"Marry me" he growled, His voice deep, sounding like the voice of three men combined.

At first, the words sounded strange..why would he walk up to a me, asking to marry him when I know nothing about him? maybe I didn't hear right.

" Huh?" That's the only word that could slip out of my mouth.

He stood, my eyes instinctively followed him.

He tucked one hand into his pocket and sent signaled to his suited guards with the other.

After a brief, low-hushed instruction to one of them, he stepped into his car with the grace of a king without glancing or saying a word to me

The men turned to me, I stared, with furrowed brows, shifted back as they walked to me... and the next thing, I was bundled up like a piece of paper.

My heart skipped beats.

" Help" a piercing cry escaped my lips, my legs kicked the air, while struggling to escape from their grip but it was all futile.

No one was there to help me.

They pushed me into one of the cars, I was sandwiched with two men at the both side of the window.

Is this how am going end?

Why would anyone think of kidnaping me?

Panic flared in me.

No, I can't go down without a fight.

I studied both men, they looked dangerous and an idea rush in to my head, I quickly lunged at the man to my right, sinking my teeth into the place nearer to me, his neck.

The guy let out an agonizing scream, but I didn't stop, I bite harder.

The other guy tried pulling me off, I didn't let go.

I bite harder and tasted something like blood but I didn't care..if turning a vampire can free me then so be it!

Then, suddenly, something covered my nostrils, it was an white handkerchief.

The scent wasn't pleasant to my system and the moment I persevere it.. I started losing my strength, my grip on the guys neck loosen, my eyes started closing on it's own.

I pleaded with it to stay open but my plead was never heard and the next seconds darkness took over me.

°°°°°°°°

"Why isn't she waking up?" I heard faint voice's, my eyes still closed, my body weak, my head throbbed as if I’d slept for an eternity.

"The drug is supposed to be worn out by now" I heard another voice..By the sound of it, there were only two of them in the room.

I squinted, slowly scanning my surroundings and I saw a table knife on the stool close to me..I inhaled heavily like someone that's out of breath.

"What's happening to her?" I hear them panic.

"Quick, go get water"one of them panicked and ran out leaving me with just one man, my eyes flew open.

I grabbed the knife before he could react and stab him in his right arm .

The guy let out an high-pitched scream and it turned out that it was that same guy that I bite his neck earlier, but who cares? Not me.

I stylishly pulled out the knife from his arm all thanks to the numerous movie I've watched.

I made to stab him him again but the clearing of throat from behind stopped me.

I turn swiftly and found the same mask guy, staring at me in his exotic chair, his hands resting on the gigantic table In front of him like someone watching a movie.

I blinked, and quickly tighten my grip on the knife, as I stretch it forward to him.

the guy I stab made to attack me but the mask guy signaled him and he left the room with blood oozing from his arm.

I calmed down a little.

"Who...who are you? and what do you want from from me" my voice echo out, he rose up, his eyes resting on mine as he rode down the few stairs, walking down to me, step by step... I swallowed, staring at his massive chest.

But the more I stared, the more it became clear to me who he was.

My breath hitched immediately I recall who he was.

"It's you! Cole Marcus" I gasped, he halted with a raised brow which made him look sexy even with the mask.

"You know me?" He asked, I nodded.

"I've seen heard and a lot about you" I muttered, he said nothing, instead resume walking towards me.

I took a step back, clinging tightly to the knife as he walked more closer.

"Don't come close, I will use this" I threatened, but he kept coming closer.

"I can fight... I ..I do watch..." Before I could finish, his large hand shot out, pinning both of my wrists. The knife clattered to the floor. He spun me around, pressing my back against his rock-hard chest.

A cold shiver raced down my spine. I wanted to struggle, but a strange, heavy stillness took hold of me. I Stood frozen in his arms.

"What have you heard about me" he whispered, his voice low and calm to my ear.

"I..i ...I" I shuttered, he turn me and my eyes met with his blue eyes. And with our ur faces, just an inch apart from each other, I was lost in his eyes.

"Go on, what did you hear.."

" They...say your eyes, blue like the sky, while your wealth bigger than the ocean"

"And?"

" Your chest harder than rock, you're a devil hiding under a mask" I said, he furrowed with a slight nod.

"And?"

I blinked and move my gaze away from him.

"You love bursty women" I said, he chuckled, loosen his grip on me and walk pass me.

I released the breath I never knew I was holding and turned to him.

"But, what do you want from me?" I asked, he turned to me, tucked his hand in his pants.

"Marry me"

My jaw dropped, I blinked severally to be sure I heard right.

"Huh?"

"Be my wife for six months and in exchange I will grant you everything you want, money, shelter, protection...you just name it" he explained, his eyes piercing into mine.

"So, what do you say?

I wander into my thoughts immediately.

how can I marry someone i just met?

But he's promising shelter, money and power.

'No, I can't I can't marry someone i just met today'

'No, I can't. I can't marry someone I just met today.' I wanted to say those words out loud, but it changed the moment they came out. "I agree, but on one condition," I said. His eyes twitched with interest immediately. "What condition?" "No touches. We won't..." I cleared my throat, unable to say the next word. He chuckled dryly and, without saying a word, walked to his desk, brought out a file, and gave it to me. It was a marriage contract. "If I had needed someone I could touch, I would've gone for a more..." he paused, his eyes roving over my body. "Busty type," he finished. My eyes twitched red immediately. "Meaning?" I asked. He leaned in. "I don't do bones," he whispered. My face flushed with embarrassment immediately. "Read the rules and sign below," he explained. I didn't even bother to read further after the first line, which said, "no love and touches attached," before signing my signature. The words he said pondered greatly in my head. My eyes stylishly moved

Brrr, brrr, brrr! The alarm sounded. It was morning already. I stretched out my right hand to hit the the alarm. My eyes that were blurry from sleep.. flew open the moment I recalled what had happened to me. I jumped from the bed. Wait a minute. I can move? But how? my heart pounded. Was it a dream? No, it couldn't be. I was pushed down the stairs. I felt my bones break. I was sure I had died. how am I alive? My heart pounded further. I rushed to the mirror, ran my hands over my head. my breath hitched. There were faint red lines on my neck. bruises that hadn't been there before. The exact spot where Adrian had grabbed me. I snatched up my phone to check the date. It was today, but the timestamp was minutes before the "accident" happened. I rushed out of my room, only to find Annie standing by the stairs, with that same fake smile curling on her lips. My chest tightened. I wasn't crazy; or hallucinating! it was all happening again. If I had known that finding Annie at this time of day, by the stairs, grinning, could cause me my life, I would've pushed her down instead. "Hello, sister," she waved, with a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. I rolled my eyes at her, wanting to walk past, but she grabbed my right arm. "Are you ignoring me?" she stared deep into my eyes, still grinning. I sighed and forcibly broke from her grip. "I'm not in the mood for your drama today," I said simply and tried walking down, but she said something that made me halt. "How does it feel? Having someone else take your position? The love, the care you once enjoyed?" My chest tightened, but I kept my face calm. Then she pulled out a small box and opened it. "Look," she said sweetly. I turned. "See what Adrian gave me? He wants me to wear it to the dinner party tomorrow. Isn't it beautiful?" She flaunted the diamond necklace that Adrian once promised me in my face. My chest tightened further, but I kept my calm. "It's beautif
