LOGINAlpha Clayton Blackridge (My Little Mate)
Three of the wolves that run with us has been missing for just over a week, the last time they were seen was outside this shitty pack that's run by some spoilt fucking so called Alpha heir. It’s a joke these heirs are getting soft with their entitlement, instead of earning it. So now I am running the line with a couple of warriors and Talia, Talia is the daughter of my late father’s best friend.
Talia has had a crush on me since she was young, and I have made it clear since day one I was waiting for my mate. Then one stupid night after too much to drink we slept together, now she is like a fucking cling on. The one thing I would never take from her is she is a very skilled fighter and tracker, and because of that I allow her to hang around.
We have been running the line for almost an hour when the smell of freshly baked cookies and a hint of cinnamon hits me and my wolf goes crazy. The howling in my head has me slowing, and when it gets too much I shift back just in time to see her burst through the treeline. She is a little thing but her wolf is muscled and toned, even if she is a little skinny for my liking but she is stunning.
I watch as she locks onto my position and drops into a defensive stance as I walk closer then stop as she snapps a warning at me. I watch as my little mate tries to work through some stuff with her wolf. The little light grey almost silver wolf with black paws and little black tips on her ears, she is hands down the most beautiful creature. It's her eyes that are striking; they are a bright shade of green.
I hear someone shift behind me and then Talia places a hand on my arm, my skin crawls at her touch. Before I can shrug her off the little wolf starts growling with her eyes on my arm where her hand rests. “Clay, we need to go,” Talia says from behind me as I shrug her hand firmly off me. “Go, am just behind you” Talia hesitates, making my patience thin as she interrupts my first meeting with my mate “Go, now!” I growl at her, I hear the cracking of bones as she shifts and takes off after the other two.
I study my mate for a few seconds, before I hear a growl from behind me; Fuck! “Well, little mate until next time. I’ll see you very soon” I say lingering on the very, shifting my wolf is furious that we are turning away from our mate and lets out a whine before taking off. I hear a howl in the distance coming from the direction I just left.
I knew the howl wasn’t from her so against my better judgment I slow and turn back, ‘Keep going back to camp, that’s an order’ I shout through the mind-link that connects me to the wolves that follow me. I can feel Talia trying to connect to me but I slam a wall up keeping her out. I slow as I spot three wolves arriving next to my mate. The largest of the wolves shift into none other than Dylan, the pathetic excuse for an Alpha.
“Shift” He demands as he stares at my little wolf. Even though I want to lunge forward and rip his fucking throat out for daring to speak to what is mine in that tone. I know I should leave but the need to see her is overwhelming and I am rooted to the spot. My breath gets stuck in my throat as the most stunning female shifts and stands before me.
Her chestnut coloured hair is down her back in soft waves and her body is lean and toned. Like her wolf she is a little skinny for my liking, but what catches my eyes are the scars that litter her creamy skin. What have you been through? I think as I watch the sheer disrespect on her face as she faces Dylan. “I thought you found someone?” Dylan growls at her, she looks at him with a board look on her face “They got away”
She says not bothering to even look at the ass hole who is trying to assert his authority over her. “You lost them” He repeats then snorts “Losing your touch” He mocks, then looks at the wolves that are with him clearly trying to play the big man. She rolls her eyes at him “Ye maybe, but at least I had a touch to lose unlike you” I have to stop myself from laughing out loud; She is amazing.
He grabs her arm “Do you want to go back to the dungeon?” He growls in her face, to my surprise she bursts out laughing, “Or possibly whipped again?” He growls in her face again, but she just laughs and pulls herself free of his hold “Yeah, a good whipping but best get Ashley to do it, it might have a bit of a bite to it that way” She says then pulls herself up to her full height, looking him in the eye. “So?” She says challengingly, to my utter surprise he steps back and drags his hand down his face. “Why do you have to be like this all the time, Enyo?”
Enyo, female goddess of war; interesting. A bitter laugh comes from her, while the other wolves in the party step back as my little wolf’s aura explodes from her and I watch as even the one who is meant to be Alpha flinches, she turns to face him “Fuck you, Dylan”
And then she shifts, her eyes locked onto me; Shit did she know I was here? Then she turns and takes off, she is fast and suddenly I feel empty.
Alpha Enyo BurnsideI have just lifted the baby from Fran’s back, his little squishy face all pink from crying. His little mouth looking for his next meal, I can’t help laughing as I hand him back.“Sorry little Beta, but aunt Enyo doesn't have anything to offer in that department” I say as Fran and Peony laugh. There is a commission outside. I turn to look at Clay, he sighs and asks. “If I asked you to stay here would you?” I scoff and cross my arms, right then I catch his scent. Dylan, but what the hell is he doing on my land?Clay shakes his head with a smile, he takes my hand and tells the ladies to keep Harriet with them. We get to the front of the hospital where three guards are blocking his way. We stop at the top steps, Dylan stops arguing with the men in his way. His eyes light up the minute they land on me.“Enyo, please, I need to speak to you” I don’t move, don’t speak, just stare blankly at him. Exhaustion seems to hit me as I look at him. “What do you want that couldn’
Alpha Clayton BlackridgeIt was light by the time we got back, Enyo hadn’t said a word but I could feel her anxiety as we ran on our paws. She needed to get home to Harriet, the girl we seem to have adopted without even realising we had. The pack was buzzing with activity and it didn’t take long for Harriet to find us. Her little voice screams our names. She had collided with our legs before we even noticed her. My mate scooped her up, checking her over like a proper mother would.“You came back” Harriet says as she hugs Enyo to her. Enyo laughs, brushing the little girl's hair over her shoulder.“Of course we came back, we told you we would” Harriet turns to look at me, her big eyes sparkling.“Clayton, did you get the bad guys?” The innocence makes us all laugh. “Sure did, poppet” I say as I ruffle her hair. She giggles, swatting my hands away. I turn in time to notice that Ivy is on her own, I search but can’t seem to see her sister. Noticing my searching Harriet leans into me
Alpha Enyo BurnsideThe fury running through me is fueling my moon energy. The minute I killed the guard that had Harriet I knew I was going to kill him. I mocked the old man but the Omega comment is what does it, I smirk.‘Get the two witches, I’ll handle this prick. Keep trying the pack-link’ I tell whoever is listening. He shifts into a huge brown wolf, I smirk and shift. My wolf may be smaller but her strength and power far exceeds that of an Alpha wolf. There is definitely something off about his wolf, the minute I launch at him I am thrown back; a forcefield is protecting him. I look at the witches they are so concentrated on chanting for this piece of shit they don’t notice both wolves making their way to them. They both launch at them, a blood curling scream comes as Clayton wraps his large jaw around the first one. Hadeon’s wolf stumbles as her connection is broken. I launch myself at him this time I can land a swipe of my paw but it hardly touches him. I circle him, keeping
Alpha Clayton BlackridgeThe energy pulsing off my little mate is incredible, every wolf is bowing to her and she hasn’t even noticed. She fights like a goddess, smooth and with the elegance you don’t normally see on the battlefield.I watch from the corner of my eye as Dylan’s wolf never retaliates and the minute other wolves attempt to attack her he attacks them. I want to hate him but right now as I fight back to back with Gavin I am glad he is there for her.The minute Trent returns he seems to pick up on what's going on and jumps to protect his Luna just like a good Beta should. I watch as she drops to her knees the minute the second packlink breaks. I can feel her overwhelming grief that this is her fault. She shifts back and he mocks her, calling her a bleeding heart like her mother and grandmother before her.I watch in awe as she lifts her hands palm up and pulls in the energy from the moon. I smirk to myself, this is something I have seen her do before and what a sight these
Alpha Enyo Burnside ‘Keep calm, this is good, this is what our people need to get into position’ I tell Clay over the mind-link. I can feel his rage at Dylan's wolf circling me like I am his prey. This is what we wanted, I spotted Gavin's brown wolf exactly where he said he would be behind Dylan. The voices that come over to tell us that our teams are in position is like honey to a bee. My mate tilts his huge gun metal grey head back and howls to the moon Goddess telling our team to start. Dylan’s wolf growls, dropping to a fighting stance the minute Clay howls. I don’t give him a chance to attack my mate. I leap at him, biting into his left shoulder ripping the flesh from it and spitting it out. It howls in pain but refuses to attack me. This pisses me off so I launch myself at him again, I land on his back. He starts to flip trying to get me off but I sink my claws in even deeper. I spot Clay in a fight with two of Dylan’s warriors but I am not bothered as they are no match for
Alpha Clayton BlackridgeNews came late last night from Gavin, they are planning to attack tonight. So we have been up since the crack of dawn moving the vulnerable to our underground shelter. Harriet has been clinging to Enyo all morning refusing to go with the sisters to the shelter. Every time the tears fall my mate is torn apart with guilt. I had to step in and explain to the six year old that the only way we could fight and win was if we knew she was safe.So eventually after two hours of crying and pleading we finally got her to the shelter with Fran and the baby. Poor Fran was already stressed about her mate being apart from her and their son without a crying child adding to it but like the real Beta female she did her duty and took charge of the shelter. Enyo has been working non stop for an hour going over different groups of warriors and each one's task. She is a true leader, you can tell she was bought up by warrior parents. She spoke quietly to the more nervous of our wa
Alpha Clayton BlackridgeThe scout has just arrived back from checking what is going on with the war party that is making its way here. He stands with his hands behind his back, chin up, frown on his face.“Speak Rex” I say, he relaxes slightly.“Sir, we witnessed Alpha Dylan and a small party of h
Enyo Burnside (Too late to turn back)The minute I yank my arm free from the prick I shift, that’s when my wolf senses him. I could feel his eyes on me, it both sent a thrill through me and fear. My wolf whimpers as I make her turn away from him, and if I'm honest my heart squeezes tight enough to
Alpha Clayton Blackridge (A Million Questions)Getting back to camp I am a mix of emotions, some I am unfamiliar with. The last thing I need is for Talia and her onslaught of questions that seem to sound more like accusations. I walk past her, ignoring the way she is chattering. I continue heading
It’s said the most dangerous people are the ones who have nothing left to lose, that welcomed death even. Being angry at the whole fucking world for taking everything from you, leaving you alone to watch the world around you as it carry’s on. Watching the people you once thought were the protectors
