Mag-log inConnie’s POV “The current problem is with Kyrian. He thinks I am involved with Daniel,” I told Hori. “But you are involved with Daniel,” she muttered.“I know I am,” I replied. “However, Kyrian thinks I have a special bond with him. To put it simply, he thinks I am cheating or at least flirting with Daniel. Yesterday, I even slapped him.”“What!” Hori exclaimed. “You are giving me too many surprises today. It’s getting too much.” I sighed, “I know. I was shocked when I did it as well. But to be honest, he was speaking like I was whoring around when that wasn’t the case. I was angry and I reacted.” “It’s violence, Connie. It can never be justified,” she told me calmly. “So you guys haven’t talked since then?”“Yes,” I nodded firmly. “He left the room angrily and hasn’t returned since. We haven’t exchanged a word since then. I think he is really pissed off.” “Of course, he is,” she responded. I held both her hands, “Won’t you tell me what to do? I am afraid we will end up breaking
Kyrian’s POV I sat alone on the balcony, having more thoughts that I could handle at the time. The one which haunted me the most was what happened in the dining hall. Connie must have confirmed that I was all alone but she made no effort in joining me. Even when Sarah came along, she didn’t even look worried a single bit. I guess that was how much I mattered to her. “You guys fought, didn’t you?” I heard Sarah’s voice right behind me. I didn’t make an effort to look back as I knew giving her attention wouldn’t have any good results in the end. She sat right beside me now, blushing. She tried to look into my eyes but I simply averted her gaze.“What did you guys fight about? I am really curious,” Sarah asked excitedly. I ignored her and started picking the non-existent dirt in my fingernails. One would expect that she would back off once she realized she was being ignored but Sarah was of a different breed. “Should I guess? That would make it more fun,” she continued. “Err, what
Connie’s POVI had expected Hori to be surprised and she didn’t disappoint me. There was sheer shock on her face. She couldn’t speak at first and later, she started to walk back and forth.“You know what? I’m getting coffee. I can’t handle this without caffeine,” Hori told me as she made towards the door. “Caffeine, honestly? I thought you would need alcohol on a day like today,” I muttered. She shrugged, “Trust me, I would be bringing back a bottle of whisky if I had my way. Just give me five minutes, I will be back.” Hori left the room and came back in the next seven minutes. With her were two cups of coffee and she gave me one and sat beside me. I took a sip of the coffee and if I were to rate it, it wasn’t more than a five out of ten. Hori wasn’t well known for her great coffee making skills and I knew it. Who knows? Maybe I was enjoying her company so much that I rated a two over ten coffee for five out of ten. She dropped her cup on the table and looked at me gently. I t
Connie’s POV I kept my eye on them without blinking. Sarah seemed to be flirting as usual while Kyrian seemed more focused on the food in front of him than Sarah’s scheme. That was something to be happy about at the very least. “Connie,” Hori called lightly. “Everyone can see you staring at them.” “I don’t care,” I retorted. “I think staring at them won’t change anything. You should just go there, help Kyrian draw the line with her. She needs to understand that you are his girlfriend,” Hori advised. But I wasn’t his girlfriend off camera. Discouraged, I looked away from their table. I had just realized that I didn’t have the right to be jealous. Even though there have been moments we felt we were in love and moments that we felt the opposite, our true relationship was still undefined. “What are you doing? You should go now,” Hori pressed. “No,” I shook my head sideways. “I don’t have to go.”“Why not?” Hori couldn’t believe her ears. “Are you kidding?” “You were right,” Sean
Connie’s POV “How about you start playing hockey again?” Kyrian asked me. As I tried to reply, I bit my tongue accidentally. The moment I let out ‘ouch’, he rushed to me, asking if I was okay. “Yeah,” I managed to reply. “What you said was so shocking that I got clumsy for a moment.” “Ah, is that so?” he asked. “Why would you suggest that?” I asked curiously. “It is true that at one point in my life, I used to play. However, I believe that chapter of my life has passed. I don’t have fond memories of the game.” “I… I was only trying to-” he tried to say. “I know,” I cut in. “You must have been trying to look out for me, maybe support me. However, the decision to stop playing was a carefully thought out one. Your spur-of-a-moment thought won’t change it.” “No,” he shook his head sideways. “I have been thinking about it for a long time, right from the moment you challenged Roderigo. You are obviously a talent and I think you can do great things.” “You are sounding like a coach ri
Kyrian’s POV Although my body was in the hall, my soul wasn’t. The only thing I thought of was the incidents earlier. The first was the sight of catching Sasha cheating with Daniel and Connie running off the moment she saw it. I was trying hard to understand but I couldn’t make sense of how she would run out like that when it wasn’t her man Sasha was sleeping with. It was already strange and as if that wasn’t enough, I saw Connie crying in her room earlier. Crying was being subtle, she was literally bawling her eyes out. I took a look at Connie and a look at Daniel. I had a bad feeling about this. Then I heard Pat’s voice, “You must pick a side, Connie. If you don’t agree with what they’ve said so far, you are free to say your own opinion and it will be put to a vote as well.” “Ah, nevermind,” Connie replied. “I will just pick a side.”“Then we shall commence the voting,” Pat said. “Stand if you are with Hori, sit if you are with Sarah.”Hori, Zarek, Sean, Sasha, Connie, and a few
"Were you not taught how to knock?" He turned to face me, his hands reaching out to cover his pelvic region."Ummm…excuse me." I snapped at him. "I didn't know you were here. And besides, I knocked on the front door several times.""Well…this isn't the front door." He snapped back. "Get the fuck ou
I stared at the contract document that Vress slid across the table, my eyes still wide from the shock and my palms still trembling slightly. I sat down back, and looked up at his emotionless face. "If I sign this." My voice came out less shaky than I was at the moment. "You delete the footage, yo
"No fucking way." "Yeah, that's what I thought when they told me too." I dropped onto my bed face first, my body stretching off the pent up exhaustion in it. Hori was standing in the middle of the room, one sock half off her foot. She'd stopped attempting to remove it the moment I started talking
"Are you fucking kidding me." Hori said, squeezing her face like I just said something offensive. "You really don't expect me to be a good fit with Chad…CHAD HENDERSON…Oh c'mon connie.""Well…I mean, he's hot though." I smirked playfully in an attempt to convince her since she was a crazy fan of ho
