LOGINMorgana Hamilton died betrayed, poisoned, and discarded like a pawn in her husband’s ruthless bid for power. Then she woke up. Thirty minutes before she would poison the most dangerous man in the West Coast—the Alpha King himself. This time, she refuses to be a sacrifice. Dante Hamilton is power wrapped in sin. Ruthless. Commanding. A man whose dark gaze strips her bare without touching her. He has always watched her. Always wanted her. And now that fate has given them both a second chance, the heat between them is no longer a secret—it’s a wildfire. To save him, Morgana must seduce him. To survive, she must betray her husband. But the deeper she sinks into Dante’s world of leather, dominance, and whispered promises in the dark, the more she realizes she isn’t pretending anymore. His hands on her skin ignite something primal. His possessiveness awakens the wolf inside her. And when he claims her, it isn’t just her body he takes—it’s her loyalty, her hunger, her soul. Yet power is never taken without blood. As secrets unravel, paternity scandals explode, and a kingdom teeters on the brink of war, Morgana must choose: revenge… or reign. Because this time, she won’t die a pawn. She will rise as Queen. And the Alpha who obsesses over her? He will either rule beside her… or burn the world down for her.

“I swear, once you get my father to drink this, I will change. The reason why I have been hard on you is because Father has been annoying me a lot lately. Once you get rid of him, I will become happier and be a different person for you. I will truly love you this time, Mor. We will start all over again.”
Ryker Hamilton—my husband’s voice—echoes in my ears for the millionth time tonight like a bad music playing on a loop.
I swallow past the thick lump in my dry throat and try to stop the trembling of my hands… but I can’t, no matter how hard I try. I squeeze my eyes closed and take a deep breath. In and out.
“Calm down, Morgana,” I whisper. “You are just going to serve him the whiskey like you always do. Nothing different, okay?” I try to assure myself that this is a simple task.
I open my eyes and stare down at the poisoned whiskey and glass on the tray again.
Having succeeded in calming down a little, I push my heavy legs forward and make my way to the VIP lounge upstairs before fear gets the best of me and I really change my mind.
Inside, the room is thick with the smell of cigars and arousal. On the couch, my father-in-law, Dante Hamilton, sits with his pants down between his thighs, and one of the club strippers kneels between his legs, choking on his shaft with reckless abandon.
Heat rushes down my thighs as I watch the scene—his fingers fisted into her hair, pulling her back and forth, his own head thrown back, the sounds of guttural growls tearing out of his throat, threatening to rip my eardrums apart.
Of course, this isn’t the first time I stumble in on him making out with the strippers at the clubhouse. Even though he is still married to my mother-in-law, he doesn’t stop his affairs, shoving them right on her face and it is one of the reasons why I agreed to help get rid of him tonight.
I feel my cunt clench desperately around nothing... heat pools beneath me.
Damn… it is annoying that I am still a virgin, but not for long. Because tonight, my love promises that once I succeed in my task, he is going to make love to me for the very first time since we got married three years ago.
So… I am determined to succeed at all costs.
I clear my throat to announce my arrival.
The King stares at me, his lips curling into a devilish smirk before he looks down at the stripper, spanks her ass, and barks out a command.
“Now, leave!”
The lady jumps out of her wits, quickly stands, and rushes out of the room.
He grunts, tucking his cock back in, which I don’t get to see—but fuck, I desperately want to see it because the ladies at the club won’t stop talking about how huge he is and how well he fucks them.
“Are you just going to stand there, daughter-in-law?” he sneers, his voice dripping with mockery.
I force a smile and walk slowly toward him because I might stumble from the tremors in my legs if I walk any faster.
Reaching him, I place the tray on the table before him. “I brought your whiskey, Father.” I am surprised my voice comes out normally.
Since I started working here three years ago, he has forbidden anyone else from bringing his whiskey except me; I am his personal whiskey girl.
No words from him. He just takes his cigarette from the ashtray and gives it a long drag, the smoke curling into the air.
I uncork the whiskey and start pouring it into the glass. Suddenly, his hand wraps around my wrist, making my chest slam hard against my ribs.
Did he find out that the whiskey is poisoned?
But h—ow?
I turn toward him. “W—what is it, Father?”
A moment passes before he smirks. That smirk though. Dark. Knowing. It often makes my heart race with something I can't really pinpoint.
His attractive stormy gray eyes rake over me like he can see past my darkest secret, like he knows his son has just sent me to kill him.
Then he releases my hand and relaxes back on the couch. “Nothing. Just playing around.”
Internally, I heave in relief and manages a smile at him. I hand him the glass. “Here.”
The King takes it from me, raises it in a toast, and throws down the drink, his throat working in a way that makes my stomach knot.
He drinks it.
He is going to die.
Fuck…
My grip tightens around the tray as I turn and walk out of the room. I can’t bear to witness the scene of him taking his last breath.
Once I click the door shut behind me, I let out a long, exasperated sigh. My knees buckle and I lean hard against the door to steady myself. A truckload of regret and guilt crashes down on me.
Fuck… I shouldn’t have done this.
The King might be ruthless, but he is the only one who has ever shown me kindness in my entire life.
But it is already done, so I reach for my phone in my leather pants and dial Ryker’s contact. He picks up on the second ring.
“It’s done.”
————
I wait there for close to twenty minutes before Ryker shows up with Delilah—my best friend—by his side, a wide grin spreading across their faces.
My brows furrow. Why is he here with her? Does she know about the plan? And besides, the both of them never see eye to eye, so why do they seem like friends all of a sudden?
I smile and meet him halfway. “I did it, my love.” My pride is evident. “Your father took the drink and he should be dead—”
Ryker cuts me off by pushing me out of his path and making his way straight inside the room. Even my best friend does not spare me a glance when I try to ask her what is going on between her and Ryker.
Yeah… I am not surprised at all. He has always treated me like this or even worse, but I expect him to be at least gentle tonight. I have helped him fulfill his dreams, so he is supposed to keep the promises he made earlier. Maybe—just maybe—he wants to be sure I succeeded before he changes.
I follow behind them and step inside the room to see Ryker checking on his father.
I peer forward to see the Great Alpha King slumped on the couch, blood dripping down his mouth onto his leather jacket.
Oh… Goddess, I shouldn’t have done this.
A moment passes before Ryker nods in satisfaction, but then he looks at Delilah. Not me, who has risked it all for him tonight.
Then Delilah lets out a loud triumphant laugh that echoes through the room. “We did it, babe!” she screams loudly, jumping up.
Dante’s POVIf Morgana keeps looking at me that way, I’ll do something I’m bound to regret. My sister is getting married. She should be my entire focus. I should be playing the part of the overbearing older brother down to a tee. Instead I can’t stop looking at Morgana. Fuck me. Is it the dress that hugs her body, tempting me to rip it off and take her in front of everyone?Or maybe it’s her eyes. Fuck me. They way she’s looking at me I can fucking guess what she’s thinking. Or it’s the way her scent reaches me from a distance, soft and floral and slightly different than I remember. It’s a mix of everything. And exactly why I should keep away from her. My wolf hasn’t stopped judging me for the previous night. For making her cry and sending her away in anger. What a bastard. I’ve given up explaining this to him over and over. She doesn’t know she’s my mate. As far as she’s concerned, I’m her father in law. Yet my mind wanders. Melissa is the one at the altar. Yet I think of M
Morgana’s POV:Today is the day. I can’t believe it’s been two days since I came to Las Vegas. It feels like two years. The festivities are a blur. First, I wake to the sound of commotion outside the door. Turns out Ryker was already up and getting ready. When I asked why he didn’t wake me, he mumbled something I couldn’t understand. Fine. That wasn’t a problem. I’m one of Melissa’s bridesmaids. The fact that I almost overslept on her special day is a slap to the face. I hastily get ready and head to her preparation room. Surprisingly, things are more calm inside. Her friends are composed as they help the stylists get Melissa ready. After a furious apology for my tardiness, I join them, my stomach fluttering with nerves as if I’m the one getting married. Three hours later, Melissa walks down the aisle, Alpha Dante leading her. It’s a lovely day, the sun is out, the air is loaded with the scent of flower arrangements, and birds twitter all around the garden. I swear these weren
Third person POVIn another hotel. Inside a secluded, private suite. Selene Harley, dressed in a dark purple silken robe, stares out of the open window overlooking the Split. She takes dainty sips out of a wine glass containing a liquid too thick and glossy to be wine. Her eyes are focused in the distance, such that one might think she sees someone in the blitzing light. Her demeanor is relaxed and peaceful. Long red nails tap rhythmically against the wine glass. The liquid inside doesn’t move. “Darling?” A deep masculine voice calls from the door. Selene turns, her full lips curving into a smile. “You’re late,” she says, tilting her head to the side. Her straight hair sweeps over her shoulder, the motion slow and seductive. The man walks in, a cocky smirk on his face. He comes up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist as he peppers soft kisses over her clothed shoulder. “You should be resting against tomorrow,” he murmurs, his grip tightening. Selene turns back to the
Morgana’s POVI stumble the entire way back to the suite. My head is stuck in a permanent disarray. I can’t think straight or even see straight. I keep replaying that conversation with alpha Dante over and over again. He knows. He’s know. And now he hates me.Everything makes sense. Why he hates me so much. Why he keeps looking at me like I did something horrible to him.Outside the door to the suite, I stare down at my hands. With these hands, I ended his life. I gave him that poisoned whiskey. I watched him drink it. I watched the life and light fade from his eyes. What possessed me?What sort of sorcery did Ryker use on me? was the prospect of him fucking me enough to make me commit actual murder.I shudder, hugging myself and trying to shake off the images.Back then I didn’t give it this much thought.I turn, glancing in the direction of Alpha Dante’s suite. He’s right to hate me. he’s right to never speak to me again or even see me again. If he reports me to the council, or even
Morgana's POVRyker watches me as I add the poison to the Alpha’s whiskey.“Add everything,” he instructs, his voice hard. Always hard. He just cannot pretend to be soft for too long. “I don’t trust that man to remain dead with the little quantity you put.”I do as instructed. I pour all the poison
Morgana's POVMy chest clenches so tightly that I can barely breathe. My stomach burns fiercely. I jolt awake, my breathing erratic as I sit up on the three-seater couch. But there is no blood spilling from my mouth and nose. I am neither in the grave nor in the afterlife.No. Far from it.I am in
Morganna's PovThe pit in my stomach deepens. What?!Babe?!She must have had a slip of the tongue.I expect Ryker to glare at her like he always does and tell her she is mistaken, but instead, he smiles. A smile he has never given me.“Yes!” he replies firmly. “We did it, my love.”My love?!I par
