Sienna's POV

After dinner was over, the atmosphere in the living room grew much warmer than before. Noah sat cross-legged on the carpet, assembling his small robot toys, while I casually cleared the dining table. Liam helped gather the empty food containers and carried them into the kitchen.

I watched the two of them from the kitchen Liam placing plates into the sink while occasionally glancing at Noah, and Noah chuckling to himself because his robot could stand without falling over.

Sienna's POVThat morning, the place that had been a home to many kids for the last five years changed into a splash of colors. Blue, white, yellow and pink balloons adorned every corner of the hall while ribbons hung from the ceiling swaying softly in the breeze blowing through open windows.A tiny stage stood in the front yard with a book shelf beside it. At the back of the stage hung b͏ig banner that said Noah's Book Reading Day.Long tables sat on one side of the room, topped with many types of food. There was a big birthday cake with clouds and sun, bright cupcakes, jars full of sweets, fresh fruit, and the smell of warm bread floating from the kitchen where the staff had been busy since morning. The kids started to come one by one. The girls had plain dresses with small bows in their hair, while the boys showed up in tidy shirts and long pants.A few of them dashed right to me. "Mommy Sienna, see my dress? Am I pretty

Sienna's POVTheir requests made me chuckle. The entire room seemed to fill with warmth and light. We sat together in a circle on the carpet. The younger children eagerly fought for the spots for me while the older ones helped their younger siblings sit neatly.I slowly opened the page of the book. I smiled as I looked at all the little faces."Is everyone ready?" I asked with a smile. "Ready!" they answered in unison.I began reading the story. Now. Then I changed my voice for each character making them burst into laughter."Mommy the wolf sounds funny!" one child exclaimed. "That is not a wolf." I protested playfully. "That is the voice of a dragon."The children laughed harder. Liam, who was standing by the library door, simply shook his head with a smile. An hour passed before I even realized it. When the story ended several children were still hugging their books with smiles.

Five years later."Come on, don't run fast."I laughed as I chased children racing around the playground. Their joyful laughter echoed throughout every corner of the foundation. The swings moved back and forth without stopping. The slide was never empty.Several children played tag across the grass that had once been nothing more than an empty field covered with wild weeds.I paused for a moment to catch my breath. My eyes slowly lifted toward the building standing proudly before me.Five years had passed. It hardly felt long since Sienna and Liam cut the ribbon on the day this foundation officially opened. Now this place was truly alive. A small clinic stood on the side providing daily healthcare for the children and nearby residents.Next to it was a school where cheerful voices of teachers and students filled the classrooms every day. The second floor held the children'

Sienna's POVA few months had. The construction was finally done. I stood in front of the gate holding my breath. The building that I had only dreamed of now stood in front of me. Seeing it with my eyes still felt like a dream. There were trees lined up in the front yard. Swings and slides were already set up in the playground. The sun was shining through the windows and making every room warm. Inside there was a library with lots of books on the shelves. There was a study room. The kitchen was clean and welcoming.A simple clinic was ready. The bedrooms were warm and cozy waiting for the kids who would live here.I had tears in my eyes. I never thought I would be standing here one day.Liam came up behind me. Took my hand. His presence made me feel calm."What are you thinking about?" I. Looked at the building again. Every part of it meant something to

Sienna's POV My days started to shift. If I used to get up each day with a full chest and no thoughts, I now got up with a big list of stuff I wanted to do.After eating breakfast with Liam we spent most days at the building site. The old house that was once covered in tall grass was now filled with sounds of hammers, cutting machines and laughter from workers.I had on a white hard hat that was a bit too large for me. Looking at my face in the car glass made me laugh to myself."What is it?" Liam asked with a grin. His eyes followed me as I looked at my reflection."I look funny."He moved his head softly. His look stayed quiet and true."No.""You look like a director."I chuckled a bit. The noise came out before I could hold i͏t back."A leader who yet can't spot the gap between stone glue and dust."Liam laughed with me. His smile only

Liam's POV I nodded slowly. My eyes stayed on her as she held the folder."You told me you wanted to become a mother to children who need one. So I thought we don't have to wait too long to make that dream come true."Tears slowly filled Sienna's eyes. She turned to the next page with trembling fingers."There are three locations here that I think would be suitable. One is near the city and another is in a coastal area.""The last one is in a region where access to healthcare is still limited. I deliberately looked for a place that truly needs help."She slowly closed the folder. Her tearful eyes met mine."You already did all this?"I smiled. There was only one answer I could give her."Because I believe in your dream.""Now it's my dream too."Sienna wrapped her arms tightly around me. I could feel her body trembling ever so slightly."Thank you."Her voice was barely above a whisper against my shoulder."Thank you for alway

Emily's POV I clenched my hand in my lap, my nails digging into my skin until a faint pain bloomed. At least physical pain was easier to face than this feeling of being sidelined. Liam was always good at it pretending to be calm, mature, as if all of this were merely professional. As if my

Liam's POV I shook my head. “I’m not treating you like a stranger. I’m treating you like someone who used to matter but no longer stands in the same place in my life.”That made her shoulders tense slightly. She let out a short, bitter laugh. “You’ve always been good at wrapping reject

Sienna's POV I stared at Liliana for a few seconds, trying to swallow the warmth that suddenly rose in my throat. Liliana rarely looked this sincere without slipping in sarcasm, so seeing her eyes sparkle like that made my chest tighten but in a good way.Liliana set the cover back down

Liam's POV “Emily, I’m not eating here. I’m going back to my room.”She looked up at me, her expression stiffening. “You’re going to leave me eating alone?”“I need to rest.”And more than that, I needed to leave before this situation became even more tangled.Emily le
