Seravyn POV
“Caelrix…” I let out a moan, his name slipping from my lips in a breathless whisper.
I could feel Caelrix inside me.
I loved the way he touched me, the way he kissed me. He made me crave more with every second. I looked up at his face, which seemed a little blurry, but I knew this was real.
He gently tucked my hair behind my ear, his fingers sending a shiver racing down my spine. Then he leaned in and pressed his lips to my skin, leaving a warm trail that made my heart pound.
“This is fucking good, Seravyn…” He was moving so fast he was practically a blur. I moaned louder, my nails digging into his back as our passion built higher.
“Caelrix, please don’t stop… I want it faster…” I begged, my voice thick with need.
“Fuck it, Seravyn,” he whispered hotly against my ear, his breath making me tremble. I pulled him even closer, wrapping my arms around him as tightly as I could.
I clung to him desperately, my fingers refusing to let go. It felt incredible.
“Uh…” I whimpered, my voice shaking as tears welled up in my eyes.
We shared a deep, passionate kiss, eyes closed, as he pushed even deeper inside me.
“Shit…” he gasped. His breathing grew heavier, and I could feel the heat pouring off his body.
His movements turned fast and urgent, blurring with the wild rhythm of my own heartbeat. He bit down on his lower lip.
It was getting better, more intense, more thrilling.
My fingertips brushed his soft, flushed cheeks, and his eyes told a story no words ever could.
“I’m goddamn coming…” he growled, not wasting any time as he picked up the pace.
“Caelrix, I can feel it coming out…” My words tumbled over each other while my eyes spun.
He clenched his teeth, lower lip trapped
between them, and gave one final powerful thrust. With a swift motion, he pulled out, and a wave of release washed over me as something warm spilled across my skin.
I groggily peeled my heavy eyelids open, the fog of sleep still clinging to me. As reality settled in, a sharp pang of disappointment hit me. I had only been dreaming. But that disappointment was quickly drowned out by the loud commotion suddenly erupting outside, shattering the quiet morning.
Caelrix…
He was back. I could feel his presence returning to claim the throne that had once belonged to his late father.
Caelrix wasn’t just anyone in this pack.
He was the Alpha king's only son, the rightful heir to the Moon Stone Pack. He was born into power, raised to lead, and destined to rule. Everyone had always known that one day, he would take his father’s place.
But that future had been interrupted…
Years ago, after the sudden death of his father the Alpha king, the pack had fallen into a fragile state. Alpha Caelrix wasn't strong enough to lead…the elders took control, maintaining order while tensions slowly built beneath the surface…rumors of rebellion within, threats from rival packs, and whispered fears of another attack lingered like a shadow over us.
And then… Caelrix left…
No one ever gave a clear answer why…
Some said he had been sent away to train….to become stronger, more ruthless, more worthy of the title he was meant to inherit. Others believed there was more to it… something the elders refused to speak about. Whatever the truth was, he had been gone for years, leaving the pack without a true Alpha.
Until now…
Now he was back to reclaim what was his…
And everything was about to change…
My emotions were all over the place, but the intense urge to run to him burned through me.
Today was my twenty-fourth birthday, and I was buzzing with anticipation. This was the day I would finally uncover the truth about Caelrix whether he really was my fated mate. Without him, my steamy dream felt completely empty.
I didn’t want to waste another second.
“Damn it. I need to throw some clothes on, fast,” I said, jumping out of bed. My heart was still racing, the remnants of the dream making everything feel hazy between fantasy and reality.
I had just climaxed because of my teenage lover, the boy I had loved, the one I’d been waiting years to see again.
Caelrix…
For as long as I could remember, Caelrix had never just been a childhood friend…We grew up together in the shadows of the pack….me,Seravyn the overlooked omega, and him, the Alpha’s heir.
Everyone thought it was ridiculous… the way he stayed by my side, the way he spoke to me like I mattered.
But he did more than that…
He chose me...
Even when others mocked me, even when the elders warned him, Caelrix never let me feel small. He would sneak away from his training just to find me, just to sit beside me like I was something worth protecting.
“I don’t care what they say,” he had told me once, his voice steady, eyes burning with something I didn’t understand back then.
“When I become Alpha, you’ll be the one standing beside me.”
That promise… it wasn’t childish to me.
It was everything…
*********
I stepped out of my room, carefully dressed and put together. The moment I entered the bustling main hall, the noise and energy hit me like a wave. My heart started hammering in my chest when I caught a glimpse of Caelrix through the crowd.
He looked completely different now unrecognizable in the best way. He had become even more strikingly handsome, towering over everyone, commanding the entire room without even trying.
“Mate!” my wolf whispered faintly inside me.
I could feel it running through my veins. His scent wrapped around me, intoxicating and powerful, pulling me toward him like we were always meant to be together.
“I knew I was right. We really are fated mates, connected by something unbreakable.” I hurried toward him, whispering the words to myself. Every eye in the hall turned to watch me.
“Mate!” I shouted, letting the word burst out with all the force I had.
I needed him to hear me. I needed him to understand.
I rushed forward and threw my arms around him, tears of pure joy streaming down my face only to be met with a hard kick from the beta. I stumbled and crashed to the ground in an embarrassing heap. All eyes were suddenly on me, filled with pity and secondhand shame.
“Caelrix…” I tried to call out to him.
I desperately wanted him to look at me, but his cold gaze stayed fixed on the crowd in front of him.
The embarrassment burned through me.
“Wait, so she’s his mate? What a tragic fate for the Alpha to be stuck with an Omega.” I caught the hushed whispers floating through the air.
Caelrix just stood there, not moving an inch to help me. He didn’t seem to care at all.
With a defiant glare, he spoke loudly, “You’re all wrong.”
I looked up at him, eyes full of longing, hoping he would pull me into his arms and shield me from all the judging stares.
“She’s nothing more than an Omega, a weak wolf, a fragile girl with no power, and she will never, ever be worthy of being my Luna,” he declared, his voice ice-cold. His eyes finally slid over to me, as if a spotlight had just pinned me in place.
There was nothing but coldness in them.
I felt a sharp stab of pain slice straight through my heart.
“I, Caelrix Zander Hendrix, the fierce and commanding Alpha of the Moon Stone Pack, forcefully cast you aside, Seravyn Toussaint, as my mate,” he announced in a voice that left no room for argument.
Seravyn's POV"I love him, Lirvae," I confessed, my voice dropping into a gentle, emotional whisper as the tears threatened to return to my eyes. I looked across at her, my hands shaking slightly around the mug. "I really do. And it terrifies me cause I didn't think I could ever feel this way about anyone again, not after—”I broke it and took a deep breath.“Not after everything Caelrix put me through... Not after the way he crushed my spirit and made me feel like I was just an object to be owned,” I added. “I perfectly understand you, Seravyn,” Lirvae chimed in.“Zoriven makes me feel safe. He treats me like I have value, like my voice actually matters. It’s like he took all the broken, shattered pieces of my life and helped me put them back together without asking for anything in return,” I whispered.Lirvae’s expression softened completely, the teasing light in her eyes giving way to a deep warmth I had never felt before. She leaned forward, placing her mug on the side table, an
Thessaly’s POVThe heavy oak doors of Caelrix’s chambers slammed shut behind me, the sound echoing down the stone corridor like a gunshot. I practically marched down the hallway, my heels clicking sharply against the floor even to my own ears as my fists clenched so tight my knuckles were completely white.I had never felt this angry. How could he be so incredibly useless? He had two hundred fresh, heavy raiders at his disposal, the baddest, most ruthless group this Pack had seen since I actually took notice of him, and he just rolled over cause Zoriven waved a few northern banners in his face? It's so fucking embarrassing. Caelrix talks a massive game about being this unhinged, unstoppable force of nature, but the second things get a little complicated, he folds up like a cheap lawn chair. He's so pathetic. But beneath the rage, there was a sharper, uglier pain clawing at my chest. It was a feeling I wouldn't dare mention in public. Caelrix hadn't just failed to crush the Sun F
Seravyn's POV It started as a low, deep rumble from the space around us where the exhausted, blood-stained Pack soldiers were standing guard. I just about looked up as Exovyn stepped forward, his shoulder now wrapped in a bloody bandage, but he lifted his sword and struck it against his iron shield.Repeated it and yelled, "Stay!” He hit his sword against his shield again, raising it to the air before yelling, “Stay!”“What nonsense is this?” I heard elder Eldrin say, but his voice quickly got muffled out as another warrior joined in, slamming his axe handle against the stone wall. "Stay!” He yelled too.Within seconds, the rhythm caught on like wildfire. The Pack soldiers, the healers, the servants who had crawled out of the remains of the buildings all joined the chant. The entire courtyard was suddenly vibrating with a massive, single heartbeat of iron and voices."Stay!”“Stay!”“Stay!"The word roared through the valley, completely drowning out the angry muttering of the eld
Seravyn’s POVThe world stood completely still around me, but inside my head, everything was crashing down.Zoriven was on his knees in the mud. The Alpha of the Sun Flower Pack, a man who commanded an entire army with a single tilt of his chin, was kneeling at my feet like a common beggar. His large hands were wrapped around the hem of my dirty, blood stained dress, completely unbothered by the wet earth soaking through his trousers. His words felt less like a question and more like a hit to my chest. My breath hung in my throat, coming out in short, ragged gasps as my mind scrambled to make sense of the sheer weight of what he had just dropped on me. It was way too heavy, way too deep, and unsettling everything in me. Just an hour ago, I was ready to throw hands with him for lying to my face on how we met. I was convinced he was just another high-ranking wolf using me as a chess piece in some grand political game. But now? He's offering me a crown while his whole Pack is literal
Seravyn's POV And for the next two hours, the compound was a blur of painfully slow recovery. The smoke slowly thinned, leaving the black, empty remains of the cottages standing against the gloomy morning sky. Warriors moved through the mud, picking up discarded weapons, while the Pack healers cared for the wounded towards the main hall. The effects of the adrenaline were fading fast, leaving a cold, hollow, tired feeling in my bones.I was standing near the shattered fountain, my hands covered in dried mud and blood, my body aching with a deep, painful fatigue. Zoriven stood roughly twenty feet away, refusing to let the healers touch his split cheek until the final casualty logs were delivered. Kaelen was beside him, leaning heavily against a stone pillar, his nose broken but his expression stiff. Then, the heavy oak doors of the main hall opened with a slow, ominous groan, pulling me up to my feet at once.A group of six elderly men and women stepped out into the open. They wor
Seravyn’s POVThe tip of Caelrix’s bloody sword remained leveled at my chest, not flinching an inch with his eyes aimed directly at me.Barely ten paces away, he stood like a monument of rage, the rising smoke from the burning cottages wrapping around his iron hard frame like a dark shield. His golden eyes were wide, glittering and matched with a blood soaked crazy smile that made my skin crawl. Behind him, the wall of about two hundred fresh Moon Stone attackers stood shoulder-to-shoulder, their heavy shields locked together, entirely sealing off the courtyard's exit. There was no way out now, no path through the trees. The trap hadn't just closed in on us, it had buried us in."Step away from her, Duskrael," Caelrix boomed through the space, his voice cutting through the heavy silence of the ruined courtyard with a bone chilling confidence. He shifted his grip on the base of his sword, his muscles tensing beneath his armor till it pulsed up and down."It's over, Zoriven. Look ar
Seravyn’s POVThe biscuit in my hand suddenly felt like dry ash.The warmth that had filled my chest only seconds ago melted away at once, replaced by a cold, bone chilling dread that coiled tightly in the pit of my tummy. The Pack Elders? Gathering together to send me away?I very well know what

Caelrix’s POVThe mirror doesn’t lie, but I hated looking at it anyway. The purple bruise stretching across my jawline had begun to yellow at the edges, an ugly reminder of Valdremis’s fingers digging into my throat. I needed to get my head together after the torturing experience with Thessaly. On
