Nova? Wake up, I shook her. Her fox form was beautiful and soft. The tip of her tail reached my face, and she tickled me.

I’m up, Zaria, and angry as you pull me from my favorite dream with James. She said as she shifted to human form.

I need help with the history class, and you know all the good books; all I’m asking is to pick them up for me from the library.

Nope, you didn’t tell me how your date with Valerian went. She was next to me on the bed.

Valerian is powerful and commanding; my body reacts to his, and I feel guilty. My emotions are all over the place.

I picked up Rune and petted him, kissed his head. He seems okay with it, which makes me wonder if it's a competition between them, a bet?

Witches, fairies, and shifters turned against them. Dragons came late, and vampires stayed neutral.

I let out a breath, whispered again, and tried to make out what they were saying. Save us…

Oh, I think you got the wrong girl, I mumbled. Took my books and turned to see a strigoi. The one who gave me the uniform when I first arrived. He bowed to me.

I believe in you; save us, he said as I held my breath. The door opened, and I turned my head to see who it was. When I turned back, he was gone.

Valerian and Noctis walked to me. Valerian kissed my lips softly, and Noctis kissed my neck. I closed my eyes as I couldn’t believe they were doing this. And why do I feel them, and like it?

I pulled away, and Valerian smiled. Not happy that I will have to share you, Zaria. I want you to be mine, he whispered in my ear.

It will be her choice, Noctis said, holding my middle. Stop pressuring her; she needs to find ways to relax.

Okay, stop both of you. I need help with the history, and could you help me with some questions I have? Your king, which I assume is your father, arrived late at the Battle of Terra of Demons.

The messenger was killed; the witches did that. My father was angry about that.

I turned to Noctis. Your father stayed neutral.

No, he did not; he was very sick. His right hand never told him about the scroll; he killed him when he found out. Too late, Alexandra was dead.

Interesting, so did they ever investigate the death of the witch, or just assume a demon killed her?

The demon was there next to the dead witch's body, if I remember right from the history, Valerian said. But yeah, I didn’t believe it either. Because Alexandra and Abrax made strong alliances, they wouldn’t break it over a witch. It was a setup.

Someone betrayed them, I whispered.

No, too obvious; this person is invisible, yet important. Get lots of information while staying in the shadows and being trusted by the king.

I smiled. That will be perfect, I squealed. Then covered my mouth, remembering I was in the library. Valerian grabbed my hand, and Noctis followed us. In the parking lot, he opened the door to his sports car for me.

Valerian, I said as he drove, what do you feel when you’re with me?

As I told you, your scent- everything is pulling me to you. Zaria, you’re perfect.

I agree, Noctis said from the back seat.

You guys are exaggerating, and while I’m flattered, who wouldn’t like to be with…But I think you need to be realists.

He pulled in front of a beautiful set-up cafe, at the bottom of a waterfall. I stood there and enjoyed the mist. Noctis pulled me by the hand, and Valerian pulled a chair for me. The server showed up and bowed to them.

I will have a coffee and this piece of cake. My eyes looked at Valerian. He smiled.

Pick whatever you want, Noctis said, chuckling.

When my piece of cake came, I gasped. It was like a quarter cake. I took a huge piece and shoved it in my mouth. Valerian leaned in and licked the corner of my mouth. Heat formed inside my lower belly. Oh hell no, I thought. Noctis turned my face towards him and licked the other side.

You taste delicious…his eyes turned red-glowing, and Valerian a bright amber.
