LOGINSebastian's POV
I sat in the back of my Aston Martin, scrolling through my tablet for the daily hand exercise game I did when I was stressed out. It was the most peaceful thing right now. The numbers and patterns kept my mind occupied. Kept me from thinking about things I didn't want to think about.
I didn't involve myself in matters involving rivals. Dominic had been my rival since college. After what caused the accident of the Rossis, it separated the business deals between our families. Generational rivals. That's all we were supposed to be.
I didn't have anything to do with his personal life. The only thing that stayed between us was who was the top in the business world. But not until I saw her three years ago.
Sienna Rossi.
She had been at a business meeting, all at the beck and call of Dominic like she was nothing. Like she was invisible. She looked so naive. So pitiful. Just like the little girl I had seen in my mother's photo albums years ago. I remembered my parents discussing her in hushed tones after her parents died. A child left alone in the world. An orphan with no one to care for her.
I never knew she would end up in the hands of that bastard.
I didn't know if it was pity. Or if it was what I saw face to face all those years ago when that truck smashed into her parents' car. The moment that changed everything. I started investigating Dominic after that. Digging into his business dealings. His personal life. Seeing what he did to her on that video sent by my spies among his people got me angry. Seeing her so pale. So broken. Soaking wet and bleeding and humiliated.
Something unlocked in me. Something I couldn't understand. I wanted to bring Dominic Castellano down. Not just for business. Not just for power. For her.
"Sir?"
Miranda's voice cut through my thoughts. I looked up. She was looking at me from the front seat, her expression concerned.
"I have been calling you. You seemed spaced out," she said.
I set aside the tablet and picked up the bottle of water sitting on the seat divider.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Sir, the press conference has sparked a lot of buzz online. TX Textiles is requesting for collaboration," Miranda said, her pen poised over her notepad.
I nodded. "Schedule a time for them to meet up."
"More emails have been sent in. The board members have decided on the next move," she continued, writing notes.
"The movement is what I want. Schedule a meeting with board members and other branches. I want active movement," I said, my mind already shifting back to business.
"Yes sir," Miranda turned.
I picked up my tablet again, tapping on the screen as I remembered what I had told Sienna earlier this morning. The way she had looked at me when I handed her those papers. The way her hands had shaken slightly as she signed her name over and over again.
"What is the next thing on ground?" she had asked, her eyes blazing with fury and determination.
"You just have to prepare yourself," I had told her. "You would move in with me. I will have my lawyer document the agreement and make it public. If we want Dominic's world to burn, we have to make everyone believe we are truly married."
She had accepted it without hesitation.
"Put a call to my lawyer," I said to Miranda. "I need to meet him tomorrow."
"Ok sir, but tomorrow is tied already," she replied.
"Find a time for me," I said.
"Ok sir."
"And again, contact EcoMotors. I need a new car," I added.
"Sir? A new car?" Miranda's voice had a note of confusion.
I looked up and gave her a smile. "No, for my wife."
She squinted her eyes. "When did Mr. Sebastian have a girlfriend?"
"You will soon enough," I said.
I knew she had an idea already. Miranda was smart. She must have guessed seeing Sienna in my office this morning. But she knew when not to talk.
"Unless you know already," I added.
She didn't reply. Just nodded and faced forward , the driver concentrating in driving the car.
My private phone rang.
It was the private investigator I had hired to look into Dominic.
"What is the update?" I asked.
"Sir, there is something you need to know. You said I should find out what made Dominic's family murder the Rossis," the investigator said.
"Of course," I replied.
"Sir, I was shocked when I found out. Mr. Victor was involved also. Your father and Dominic's father were involved."
The world stopped moving.
I froze. The tablet fell from my hands.
What was I hearing?
No. No. No.
This was not true.
"Repeat that," I said quietly.
"Sir, the financial records show that payments were made from Ashford Holdings to shell companies. The timeline matches. And sir..." The investigator paused. "These payments were authorized by your father. Victor Ashford personally signed off on them."
My father. MY FATHER had been involved in the murder of Sienna's parents.
Not just Vittorio Castellano.
My father.
"Continue investigating," I said. "I need everything."
"Yes sir."
I hung up.
The car was silent. I sat there staring at nothing, trying to process what I had just learned.
My father had murdered Sienna's parents.
And I had just brought her into my life. I had just asked her to marry me.
I had lied to her
I pulled out the tablet and opened the secure folder where I kept all my documents. Everything the private investigator had given me over the past three years.
I had been building a case against Dominic's family. But my father had been there too.
My father was just as guilty.
Sienna's POVWe walked into the bustling building. As soon as they sensed his presence, heads were turning. Bowing. Eyes on us. Especially on me. Eyes wondering who was this new lady walking side by side with their boss. They didn't know yet. I was about to become their CEO.I saw the assistant coming toward us in a black corporate suit with two men in tow. She moved with the precision of someone who had been doing this for years. Everything about her screamed efficiency."Good morning, Mr. Sebastian," she greeted with a slight bow."The board is ready?" he asked, his voice suddenly serious. Not the warm, teasing voice I had recognized two minutes ago in the car. I wondered how many sides this man had. Warm in one minute. Cold and serious in a few seconds. Like flipping a switch."Yes, sir. They are waiting in the conference room," she replied. Her eyes flipped to me, and she bowed lightly."Hello, Mrs. Sienna," she greeted with a knowing smile. She already knows? I thought, my pulse
Sienna's POVThe day I was not expecting to arrive so quickly had come. I stood in front of the mirror, dressed in a powerful dress. It was a tailored navy blue suit with a crisp white silk blouse underneath. The jacket hugged my waist perfectly, showing off the curves I had hidden away for so long. The skirt fell just below the knee. Everything about it screamed confidence. Everything about it screamed power. This was a dress for someone becoming a CEO.I moved my hair to the other side, exposing my neck adorned with a necklace Sebastian had bought yesterday. He had called it one of the benefits of this marriage. I did not read any deeper meaning into it. What I had acquired in this agreement were benefits. Nothing more. Nothing less.Dominic and his cohorts had no idea what was about to happen today. I bet the news is going to be a shock to the whole world. The girl he had discarded. The girl he had thrown in a pool. The girl he had used and abused. That girl was about to become the
Sienna's POV"Honey, don't start in her presence," Mrs. Linda said, her voice carrying a warning."What? Sebastian is trying to prevent a simple greeting," his father replied, his tone sharp.Amidst the affection, there was still some hidden grudge within this family. I could feel it. The tension. The unspoken words. The anger simmering just below the surface."Dad?" Sophia yelled, frustration written all over her face.Victor raised his hands as he walked over to his seat beside his wife. I turned at Sebastian. He wasn't saying anything, and I wondered what the silence meant. What was he thinking? What was he protecting?"I'm sorry, sir, for the misunderstanding," I started to say."Can we get into what we came here for? I just came here to make you know my wife and not intimidate her," Sebastian suddenly said. His voice was cold and serious. There was a brief silence. I was getting very uncomfortable with the interaction. The way his father looked at me. The way his mother kept stud
Sebastian's POVI was amused by where that boldness was coming from."And why do you want me to put you in that position?" I teased, leaning back slightly to study her reaction. She was serious. Dead serious."An idea just popped into my head," she started to explain.I chuckled, cutting her words short. She tilted her head, an eyebrow raised at my interruption."I know this request is out of nowhere, and I shouldn't be asking," she continued, her voice uncertain."Deal," I said simply. She froze and leaned back, surprise clearly written all over her face."That was quite fast. I mean, I was expecting you to disagree with me," she said."Do you want me to withdraw my answer back?" I asked, knowing full well what her response would be."No, no," she said quickly. There was a brief silence between us. I could see her mind working, trying to understand my quick acceptance. But she didn't need to understand. Not yet."These are things to do to make this marriage look real. And since you p
Dominic's POVI sat under the large umbrella in the picnic resort I had bought for our honeymoon. Katherine rested her head on my arm as we watched the lapping of the sea. The waves were calm. Everything was perfect. Everything was exactly as planned."Babe, you know sometimes looking at those waves reminded me of my childhood days," she said, her voice soft and dreamy."Really?" I asked, not really listening. My mind was elsewhere. On the empire I was building. She looked up, the hat making her face smaller, more delicate."Yes, you know, being an heiress to my royal family... You understand," she said."Of course I do, my love," I replied, kissing the top of her head. She rested back on my arm, sipping the fruit juice on the fancy table beside us. For a moment, I felt nothing but contempt for her. She was useful. She was beautiful. She was a means to an end. "I heard someone caused some trouble at the reception," she asked suddenly. I raised an eyebrow to her question, not expectin
Sebastian's POV"These are all the documents, sir," the private investigator said, placing the file on my table. I stared at it like something that would pounce on me if I stared at the devastating content inside it for too long.I couldn't bring myself to open it. Not yet. Not when I knew what it contained. Not when I knew what it would mean."I had to carefully access the server," the investigator continued. "Unfortunately, it was so exposed I think the person had forgotten it needed more tight security.""Or maybe they thought no one could think of that side," I completed, still not raising my head from the file."Yes, sir, that is true. The documents in the file are just receipts from Ashford Holdings. I was surprised it did not show who signed it off."I looked up at him then. His expression was careful. Measured. Like he was trying to soften the blow of what he was about to tell me."What do you mean? You said my father authorized the payment," I said, my voice steady even thoug
Sienna's POVWaking up to a new morning meant waking up to a white Bentley parked in front of the apartment I was managing. A man and a lady in crisp black and white uniforms stood in front of my door, both smiling like they had known me their entire lives."Good morning, Mrs. Sienna," the lady sai
Sienna's POVI folded my hands on my hips, wondering at the audacity of this man. The way he sat there like he knew everything about me. Like he had studied my life and found it entertaining."Well I know many things," Sebastian said, standing up from his desk. "Why do you think he never publicized
Sienna's POV"What if I told you that on the night your parents were murdered, I was there," he said, his voice steady and measured like he was discussing the weather. "Would you be my wife for one year and burn Dominic's world to the ground with everyone related to him?”The words didn't make sens
Sienna's POVThe softness of the bed was different. I opened my eyes gently, remembering where I was. My old bed had been ironed. Hard. Cold. Something that matched the life I had been living. Waking up in luxury reminded me of my new reality. A reality I still wasn't quite sure was real.I sat up,
