Calla's POV

I take huge lungfuls of breath. I do not stop until my heart rate returns to normal.

He is even more intimidating than I thought he would be. He also didn’t seem to like me much.

How the hell am I going to live with him—for how many years?

The door bursts open and I whimper in fear as Blade Blackthorn frames the doorway.

Why is he back?

Does he have more to say to me? Or perhaps he wants us to mate now?

Oh God, I’m not ready for that. I don’t think I’ll ever be ready.

As if he can read my thoughts, he enters the room fully. He shuts the door and my heart skips a beat.

I’m terrified but there’s nowhere to go. All I can do is stay still as he crosses the room and hauls me into his arms.

Never could I have pictured us standing so close to each other. His hold is intimate.

He’s got the most piercing black eyes I’ve ever seen. Like a bottomless pit. Endless like the night sky.

He’s well over six feet tall and built hard like a wall of granite. And those tattoos.

They terrify me, the way they wrap around every inch of his neck. I’m willing to bet that his whole chest and back are covered in tattoos.

He doesn’t seem real. He’s way too good-looking. Way too intimidating.

And then, he’s kissing me.

My brain short-circuits. There are no words for what I’m feeling right now. There’s nothing I can do but let it happen.

He’s kissing me with an urgency that catches me off guard.

What happened to waiting until the next full moon? Why are his lips so pillow soft?

It’s all happening so fast.

Blade lowers his huge frame to the ground. He’s on his knees in front of me.

He’s gripping my hips hard enough to bruise. He holds me in place, as if he expects me to run away.

Even if I wanted to run away, where would I go? I doubt I’d be able to get far.

I hold my breath, watch transfixed, as he inhales my crotch area through my dress.

With frantic movements of his fingers, he hoists my dress up and pushes my underwear to the side.

I’ve never been handled so roughly before.

Never had any of this done to me. I’m not exactly surprised though.

It’s not like I expected a viscous brute like the Ash Creek Alpha to treat a lady with softness and care.

Blade buries his face between my thighs and I nearly jump out of my skin.

I’m shaking so bad and it’s a wonder I’m still standing. That’s when I notice the right grip he’s still got on my hips.

He takes his first lick of my pussy. He slides his tongue along my pussy lips, right before he settles on my clit.

I grab onto his shoulders. My heart’s racing. This is crazy.

Blade starts out slow at first and works up the pace.

It shames me to admit that I’ve touched myself a few times in the past.

The times I did it, I felt pleasure. Nothing like this though.

Oh my God.

The Alpha of Ash Creek has got his mouth on me and I seem to like it.

It’s so messed up.

Without warning, his tongue sinks deep into my core.

I can’t help it.

I moan.

It is alarming. It is shameful. I want to hide.

I writhe against him; struggle to get out of the bind his arms have got around my hips. It’s impossible to get him off.

He’s resilient. He continues to feast on my warmth. He sticks his tongue in deeper; alternates between tongue fucking me and pelting my clit with open-mouthed kisses.

“P-Please,” I beg. It comes out as a whimper.

Without taking his mouth off of me, he brings his eyes up to mine.

Intense black eyes glint with devious intent.

My mouth opens in a wordless gasp, as he dives in for my core again.

He rams his tongue in over and over again. His teeth graze my throbbing clit and I nearly lost it.

I tighten my hold on his shoulders while he continues to eat me out.

When I feel like I can’t handle the pleasure building up inside me anymore, that’s when I come.

I arch my back and let out a loud moan. My body trembles in wave after wave of shocking sensations.

His mouth is still latched onto me. He doesn’t let go until he’s swallowed every last drop of my come.

I want to crawl into a hole and die.

I think he’s about to take me to bed but he merely readjusts my underwear and drops the hem of my dress.

I avoid his eyes. I can’t bear to look at him right now. I think I might just lose it if I have to stare into those endless orbits.

“Shy, are we?” The taunting voice that meets my ears isn’t the same voice I had heard earlier.

This one is softer. Teasing. More sensual.

I look up.

For the first time, I noticed the differences in his face. It’s subtle. I only notice due to how close we’re standing.

Unlike the Blade I’d encountered earlier, this one has crinkles around the corners of his eyes. Laughing lines.

It dawns on me that this is not Blade.

This has got to be the twin that Bianca mentioned.

Even as the truth dawns on me, I’m hoping it’s not true.

There’s no way I’d have just done all of that stuff with a man who’s not my Alpha.

“Judging by the look on your face, I’m guessing you’ve figured it out.”

He swipes the corners of his mouth with his thumb. He does it so effortlessly that it makes him look even more attractive.

I step backwards. He prevents my escape by grabbing my arm. He holds me in place. Brings his face within inches of mine.

I fear he’s going to kiss me. I dread it.

“Hello Calla…it’s nice to meet you.” His double meaning is clear.

He’s so different from Blade. Yet so identical.

Brynne Blackthorn.

The Alpha’s twin brother had kissed my lips, between my thighs, and made me come.

I rip my arm from his grip. Disgust fills my face. Anger too.

I can’t bring myself to say anything to him and so I do the only thing I can think of to do.

I run.

  • RECLAIMING THEIR EX-BREEDER    Chapter 150: Epilogue; The Song Continues

Calla's POVThe courtyard was full of children.I sat on the low wall in the late summer sun and watched them tear across the flagstones … the same grey stones where, years ago now, they had once dragged me toward a cell. I had stopped flinching at that thought a long time ago. These days, the stones held nothing worse than scuffed knees and dropped toys and the long warm shadows of a good afternoon.Adele led them, the way she led everything. She was tall now; she was a teenager, her dark hair shaking loose from its plait as she ran. Behind her came the twins … mine, not their fathers', though the joke wrote itself and the whole pack made it. Two boys. Of course, it had been two. I had laughed and cried both when the healer told me, and Brynn had gone white, and Blade had sat straight down on the floor, and I had asked both of them what exactly they had expected.Cael and Bram. Four years old and already a conspiracy of two. They charged after their sister with wooden swords, sh

  • RECLAIMING THEIR EX-BREEDER    Chapter 149: Good News

Calla's POV Bianca came to see me three weeks after they named me Luna, and she came armed. She set a clay jug on my table, then a wax-stoppered bottle, then a small cloth bundle that smelled of honey and butter. "I raided the kitchens," she said. "Don't tell anyone. The Beta isn't supposed to steal her own pack's cakes.""The Beta can do whatever she likes," I said. "That's rather the point of being the Beta.""Nobody told me that part." She dropped into the chair across from me and put her boots up on the bench the way she had since we were children. "They told me all the other parts. The dull ones."I poured for both of us. The room was warm. The sun came through the high windows and lay across the floor in long gold bars, and somewhere down the corridor I could hear Adele's voice, high and bossy, ordering some poor pup around. For three weeks now, I have been learning to live quietly like this. Quiet that did not have anything terrible waiting underneath it."So," I said. "How

  • RECLAIMING THEIR EX-BREEDER    Chapter 148: Moonlit Claim

Calla's POV The door to the royal chambers closed behind them with a heavy, final thud. The noise of the lingering celebration faded to a distant murmur. Only the crackle of the low fire and the soft glow of moonlight through the tall windows remained.Calla stood between them, with her heart already racing. Blade’s hand rested at the small of her back, warm and steady. Brynn’s fingers brushed her hip. They had led her here from the gallery without a word, but the air between them had thickened with intent the moment they stepped inside.Blade moved first. He stepped behind her, sweeping her hair aside to expose the slender column of her neck. His lips brushed the sensitive skin just below her ear, soft at first, then open-mouthed, sucking the tender flesh gently. Calla shivered, a quiet sigh escaping her. Brynn mirrored him on her other side, kissing a slow trail down the opposite side of her throat, teeth grazing lightly before his tongue soothed the spot.“You’ve been so stron

  • RECLAIMING THEIR EX-BREEDER    Chapter 147: The Howling

Calla's POV The oldest of the council came forward. He was a stooped man, his beard white as frost, his hands shaking on his staff. He had stood behind Seraphine not an hour ago. Now he stood before me, and he bowed his head, low and slow."Luna," he said. The word cracked in his throat. He swallowed and tried again. "Calla. Daughter of no pack. Mate of our princes. Mother of the cure."The courtyard was silent. Even the wind had gone still."Do you accept this responsibility?" he asked. "To be the Luna of this pack. To uphold its laws and guard its young. To stand for the weak when the strong forget themselves. Do you swear to fulfil it to the best of what you are, for as long as you draw breath?"I looked at him. Then I looked past him, at the faces behind him. Hundreds of them. Faces that had watched me dragged to a cell. Faces that had wept for a plague they thought I carried. Faces that had called me a curse. They were not looking at me like that now.I set Adele down. She cau

  • RECLAIMING THEIR EX-BREEDER    Chapter 146: The Clearing

Calla's POV"Is it finally over, Mummy?"Adele's voice was small and tired. The question was barely more than a breath against my neck. I turned to look at her in my arms, at her pale face and dark eyes still ringed with shadows, and I pressed my lips to her forehead."Yes, baby," I said. "It's finally over."I turned then, looking for Blade. He stood half a step behind me, his eyes on the crowd, on the ruined walls, on the new day threading light through smoke. I caught his sleeve, and he looked down at me, his brow lifting."There's someone else I want to save," I said."Who?""Elowen. I want her out of that cell." I held his gaze, steady, unflinching. "I don't know what you think she did, what crime your father believed she committed. But she is a good woman. And frankly…" my voice caught, cracked, steadied again, "…she is the reason we survived. She told Adele what to do. She prepared her. Without that, Tyson would still be walking."Blade's jaw tightened. He exchanged a look with

  • RECLAIMING THEIR EX-BREEDER    Chapter 145: The Rot King

Calla's POV I followed the bad smell inside. The palace had turned sour. I dragged myself toward it. My left leg was still broken; it would take a little while to heal from the fall, and every step sent a sharp pain through my ribs that made my vision swim. I left bloody footprints behind me as I grabbed hold of the wall to push myself forward. I didn’t care. The only thing that mattered was ahead; I needed to go and help my mates no matter what. The great hall was barely recognizable. Everywhere was filled with dead bodies and blood. Blade was in his wolf form. He was massive; his fur had blood all over it. I didn’t know if it was his or someone else's. He circled low, his belly brushing the stone, his lips peeled back from fangs that dripped with saliva. Every time he lunged at Tyson, he moved, his body bending at angles that should have snapped his bones, his grey hands catching Blade’s jaws and tossing him aside like a pup.Brynn fought as a man. He moved like water. He twis

Calla’s POV “You!” I open my mouth to cuss at him because in truth, that’s what he deserves. I’m not the same Calla who had put up with his incessant teasings and subtle innu
