. "Cece won't let you get away with this! Just you wait! Just wait!"

I slowly pulled a tissue from my pocket and carefully wiped my fingers, as though I had just touched something filthy.

"Then have her come. I've been wanting to ask her how she managed to raise a mutt that only knew how to put on airs into a useless piece of trash that's forgotten what pain feels like."

At those words, gasps rippled through the crowd one after another. Everyone knew Henry was the person Celine cherished most, even if he had once been nothing more than a lover who couldn't be acknowledged openly.

Over the past three years, due to Celine's indulgence, Henry had become one of the most untouchable men in the city.

And now, I had not only laid a hand on him, but also insulted both him and Celine in the process.

Henry trembled with rage. Tears mixed with blood streamed down his face, making him look both pathetic and miserable.

"Justin, you're nothing but trash thrown out by the Lynch family! A broke loser! How dare you lay a hand on me!" Henry snarled.

I took in Henry's current state, then stepped forward and closed the distance between us. I watched as he shrank back in terror.

"Henry, do you need me to remind you what it felt like to have your head split open and suffer a concussion?"

The color instantly drained from Henry's face, as if he had just seen a ghost. He shrieked and scrambled backward.

"Stop him! Stop this lunatic, quick!"

The people around us looked eager to step in, yet not a single one dared move forward.

Just then, the crowd parted on its own. A familiar, aloof figure walked toward us, surrounded by bodyguards.

Celine had arrived.
