Chapter 1

Oliver brought me back to his villa.

"This is where you've been living."

I looked around.

It didn’t look like a place a couple had ever shared. In fact, not a single thing in the entire house belonged to me.

Still, I pretended not to notice and simply nodded.

"It's lovely here."

I took a nap in his room. When I woke up thirsty, I pushed open the door to get some water and heard a phone on speaker downstairs in the living room.

"Oliver, do me a favor. Pretend to be Isabella's boyfriend for a while."

Oliver stayed silent for a moment.

"Aren't you worried she'll regain her memory?"

Julian let out a low chuckle on the other end.

"So what if she does? She loves me so much she'd never bear to leave me. I'll sweet talk her and it'll be fine."

"I've been with her for so many years, and honestly, I'm getting a little tired of it. This is the perfect chance for me to have some fun while she doesn't remember anything."

My bare feet pressed against the cold marble floor, and a chill spread up through my body.

Oliver's voice was cold.

"Fun? You mean mess around with Violet? Sounds like you two are about to be official."

Julian laughed softly.

"Don't make it sound so ugly, Oliver. Isabella is still the one I love most. That other she-wolf is just something new and exciting. Once I've had my fill, I'll go back to her."

"For now, Isabella will stay with you. Just don't touch her. But you're the one I trust most. Everyone among our kind knows you've never liked her anyway."

I quietly took two steps back, then deliberately bumped the door so it made a sound before walking downstairs.

As soon as he heard me, Oliver hung up the phone and came straight over.

"Your body hasn't fully recovered yet. Why are you walking around barefoot?"

Before I could answer, he scooped me up in his arms. The fresh scent of cedarwood instantly surrounded me.

He set me down on the sofa, then knelt on one knee and gently slipped a pair of fluffy slippers onto my feet.

"I'm thirsty. Where do you keep the water?"

"Wait here."

He went to the kitchen and poured me a glass of water, then sat beside me.

"Anywhere else feeling uncomfortable?" he asked, watching me.

I shook my head after taking a sip.

He reached up and tenderly brushed the stray strands of hair from my forehead, then leaned in and kissed me there.

My eyelashes fluttered.

I had clearly heard Julian tell him not to touch me.

Everyone of our kind, including me, had always thought Julian, the Alpha of the strongest wolf pack, despised me.

Yet here he was.

When his lips slowly moved toward the corner of my mouth, I turned my head away.

A flicker of disappointment crossed Oliver's eyes, almost too quick to catch. He gently cupped my cheek.

"We'll take it slow," he murmured. "Let me win you over again, little by little."

It seemed I wasn't the only one deceiving Julian.

The next day, Oliver took me to the party Julian was hosting.

As soon as the villa doors opened, we stepped into a grand hall buzzing with young elites from all the major wolf packs. The moment I appeared, every head turned in perfect sync toward Julian.

A glamorous blonde she-wolf was clinging sweetly to his arm. She flashed me a bright smile.

"Isabella, do you remember me? I'm Violet, your old college roommate. We used to be best friends."

Oliver guided me to a seat. I offered a polite smile.

"I'm sorry, I don't remember."

"No worries at all," Violet replied, her voice warm and gentle. "We can just get to know each other again."

She leaned even closer into Julian's embrace, openly staking her claim with a look of triumph.

Julian didn't push her away. Instead, he let her nestle against him, clearly savoring the twisted thrill of being intimate with another she-wolf right in front of me.

The other young wolves exchanged knowing looks, their eyes filled with amused mischief.

"Yeah. It's perfect. Both of your best friends' boyfriends are in the same circle."

"Exactly. We can all hang out together whether you remember or not."

Everyone was enjoying watching me, memory gone, being cheated on right to my face, treating the whole deception like a fun game.

The party games continued.

During one round, Julian and Violet shared a single Pocky stick, their faces inching closer and closer.

"Kiss! Kiss!" The crowd started chanting.

Under the cheers, Julian lowered his head and kissed Violet.

Violet blushed and melted into his arms, but not before shooting me a smug glance. Julian casually wrapped an arm around her waist.

Later, I lost a round and had to accept the penalty.

Kiss someone of my choice for thirty seconds.

All eyes turned to me. The wolves were clearly curious. Would my wolf still lead me straight to Julian, my "real" boyfriend?

Julian looked tense and quickly glanced away. He didn't want me showing any instinctive pull toward him so soon.

Beside me, Oliver's body went rigid.

I smiled softly. "Of course I'll kiss my boyfriend."

I turned to Oliver. "Ready?"

Behind us came Julian's heart-wrenching cry."Isabella!"In that moment, he finally understood that he had truly lost me forever. There would never be another chance.Back at the villa, Oliver immediately checked me for any injuries.I let him. Only after confirming I was completely unharmed did he finally relax, pulling me close and pressing a kiss to my lips."Isabella. I love you.""No matter what kind of Isabella you are, I love you.""I won't ask you to give me all your feelings right away.""Even if you can never love me the way you once loved Julian, I will still be content.""I will be loyal and clean. I will give you everything I have.""Will you become my Luna?"He dropped to one knee and took out a ring. An ancient moonstone had been carved into the shape of a full moon, glowing with soft light.Inside the band were the words: Forever My Mate.I stared at him."That day in the cherry orchard...you heard my conversation with Violet?"He nodded.I smiled. Julian's body swayed violently. The last shred of hope shattered."Isabella..."Beside me, Oliver simply lowered his eyes, as if he had expected this all along.Violet watched Julian's expression and laughed until tears streamed down her face.I looked at Julian again."Actually, if you had waited just one more second that day, I would have laughed and told you I was only joking with you.""But you couldn't even wait one second. You were so eager to deny our relationship and push Oliver toward me yourself."Julian stumbled backward, shaking his head frantically."No...Isabella...it's not like that...""I still gave you chances afterward. If you had realized your mistake in time, I would have let it go.""But what did you do? You made another male wolf my boyfriend, then kissed Violet right in front of me and lit up the entire night sky with fireworks for her, just as you once did for me."With every word I had kept buried, my heart finally settled into peace."So, Julian...""I finally

"Ah!"I startled and scrambled backward. But Violet seemed to have lost all reason, swinging the knife at me again and again."Violet! Have you lost your mind?""Is throwing away the rest of your life for a male wolf really worth it?"I raised my arm to block, only to find that the blade retracted the moment it touched my skin.It was a retractable prop knife. In that same instant, two panicked voices rang out at once."Isabella!""Isabella!"Oliver and Julian rushed over to me.Oliver was faster. He pulled me into his arms and shielded me with his own body.Julian kicked Violet hard, sending her sprawling."Ah!"She crashed to the ground, the knife flying far away.Once Julian confirmed I was unharmed, a terrifying rage surged through him. He lifted his foot, ready to kick her again."Julian, stop! It was a prop knife, it didn't hurt me!" I shouted quickly.Julian froze mid-motion.Oliver held me tightly, checking every inch of me for injuries. Only when he was certain I was completel

"Oliver, you bastard!"Julian clenched his fists and strode forward, his rage barely under control.Oliver shielded me behind him, his voice full of warning."Julian, do you think losing control will get you what you want?""The only reason you can still appear in front of Isabella is because she still doesn't know what kind of wolf you really are.""If you keep harassing her, she'll only grow more afraid of you. And I will make sure you never get another chance to approach her.""I don't mind ending our friendship, or cutting ties with the entire circle, if it comes to that."Julian was stunned. He understood. If he revealed the truth today, I would likely despise him completely. If he pushed any further and the situation became unmanageable, Oliver would truly destroy every relationship involved. At that point, even seeing me once would become impossible.Julian's eyes turned bloodshot as he watched Oliver take my hand and lead me into the car.I turned to look at the male wolf drivi

Lately, Julian spent most of his time at the hospital. Violet posted many photos showing him bringing her flowers, food, and carefully looking after her, each one radiating happiness.I had once loved Julian, so seeing the male wolf who pushed me into Oliver's arms still affected my mood from time to time.Still, I was glad he had something new to occupy him. It meant I didn't have to see him.My own life had been going well. My interior design work had just won an international award. On the day of the ceremony, I stood at the center of the stage and accepted my trophy under the bright lights and thunderous applause. When I first submitted the piece, I had told Julian, "If I ever win an award, I want to share the moment with you first."He had answered casually, "One of my friends has a birthday that day. We'll talk about it then."Yet today, he actually came.Trophy in hand, I walked down from the stage and ran toward him.Julian's eyes lit up. He hurried forward excitedly. But I pas

Violet and I walked out of the cherry orchard carrying baskets full of cherries.Oliver strode toward me and naturally took the basket from my hands."What took you so long? I couldn't help coming to look for you."As he spoke, he casually slipped an arm around my shoulders and led me back toward the villa.I could feel Violet's gaze fixed on us the entire time, more specifically, on Oliver. She was probably wondering why that famously cold and distant Alpha was being so gentle with me.Julian hurried over as well.He didn't even glance at Violet. His dark eyes were locked solely on Oliver, full of suppressed anger.I looked at him with confusion, as if I had no idea what was going on.Suddenly, Julian stepped in front of me."Isabella, there's a riding club nearby. You used to say you wanted to go horseback riding. Let me take you later."I turned to Oliver."Did I really say that before? Then take me."Oliver looked down at me, the corner of his mouth lifting slightly."Alright. But
