Noah's POV

The second Mrs Reid dismissed the class, Kael was out of his seat and an inner voice whispered that he was escaping.

Like the thought of partnering with me was some kind of contagious disease.

To bad I very well felt the same way.

“Hey!" I rose up and went after him but he ignored me.

"Kael!” the arrogant idiot kept moving, his one stride was equivalent to two of mine, making it harder to catch up.

“Kael Draven!"

He stopped abruptly, making me hit the brakes with my heel to avo

Noah's POVIt's officially been almost twenty four hours since I hadn't thought about my dad and my sister. Oh shit, I just did. By the time I finally left the library, my brain felt like it had been chewed up and spit back out.Hours.I'd spent hours researching wolf instincts, sensory development, and ancient wolf records.Meanwhile, Kael contributed approximately three sentences if I was counting anything he said meaningful. One of them had a yawn which I was still annoyed about. I still couldn't ignore the way he held me and the sparks that flew… I shouldn't really study without having a proper meaning. The evening air was cooler now as I made my way back toward the dorms and just when I had my mind drifting back to what happened at the cafeteria my phone vibrated by the side pocket of my bag. I brought it out and a small smile appeared despite myself. Mom. Like I knew she was going to call anytime soon. “Hey Mom,”" There's my girl.” Her voice immediately softened somet

"Kael!” the arrogant idiot kept moving, his one stride was equivalent to two of mine, making it harder to catch up. “Kael Draven!" He stopped abruptly, making me hit the brakes with my heel to avoid crashing into him as he turned slowly. His dark messy hair fell towards his face and I noticed the one lensed framed glasses handing loosely on the bridge of his nose, making his green eyes more evident. He somehow managed to look annoyed by my existence without saying a single word. It was honestly impressive. I crossed my arms and his brow lifted. “look, I'll forgive you.” "...""..."His face remained completely blank."I'll forgive you," I repeated."For what?" He asked. My eye twit

  • Mated To The King Of Evergreen    Chapter Five: Partners

Noah's POVOn my first day of school, I planned to make an impression but it seemed like after last night and what happened with ivy and that asshole Kael, everyone had their own impression. I walked down the hallways of the prestigious school and past the lockers that had your names inscribed onto it and painted with the rank you fell into. For the newbie omegas, our locker was bright blue, the stronger Omega's with enough practice times had darker shade of blue, the gammas had navy blue, the Alpha's owned matcha green and top Alpha's who were god's themselves, had emerald green lockers. Same went for witches and other creatures but it was an insane way to impose hierarchy.‘That's her, isn't it?’‘i thought she was all that when Alpha Kael escorted her to the dorm’‘I heard Ivy pushed her.’‘No, Kael did.’Giggles and whispers followed me down the hallways but after I placed my books in my locker, I kept walking with my shoulders straight. If there was one thing losing my father

  • Mated To The King Of Evergreen    Chapter Four: Something Wrong

Kael's POV The second my hand touched hers, everything went wrong. Or right. I still couldn't decide what was what. it was all fun when I was teasing her and testing her very short patience but now it sure as hell wasn't funny. One moment I was heading towards the open lounge, past the pool where ivy and her pack of vultures cornered the new girl. I was satisfied that she finally got to understand how hierarchy worked around here. And the next? She fell towards me and my wolf lost his damn mind. ‘Mate.’ The word slammed through my head so hard that I nearly stumbled. My fingers had wrapped around Noah's waist before I even realized I'd moved. She crashed against my chest, her body was soft and warm and it suddenly made every sound around me disappear. Which has never happened before, ever. All I could hear was the rhythm of my own heart beat and hers. Like there was a string pulling us, connecting us. Which was the most bullshit scene to have happened because th

  • Mated To The King Of Evergreen    Chapter Three: King of campus

Noah's POV I imagined loud music, maybe some dancing, and a few drinks passing around. Something normal. But now I looked around and realized this was something else entirely. The moment I stepped into the courtyard behind the dorms, music thundered through massive speakers and I could feel the bass vibrating through the ground and beneath my shoes. Coloured lights flashed across the swimming pool in the center of the courtyard. Students filled every corner of the space. Some danced on tables. Others lounged on the edges of the pool, laughing loudly, drinks sloshing from their cups. The air smelled like alcohol, smoke and something else that made me extra aware.I scanned the crowd for my roommates who swore they were going to get drinks and be back in a second and unfortunately my eyes met his. Kael Draven. Like the universe had a sick sense of humor. He was across the courtyard, leaning back like he owned the place, with one hand in his pocket and the other holding a drin

  • Mated To The King Of Evergreen    Chapter Two: Evergreen Academy

Noah's POV The campus gates were taller than what I had expected.Black iron, a crest carved at the center. Two wolves circling a crescent moon. Sleek. My mother squeezed my hand before the car fully stopped. “Are you sure you don't want me to stay a little longer?" She asked gently, her hands on the wheel with tears already welling up in her eyes. “I'll be fine," I said curtly. My mother had always been overly protective and sensitive all at once. It became worse after her husband and Hailey died She hesitated and then added quietly, “Have you spoken to Jason?” For all my mum knew, Jason and I had a big fight that I made clear could not be resolved. Which wasn't entirely a lie. It really could not be resolved. Jason killed a part of me I didn't know could be killed that day. After that day, I went ahead to block him from all my socials and went on with the registration without him.Though he called like the hypocrite I presume he was, I blocked his number and the four othe
