Elliot POV

I stood in front of the mirror, and I barely recognized the man looking back at me.

I smoothed out the silk lapels of my jacket, feeling the stitching down my chest. The fabric fit snugly across my shoulders, covering up the silver line on my abdomen. There was no padding or hidden patches against my ribs. It was me, my own skin, my own smell, and the morning light.

I adjusted my cuffs, turning the links into place.

The wooden floor creaked behind me. I turned around to see my father

Elliot POVI ignored the quiet buzzing of Aris's phone. My hand stayed locked in Sebastian's grip, my thumb pressing against his knuckles."Let the court wait," I muttered, my voice tight. "They had six years. They can give us five minutes."Sebastian looked down at me, his hazel eyes golden under the coastal sun. The tension in his jaw melted, replaced by a fierce warmth. He turned toward the officiant. Gave a single nod.The officiant cleared his throat, stepping closer to the edge of the altar. "We will now proceed with the exchange of vows."I turned my body fully toward my husband, taking both of his hands in mine. The sea breeze whipped the white linen drapes behind us, sending a spray of sea salt over the platform."Sebastian," I said, my voice steady as it carried across the lawn. "For six years I lived in the dark. I wore armor on the ice. Off the ice I was running. I thought strength meant carrying every burden until I broke."I looked into his eyes, feeling the warm, steady

Sebastian POVMy hand tightened on Elliot's fingers. In the tree line thirty yards away, a branch snapped. A glint of dark glass reflected the sun. My jaw set hard, my teeth grinding together as my pulse surged into my throat. Pine and heavy cedarwood rolled off my skin, sharp as a drawn blade.I shifted my stance half an inch to place my body between Elliot and the treeline."Sebastian," Elliot muttered, his eyes cutting to mine. "What is it?"Before I could answer, two shadows moved through the brush behind the pine trunks. My head security guard, Aris, appeared from the side path. He wore a fitted suit with an earpiece tucked into his collar. He didn't draw a weapon. He didn't make a scene.Aris stepped behind the figure in the dark jacket. With a swift, practiced motion, he clamped one thick hand over the man's shoulder and pulled him backward into the shade. Another guard stepped in from the left, seizing a long camera lens and a black drone controller from the intruder's hands.

I turned around to see my father walking into the dressing suite. He was wearing a grey tuxedo, his hands clasped together in front of him. He stopped a feet away, his jaw tight, his eyes fixed on my face. Tears were welling up in the corners of his eyes, shining under the light of the chandelier. He kept his head held high."Look at you," he said, his voice quiet and full of emotion."Dad," I said, taking a step forward. He held up his hand, taking a breath to calm himself down. "For six years, Elliot, I watched you hide. I w

Sebastian POVThe morning sun rose clean over the Atlantic, casting a sheet of light across the blue water. Not a single cloud marked the sky above the cliffs.I stood on the master balcony, dressed in a white cotton shirt and trousers. The breeze off the water was cool and sharp, carrying the scent of sea salt and pine from the estate grounds. On my desk inside the bedroom, my three tactical tablets sat completely dark. For the time in eight years, there were no legal briefs to review, no leak warnings from the PR team, and no threat reports from federal investigators. Devereux was locked away in a cell. The league charter was rewritten. The fight was over.I rested my hands on the stone railing, watching the gentle waves break against the rocks at the base of the cliff.Behind me, the white linen curtains fluttered in the breeze. The silence of the morning felt absolute, heavy with a peace I had never known in my adult life.I took a breath, letting the fresh air fill my lungs. Toda

Elliot POVThe dining room of roasted herbs, dark wine, and ocean salt. The long mahogany table sat under three glass chandeliers, set with silver cutlery and crystal glasses. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows the Pacific sunset painted the room in shades of orange and deep red.I smoothed the front of my silk shirt, taking my seat near the center of the table.Beside me, my mother adjusted her gold necklace, her fingers trembling slightly. My father sat next to her, his posture straight, his eyes scanning the arrangement. Across the table Sebastian’s parents sat together. His father wore a tailored suit while his mother rested her manicured hands on the edge of the wood.Years of rivalries, court battles, and social pressure sat in the room with us.Sebastian took his place at the head of the table. He wore a dark shirt with the top button open. He reached under the table, his broad hand resting flat on my thigh. His palm was warm, grounded and firm."Thank you all for coming, " S

Sebastian POVThe morning sun was shining on the Pacific Ocean. It made a golden glow on the glass wall of my study. Down on the lawn of our estate, I saw two dark cedar arbors. They were ready to be put up.I put my hands flat on my desk. I looked at the floor plans in front of me. It had been six weeks since the horn blew in Toronto. The silver confetti was all gone. Now our home was quiet and peaceful. We knew that our victory was just the beginning. The league had tried to push Elliot into the shadows for years. This second wedding was not a party. It was a statement. My personal assistant, Marcus, was standing across from my desk. He was holding a tablet."The security team finished putting up the fence around our property," Marcus said. "We have thirty police officers watching the road. No paparazzi drones can fly over the cliff.""Good," I said. I moved a stack of invitations to the side. "What about the guest list?""The King's board said they are coming," Marcus replied. "The
