"Please, don't leave me."
Alan laid on the floor, the palish blue hospital robe clinging to his slender frame. He lifted his head, revealing his delicate features and reddened eyes stained with tears, "Don't leave me, i beg of you, please." He sobbed deeply, his hands desperately clinging to a pair of fair, slender legs. Feeling unwilling to actually let go of the person, he held on, his grip tightening around the tender, smooth flesh - like as though it were his last saving grace. "Alan- Let go of me!!", a shrill, feminine voice grunted in displeasure. She scrunched her nose, feeling repulsed by Alan's constant refusal to come to terms with his truth - his new reality. The fact that he had fallen from his high place of fame and fortune, now desolate, impoverished and also not fit for the eyes. "Please, Abigail.... You can't leave me like this. You're everything I've got left". Alan's voice cracked up, his tone filled with shameless pleading - he was scared......scared of the possibility that she would leave him if he let go right now. Afraid that she would disappear the moment she turned her back on him..... " Let go, goddammit!!", the displeased Abigail swung her leg, giving Alan a swift kick to the gut. The tip of her expensive heels coming in contact with Alan's abdomen as he rolled over, curling up in pain....a sharp groan escaped Alan's lips, cold sweat pouring down his face as he tried to contain his agony. "Do you even know what you look like right now?. Huh!!", anger simmered in her grey eyes, her shrill, highly pitched voice ringing in the quiet ward. She lowered her eyes, casting a disdainful look at Alan's curled up body as he laid on the cold white tiled floors; there was nothing she hated more, than a man who had been plunged down into the depths of failure. Doomed to be a nobody in society, having to scrape by each day by scavenging for thrash, she has never wanted to be associated with the likes of them. Alan, ignoring the pain tearing through his abdomen, crawled on all fours. Tears brewing hot in his eyes as he tried moving his partially limped body towards the blonde haired lady. "Abigail.... You promised to love me. You said we were meant to be together and forever at that." Abigail lips twitched in annoyance, unable to comprehend why this man seemed to fail in understanding her simple sentiments. It seemed that this man fancied provoking her on whim and at this point there were no other beneficial explanations for this. Abigail smirked coldly, a condescending glint flashing through her eyes as she arched her perfectly shaved brows with a calculative look. Quietly dipping her hands into her limited edition spring summer Hermes bag, slipping out a small foldable mirror she often used in touching up her makeup. She walked up close, elegantly crossing her long legs as she squatted, holding the mirror before Simone's bandaged face. "Have you seen what you look like now?." She paused, waving the small, bronze mirror around, wanting to be certain that Alan had truly seen his pathetic situation clearly. "Have you?". She spoke in a mockingly calm tone, a chilling smile tugging at the ends of her rouge stained lips, the gloss sparkling under the light. Alan shook his head in disbelief.....not wanting to believe that the reflection that he was staring at was his. Where had his charming self gone......How, just how could this person possibly be him. He raised his head, long strands of coffee brown hair falling down his tear stricken eyes. He dared not look directly at Abigail's face......he knew he couldn't possibly look at her, not in this state he was in. "What's it popstar...... Why don't you want to look at your reflection?. Or is it that you can't stand the ugly sight before you?" Abigail sarcastic words were like a cold bucket of water on a snowy morning, pouring over Alan's frame, washing away his delusions and leaving him shivering with sudden realization. He gripped his hospital clothes, his nails digging into his thighs. "N..no!!. No, this isn't real". He knelt, his hands feeling his face, tracing the tightly wrapped gauze. "This can't be happening, this has got to be a nightmare....yes, it's a nightmare - an absolute nightmare!!" Abigail smacked her lips, her eyes glinting coldly as she watched the confused and panicking Alan. "Is it now?." "B-B-B-But. I....i could still -" Alan's eyes darted around frantically, his lips trembling as he tried making coherent speeches. Abigail laughed, her fingers now twirling with the tip of her permed blonde hair. "You could still..what?!. Do you think that you can still make use of your voice....or do you think that you'll ever be able to make it on stage with that disfigured face of yours?" Alan knelt, his back hunched over, his spirit heavily crumbled. He fought back the thousand voices in his head, each one two times as venemous as the last. Each one mocked him, called him useless... discarded, he held his head, the ache becoming unbearable. She sighed, resignation evident on her polished face. " I'm afraid, that's all your wishful thinking. But it doesn't hurt to dream, does it?", she smirked disdainfully, standing up to leave. " Alan, it's over between us. And i hope that we never cross paths again..... also, it was fun while it lasted." She pulled the door knob, glancing at Alan's defeated frame with a weary look. " A friendly reminder; i suggest that you snap out of those empty delusions of yours and boldly accept your new fate.....as a dirt bag, rejected by society. It's rather in your best interests if you did so!!". Alan stared at the slammed door, watching his world spinning until everything became dark and mute. Here was his eternal abyss, with no escape doors, no windows and no one to guide him towards the light. He remained still for god knows how long, his knees still pressed against the cold tiles and the scent of antiseptic hanging in the air.Alan laid on his bed, his feet kicking wildly in the air as he munched on sunflower seeds. His fingers scrolling through countless media articles expressing shock and disbelief about the Gu's sudden asset liquidation. Some even going as far as calling it a ' high famed construction giant at the brink of bankruptcy ', but the comments were actually the icing on the cake. The netizens had spared no costs, every section was filled up with curses and random threats - if they weren't just paranoid, they could have passed on for trolls. He chuckled, rolling over to his side with absolute delight. Blissfully ignoring the dark figure leaning against the door frame, watching him quietly while he's busy cheering at his family's downfall. "You seem awfully glad today, anything you'd like to tell me?", Zeke's voice fell, his deep tone sending shockwaves through Alan's body. He froze, his lips gaping in shock. Then he snapped out of it, his fingers pointing at Zeke's amused smile with a tone ful
Amelia held her phone, sitting at the back seat - her once calm gaze turning complicit. News of the company's assets liquidation had spread around like wildfire, alerting the shareholders and placing her in a strained spot. Worse still, every attempt made to curb the situation had proven to be futile. She groaned softly, her delicate fingers pressed against her throbbing temples. This situation had spiraled way out of control, with the ongoing project underway, this could prove to be fatal.Amelia stared at her assistant through the rearview mirror, her voice firm, "Head back to the company, i've got important matters to settle". "Yes, ma'am", the assistant nodded, his back stiffening. His grip on the stirring wheels tightening as he spoke, his voice low. "And also... ma'am, there's been calls from the chairman".Amelia shut her eyes, a slow, dull anticipation hitting her chest. The old man called? Guess he already saw the news. She leaned back, relaxing into her car seat, " What did
At the Gu family's villa..... Old Su and Old man Gu sat at a table of Go, their quiet, aged eyes locked on the 19×19 board with grave seriousness. Around them, tall lush trees swayed in the warm, afternoon breeze; casting shadows over their slightly hunched figures as they focused on the game.Old Su cleared his throat, sizing up the small board with a heavy gaze,"Old Gu, about your son .... don't you think you went a bit too far this time?", he picked up a small, black stone from the goke; pressing it between his calloused fingertips before pinning it in the midst of Old Gu's camp. He let out a soft exhale, staring at the move he'd made with satisfaction as he leaned back just enough to relax his stressed body. Old Gu furrowed his brows, his stern eyes focused on dissecting the move his old pal had made. Then he let out a low snort, "That brat won't learn any other way, he's just an unfilial waste of efforts".He paused. Placing his white stones two intersections forward, he compl
"Boss, the job's wrapped. I've compiled every list of shares held in the company, not one information less. There's a file attached, everything else is awaiting your orders"." Hmm~", Zeke stood with his back to the dark figure, wiping his hands with a towel. His sharp, piercing gaze fixated on the pot of porridge simmering on the stove with a slow, satisfied nod. "Have the next phase initiated,i want all assets liquidated by dusk. Let's have the Gu's corporation hanging on a thin thread"."Sure boss!", the dark figure lowered his head in a quick nod, his rough eyes lingering on the boss's broad busy figure stir- frying vegetables by the stove. Even when preparing meals, the boss's aura had diminished a bit - the stark contrast made his eyes twitch. How far was the boss willing to go for that pretty boy's sake? Even declining himself to mere kitchen chores, at this point, there was absolutely nothing he wouldn't do.Slow, steady steps descended from the stairs and Alan's slender figur
"I guess that leaves me with tails", Zeke beamed, tossing the coin into the air. He watched it flip over three times before landing on his thumb. Alan held his breath, craning his neck so he could get a closer look. Zeke stared at the coin, a small chuckle escaping his lips - he glanced at Alan, a mysterious glint flashing through his eyes. "So.. which is it?", Alan asked, his clenched fists hanging loosely by his sides, unable to contain his anxiety any further. Ezekiel ran his tongue over his thin lips, his gaze holding more suspense than a whirlwind cliffhanger. He stroked his smooth chin, raising a perfectly arched brow, voice barely above audible, "It's...." "It's what?"Zeke raised his eyes, watching worried creases form above Alan's usually smooth forehead. He was already rocking himself while chewing on his fingernails, looking almost at the verge of losing his cool.Zeke gave a devilish grin, revealing a perfect set of white teeth. "It's tails".The room went perfectly st
Wait.... What?! Alan blinked, his lashes fluttering in a stunned gaze. Ezekiel, taking advantage of Alan's momentary confusion, wrapped his arms around Alan's waist. With a small tug, he pulled Alan close, slamming his slender frame against his hard muscles - close enough to catch a whiff of Alan's hazelnut scented shampoo. He leaned in, letting his nose run through Alan's hair before burying his face in the nook of his neck, all while ignoring Alan's constant vain attempts at breaking free from his grasp."You smell so good, Alan", Zeke sprayed hot breath on Alan's sensitive skin, which had turned red from embarrassment. A slow, satisfied moan escaping his dry, raspy throat.Alan bit back a moan, his sanity overwhelming his desires. He gave up struggling, it was absolutely pointless at this point - Zeke clearly had a tight grip on him. So much for calling him fragile..."Mr Ezekiel, your behavior right now is unbecoming. This is a violation of my rights and i demand that you let me g
"Cheers!!!" Hot steam rose beneath the bright lights, accompanied by the sound of wine - filled glasses clinking together and cutleries against porcelain plates. Alan sat far off, his almond eyes lingering on his rather drunken employees who were still lost in their merriment with a rather ind
" You ungrateful little twerp!!" Alan settled his calm eyes on the aged man sitting on one of the luxurious sofas, accompanied by two women. He blinked silently in confusion, his head tilting slightly to the side. "After all i've done raising you..... You still dared to commit such a crime, em
[Mission successful!!. 300 resentment points has been deducted!] [ Fifteen points has been successfully rewarded!] Alan tossed the shopping bags into the car, quietly listening to the mechanic drone of the system analyzing his reward with slightly arched brows. He adjusted his shades, his hands
[Resentment meter is currently at : +100] Alan rolled his eyes subconsciously - There goes his chance to have a lovely, carefree day. His thin brows knitted with upmost displeasure, here he was stuck with an over pampered young master. A flimsy feud over an overpriced two piece clothing...... How
