LOGINRenata stood by the stove, humming softly as the scent of fried eggs filled the kitchen. The sun was just rising, casting a golden light through the window.
She held her phone between her shoulder and ear, laughing quietly. “I swear, if this breakfast flops, I’m never cooking again,” she said to Nina on the other end of the call. “You? Mess up eggs?” Nina teased. “You’re just nervous ‘cause it’s your first time cooking for Santiago.” Renata chuckled and flipped the egg. “You’re not wrong.” Just then, she heard a soft creak of the door behind her. A broad smile spread across her lips. “Hey, let me call you back,” she said quickly, ending the call. Before she could turn around, a strong arm wrapped around her waist. She froze. Warm breath touched her bronze skin as lips brushed the side of her neck. His cologne was different. “Santiago?” Her eyes widened suspiciously. Her breath caught in her throat. Then she looked down… and saw the hand. It wasn’t Santiago’s. Her heart skipped as she spun around in shock. “You?” “What are you doing here… in my house?” Her eyes widened seeing Domingo standing in front of her. “Your house?” He chuckled dryly. “Santiago’s house is also my house… we are…” “Married?” He scoffed. “You don’t have to remind me about that… but…” he paused to look around as he nodded, satisfied with what he saw. “This is my house. I just gave it to him as a gift.” Domingo interrupted, his eyes darting across the kitchen. “What do you want?” She took a few steps backward. “You know what I want.” He reached to touch her cheek but she slapped his hand before it could make contact with her face. “You should leave if you have nothing to say. Santiago is sleeping.” She said, trying to cover her cleavage when she noticed his eyes on it. “Does it matter?” “You’re old enough to be my father… You should be…” “Forty-eight years. Am I too old?” He stepped forward. Renata swallowed. “I could be your daughter and…” “But you’re not,” he whispered. His right thumb slightly brushed her soft pink lips. “I want you…” He whispered into her ear. “Right now,” his eyes trailed slowly to her chest. He could see her nipple hardened and shooting out of her silk nightgown. “You should stop this madness,” she cried while pushing him out of her way. “You know the deal right? You’re way too smart to forget quickly.” He leaned against the kitchen cabinet. Renata, who already had her back against him, turned slowly. “There was no deal. It was a one-time mistake which I regret every passing second of the day. I have no intentions of continuing that sinful act,” she shook her head slowly as she spoke deeply from her heart. “Sinful act?” Domingo chuckled dryly. “Is that what you call it?” He asked, boring his eyes into hers. “No. That’s what it is,” she gritted her teeth and tightened her fists beside her. He pointed at where she had stood earlier. “You just called me Santiago right there, again. Are you still going to call what we shared that night a sinful act?” “God!” “Fuck! Don’t you get it?” She threw her hands in the air, fueled with frustration and anger. “I am a married woman. I’m happily married, Mr. Domingo Serrano.” She raised her hand where the large piece of diamond ring rested on her slender finger. “Who cares?” He frowned. “What?” She gasped in disbelief. “I don’t care if you were married to some alien. I want you, Renata and I will have you.” He said confidently without stuttering. “Oh… oh my!” Renata staggered backward with her hand searching for a hold while the other hand rested on her chest. Her chest hurt, realizing the gravity of that night’s mistake. “If you comply… no one would have to know,” he walked over to where she leaned against the cabinet. He grabbed her waist, but she pushed his chest hard. “Don’t… don’t you ever touch me with those filthy hands.” She raised her index finger to warn him sternly. “You mean these same hands that explored this gorgeous body?” He licked his lips seductively, his eyes traveling from her eyes to her chest. She didn’t utter a word. She just stared at him in astonishment, She knew she was done for. He leaned closer to peck her on the cheek. “Dad?” Santiago’s voice echoed through the kitchen. Domingo quickly straightened up, his hands slid into his pockets, his eyes were on the floor searching for nothing. “You came already?” Santiago asked as he opened the fridge to get a bottle of water. “Good morning to you too, son.” He said. “Hey baby,” Santiago walked over to where Renata stood, his arms circling her waist, just the same way Domingo did a few minutes ago. It was safe to say it was a father and son fetish. Renata’s heartbeat slammed against her ribs. “I searched for you, you were meant to be next to me, baby.” He kissed her neck. “I wanted to make you breakfast.” She stared blankly at the fry pan on the gas cooker. “You know the chef could do that,” he sniffed her hair and then kissed her neck again. “They are resuming this evening.” She reminded him. “Oh!” He nodded. “Why don’t you go sit at the dining table and I’ll bring your breakfast.” She smiled at him. “About last night, didn’t I handle you properly? Where the hell did you see the strength to come down the stairs?” He teased with a smirk as he kissed her lips. Domingo cleared his throat. Renata rolled her eyes to look at him, She could see how uncomfortable he was. Was he jealous? Jealous of her making love with her husband? Isn’t that crazy? “Baby, go to the dining room,” she said, kissing Santiago’s forehead and slipping out of his embrace. Santigo huffed in defeat, his hand running through his dark wavy hair. He sat at the dining table while Renata served him a plate of eggs with pancakes and a cup of coffee. “You are going to the office?” She stared at the file on the table, a slight frown on her face as her lips curled up in anger. “Yeah.” He said without looking at her. “But… you said…” She sighed deeply. “I know what I said, baby. I’ll be back in a jiffy. I just need to drop this off,” he raised his eyes to smile at her. Renata was about to leave with the tray when Santiago called her back. “Baby…” “My father, he will be staying with us for a while…” “What?” Her jaw dropped at the news. “It’s just for a while. Till the company signs the deal with BlackCore FinTech.” Santiago disclosed. Renata rolled her eyes to where Domingo stood, amused at her shock at the news of his stay and that was when she noticed his luggage by the door of the living room. “This can’t be happening.” She muttered under her breath in exhaustion. Santiago barely touched his breakfast. He stood up with the cup of coffee in his hand. He gulped down the remnants of it and placed the cup on the saucer. “I have to leave now,” he said, kissing Renata passionately on the lips. “Can we go?” He said to his father who still stood there watching them. “You go ahead. I need to use the restroom.” He excused himself. “Okay. I’ll tell the chauffeur to arrange a car.” Santiago said and made his way out of the door. Domingo stood there watching through the window as Santiago got into the back seat of the waiting car. “It’s just the two of us now,” he smiled mischievously at Renata. He took deliberate slow steps forward to where she stood. She leaned against the wall, her lashes flickering nervously as she stared at him. He raised his hand slowly and rested it on the wall behind her for support. He tilted his head, his eyes staring at her lips, she could see the longing in them, he wanted her just like he had always chanted. He leaned closer to kiss her, but she whimpered and turned her face away. “I can’t… I can’t kiss you. Not after watching my son do that a few seconds ago.” He whispered into her ear, his warm breath brushing against her neck. “But…” his other hand rose to her titties. He squeezed them gently, he enjoyed the way Renata moaned… was she enjoying it or trying to suppress it? He didn’t know and didn’t care. “I’ll see you when I get back.” He kissed her cheek and walked out the door. Renata stood there, zoned out. Her mind rummaged through so many thoughts and scenarios. “What am I doing?” She raised her hands to her hair as she dug at it helplessly. She slid down the wall to the floor. She sat there, her head buried in her hands. “This isn’t fair to Santiago. He needs to know.” She quickly got up from the floor, her eyes darting around the living room for her phone. “I must call him and confess.”A cold shiver ran through Renata’s spine. She knew this wasn’t something that seemed to look good.Santiago was alive, contrary to what Domingo believed, now that it was confirmed he was alive… What will happen now?He was asking for her… for what exactly? Was he asking because he cared enough about her or was he asking to make sure she was still alive to suffer for his mother’s crimes?“Was that all he wanted… just me?” Renata’s voice cracked and her body visibly shook.“Yeah,” Domingo sighed with a nod.“No…” she muttered, shaking her head slightly. “No, no, this doesn’t make sense.”Domingo stepped closer. “Renata…”“Why would he ask for me?” she snapped suddenly, looking up at him with watery eyes. “After everything?”He didn’t answer immediately because truthfully… he didn’t know either. And that uncertainty terrified him too.Renata stood abruptly from the chair, grabbing onto the edge of the table beside her when dizziness washed over her.“I need to see him.”Domingo frowned s
“Fuck you,” Renata muttered as she slowly turned to look at him.Domingo halted in his tracks and spun around with brows furrowed. “What did you just say?”Renata chuckled, her fists tightening beside her. “I said fuck you…”“Repeat it one more time and…”“Go to hell!” She yelled.“And what?”“What are you gonna do?” She started walking closer, ready for a face-off with him.“Renata!” He growled, fuming as he gritted his teeth.“What?”“You think it’s by your big chest? Oh please run along to your bitch… you’ll just fuck her again, I heard she rides you till you go crazy.”Domingo staggered, eyes relapsing in defeat. When will it end?She never forgave him for sleeping with Constanza, and she never will forget.“Santiago has been sleeping with Nina for a long time even before he met you. You knew about it but you chose him… he still cheated a day before your wedding and…” his voice trailed.Renata’s eyelashes fluttered. She knew he was telling the truth. She knew where he was drivin
Domingo wrapped his arms around her squeezing her thighs to his chest like he had lost her for a week now. “The baby…” she giggled, recoiling from his grip as she stared at her stomach.Domingo chuckled, excitement in his eyes. “Sorry… I was just scared. I thought I might lose you and I can’t…”“Shhh… baby I’m here now. I’m good, nothing is happening to me.” She cupped his face in her hands. He nodded, leaning in for a kiss, which she also reciprocated without thinking twice.“Come on, love birds. Let’s get you home,” Elsa smiled as she walked past them. They got into the backseat while Elsa got into the driver’s seat and started driving.“So, what’s next?” Renata asked, directing the question to Elsa.Elsa glanced at Domingo through the rearview mirror. “I’ll meet with your doctor and get a report, I’m sure they might come for a re-arrest.”Renata heaved a deep sigh, her hands running through her stomach protectively as she mumbled some prayer.“Someone is behind this,” she tilted h
Renata quietly left with the policemen while Domingo watched helplessly from a distance. She was right all along… she knew something was wrong the very moment he stood outside her door. The engine of the police car ignited, she could feel his eyes on her but she didn’t turn to look at him. She couldn’t.“Fuck!” He picked up the glass of whiskey he was drinking from that early morning before the policemen came and smashed it on the wall.“Arrrggggh!” He pushed down the plates on the dining table till they shattered on the floor. His breath rasped as he stared down at the mess, his breath heaving with anger raging inside him. He staggered backward till he leaned back against the cabinet and slid down slowly till he sat on the floor. He buried his face in his hands for a while then he slowly ran his hands down his face, lost in thought as he thought about the next step to take.“I need to get the lawyer on the phone,” he quickly stood up to head to the living room where he kept his phone
“I’ve been at the Hidalgo estate and I had no idea,” she tore her gaze from the window and spun around to look at the room properly. The room wasn’t one she was familiar with; she had never been in this part of the mansion before, but all that didn’t matter anymore. She was going to find an exit and look for help before Constanza and her men came back for her.“Stay right there. Don’t move an inch, I’m sending the ambulance over,” Domingo said. Renata simply stared at the phone in her trembling hands, not only were her hands trembling, but they were also bloody. She had forgotten for a minute that she was on a call with Domingo. “Okay… I’ll be here… with him,” she tilted her head to look at Santiago who was still lifeless. She ran back to where he lay. She sat on the floor, one hand on her stomach as she winced in pain and the other trying to raise Santiago’s head to her lap.The estate was very quiet. No one walked through the halls of the corridor, she stared at the door of the roo
“Oh my God!”“What have I done?”The pistol slipped through Constanza’s hands as her weak legs gave way and she fell to the floor which was now covered in blood.“What… what did you do?”“What have you done?” Renata let out a shrill cry from where she was on the floor, battling to free herself from the ropes, which were now loose and coming free.Constanza trembled and her lips quivered as she stared at the unmoving body of her son drenched in his blood.“Mo… mother…” Santiago raised his hand weakly, reaching out to his mother.“No… no,” Constanza sniffed back her tears as she shook her head. “This isn’t true.” “This didn't happen,” she tugged at her hair, biting down on her lips till she could taste blood. Renata who had now managed to set herself free from the ropes ran and crawled to where Santiago lay clutching his stomach as the blood continued to flow.“Tiago?” She whispered, her trembling hands reaching for his face.“Tiago, can you hear me?” She asked amidst tears.“Am I… a
“Your speech back there was amazing,” Renata complimented Santiago who had been walking down the hall with her for five minutes without uttering a word.“Hmmm,” Santiago hummed without looking at her, at least to acknowledge her.Why was he stiff all of a sudden? He only started behaving this way a
She watched Domingo walk away and join Santiago who was very much invested in the conversation he was having with the older man.“Nice to meet you again, Dr. Peterson,” Domingo cleared his throat and held out his hand to the man for a handshake.“I just asked about you from, Santiago here,” Mr. Pet
The elevator dinged as Renata and Domingo got into it. She held the brown envelope underneath her arm and her handbag in the other hand.Through the corner of her eyes, she could see Domingo scrolling through his phone and smiling. What was he smiling at?He had asked a question which had taken her
The light from Renata’s phone illuminated the dark room, casting a warm white glow on her face as her eyes darted across her phone screen. She held onto the phone tightly, rage knotting in her stomach, the music playing in the background of the video she watched twisted her inside, her face turnin
