Samantha's pov.

No way would I let him feel like he has the upper hand in this room

It might have worked for Samuel, but I am not Samuel and things need to fucking change around here.

There's no way I'd let him intimidate me,

“This room.” I gestured around.

“Belongs to the two of us, I have as much right as you do and if you are making rules, so will I.”

His cold hard gaze lingered over me a few seconds.

I felt like I was going to melt under his stare, but I didn't waver.

His hands came up, brushed the bridge of his nose and sniffed.

He didn't move a muscle, just straightened.

Eyes fixed on me.

Then he walked past me out of the room.

I clutched my chest hard as I fell on the bed

For a moment there I didn't think I would survive.

So far, nothing terrible has happened. The wardrobe was divided and there was empty space for me to keep my things.

The one rule is definitely abide to was the no touching stuff.

He doesn't strike me as the type to go through my things as well.

Night came and Adrian was still not back, I guess he wouldn't be sleeping here after all.

Peace of mind for me.

The next morning would be my first day in the school as Samuel.

I already got the routines and timetable on my phone, so I know what each day holds.

When I turned my head, Adrian was not on his bed.

If he can stay away from the room till the end of semester I would be thrilled.

Had my shower and hopped into the hallway, no one was wake yet, just me.

Which gives me ample time to gear up in the boys locker room.

In the locker room, I stood confused.

Lockers lined up each end of the room, but which belongs to Samuel?

I have the keys to his locker, but nothing to indicate which one I'd open.

Time was not on my side, the guys would start trooping in any minute.

I hurriedly inserted the key into the first locker,

Not it.

I did the same for almost seven lockers until one sprung open.

“Finally!” I breathed.

I dressed up quickly, except for the shoes and helmet.

It felt very loose on my body, I know Samuel wasn't much bigger than I am.

The boys were beginning to troop in. I sat on the bench and pretended to be busy on my phone.

“Coach is going to be on our asses today.” One of them said.

He took of his pants and I quickly averted my eyes.

The entire team was here, except for Adrian Volkov.

“Heyy, isn't that Adrian's gear?”

My head snapped when I heard the words.

All eyes where on me.

No, it can't be.

A nervous smile played at my lips

“You must be mistaken, it's my gear, I took it from my locker.”

The guys exchanged funny looks.

“It has Volkov written on the back.”

“What?”

I pulled at the shirt from my shoulder, it was written in bold letters and in red.

Volkov.

A deadly silence fell captured the locker room

Adrian was standing right next to me.

His eyes darker than when he warned me in the room the previous day.

His voice came out chill and threatening.

“What did I tell you about touching my stuff?”

“Huh, hey Adrian. How are you?” I tried to sound all buddy buddy.

He arched an eyebrow, definitely not in the mood for a catch up.

“It was a mistake.” I tried to explain.

“Take it off now!”

“Ooohhhhh.” The rest of the team chorused.

What's the deal? it was just a honest mistake.

“I won't repeat myself, Donovan, take it off.” His voice was a menacing growl now.

My eyes darted left then right.

They all had their phones out, mocking smirks on their faces.

I really wish I could, but that would blow my cover.

Dad would be so furious with me. I couldn't even make it past the first day of training.

Not only that. I'd be captured on screen too.

Adrian's hand reached out and I know he was about to rip the top off my body.

I closed my eyes in terror, anticipating the worse to happen.

“Adrian, the coach asks to see you.”

My eyes flipped open to see the cutest guy ever standing by the doorway.

Now was not the time to drool over a cute face though.

The muscles on Adrian's face clenched as he withdrew his hands.

Not before he jabbed my forehead hard with a finger.

“Take it off and have it cleaned before I return.”

“Arghhhhhhhh, Zeke is such a kill joy.” The other guys groaned.

“The rest of you should be on the rink, coach gave us two minutes.”

They ran out of the locker room like herds being chased.

I snatched the key to return the vest when I saw the initials on it.

“A.V.”

Shit, I must have snatched his locker key by mistake.

“Ahem, practice starts in two minutes.” The cute guy who saved me, coughed.

“Yeah, I just need to change this vest real quick.”

“Yeah, do that, else Adrian will rip you to shreds.”

I have no doubt he'd do so.

“Wait, thank you for helping me back there.”

“I didn't help you, the coach really wanted to see my cousin.”

Cousin?

He must have noticed the drastic change in my face

“I'm Ezekiel Volkov, teammates call me Zeke.”

Two Volkovs playing hockey, this school is sure full of surprises.

I shook his hand briefly.

“I have to go change.” I said slowly.

“Okay, see you at practice Samuel.”

Sharon's POVMy first day of school wasn't so bad. No one really noticed me. They were too busy talking about Samuel.Gosh, I can't get used to calling her by her real name. If only I were here when she left.It was her exit that brought me back after all. The scandal she pulled.Aside from Zeke, I did not have any run-in with anyone.I let out a satisfying sigh. Off to my room now. To have a relieving bath and a nice long sleep. When I got to the room, I kicked off my boots. I love boots on my uniform the most. It gives me this pretty rich appearance. It didn't take a minute before I was completely naked. I grabbed the towel from the hook. I was already heading for the bathroom when I saw a body.It kept rising and falling in a breathing motion.I tilted my head to be sure I was seeing the right image. A leg stuck out from underneath the sheet. From the look of it. It was a feminine leg. I rolled my eyes in frustration. Here I was, thinking of enjoying the freedom of having a room to

Samantha's POV.I cried as I noticed that we were a few minutes away from the school building."Mom, I changed my mind. I don't want to go to school.""Don't give me that, Sammy. I already called Principal Caldwell, and he has said we can come to talk."I puffed out my mouth and blew air against the handful of hair that covered my face. I hate the way my hair grows fast. And I was feeling nauseous all of a sudden."Can I at least wait in the car? I can't resume tomorrow," I begged. The thought of people staring at me as I walk through the halls. I don't think I can bear it.He hasn't even agreed to accept you yet. We just want to give it a shot.Yet, my luggage was in the trunk of the car, with the hope that the school would admit me as a normal student.I have caused a lot of chaos for them. Adrian's POVI've been removed from the position of captain of the school's hockey team. That's my punishment for keeping Sammy's secret.According to Coach Stanley, I have been given the honours to pick a new captain. It won't be put to a vote. Whoever I pick becomes the captain automatically.Without thinking, I already know who I'd pick, to be honest. I was already tired of this hockey thing. And dad made me tired. The fact that he doesn't care about my well-being as long as I get to play and keep the family name on. He doesn't care what happens to me.I was in my room, getting ready to go do what they've been expecting me to do for the past week.Which is to announce the captain. I don't mind picking the new captain. It was just humiliating to do so.After getting kicked out like that.I believe it was part of Coach Stanley's punishment. He was hurt that I couldn't even trust him with Sammy's secret. To be honest, what could I have done? Even if she didn't beg me to keep it a secr

  • Heated Rivalry: Passion On Ice    Chapter 121

Sharon's POVNo one has any idea what I went through after I got suspended from school. Attacking Jenny like that was not planned.I felt humiliated and really angry that Zeke would treat me like that; he knew how much I loved him. If he were seeing someone new. I should have at least gotten a heads-up.To think that I gave up my future in Paris for him! Mom asked over and over again if I was making the right call.I might not have wanted a serious relationship with him in the years past. But he knew how fond of him I was.It devastated me. I tried and tried to make him understand, but he just wouldn't have it.My mom would come into my room every day, a sad look in her eyes, she hated what I was turning into. But the truth is, I wasn't turning into anything. I was just empty on the inside."I think it's time you left the country." She had told me."A change of scenery would do a world of good for you."She kept on standing there waiting for a response. I rarely speak in the house. Ju

Samantha's POVSamuel is finally in France. It was just me and mom in the house alone. She did try her best so that I don't feel the absence of my brother. It was inevitable. I missed him dearly; he's the only one that brought up discussions about Adrian.Talking about Adrian hurt like hell. It felt like a million jabs of needles through my heart and was left there until I bled out.To be honest, it did. But after I retired to my bed, fresh tears would soak my pillow again. He was my first love, and to be hurt like that by someone I thought would look out for me. There are no words to fully describe my emotions. For the most part, Samuel kept in touch and encouraged me to return to school. As excited as I was to legally play Ice hockey, they weren't getting the full picture. No school wants to accept me as a player. They were willing to overlook the stunt I pulled at Northbrook academy, but I won't be allowed to play hockey."Then there's no point in returning to school," I had told t
