Chapter 8: Her Words, His Imagination

last update publish date: 2026-07-17 07:50:21

“I’m sorry Kisha,” she repeated, like that would fix the hole in my chest. Like that could erase all the pain I was feeling.

God it hurts. It fucking hurt so much.

I closed my eyes for a second, trying to catch my breath, to keep myself from collapsing on the floor.

“Kisha please,” she said, stepping forward towards me again.

“ I didn’t mean it. I just_”

“Don’t you dare touch me, mom!” I screamed.

She flinched and froze, her hands still halfway towards me.

She took a step back, her face twisted with guilt.

You don't know what I’ve been through with the world of lies you created. Dad, Ethan and Sebastian do not consider me family all because of you, they see me as their enemy.

All my life, I kept thinking if I obeyed, never disagree with my father that he will eventually love me and accept me to be his own, but no! It’s all lies. Am just his puppet that he can get rid of anytime.

He told me that every time he sees me, I remind him of Morgan, my father figure. To be honest, papa Morgan was way more of a father to me than my own father. He loved me despite the fact that am not his flesh and blood, he cared, he stayed till he can’t no more. He loved you mom. How could you betray him that way? How could you forget him like he meant nothing to you?

“Because he meant nothing to me! nothing, absolutely nothing Kisha” Yes! I did love him but in the end we were never meant to be. He was just a stupid carpenter that I fell for abandoning my husband and sons. It was never real. That kind of magic never existed, it was all a camouflage. Reality slaps hard in the face when it hits you.

“No one is ever prepared for the truth Kisha. I mean no one.”

G-get out. Get the hell out of my life, I don’t want you around me can’t you get that one message.

Out! Out of here, far away from me. I despise you Marla.

Kisha was frantically pulling her hair, thrashing everything around her, her world was spinning.

“What’s happening here?” The nurse barged in due to the noise coming from the inside.

Miss Prime, look at me, I am not a threat to you.

Gently, the nurse approaches Kisha and injects her, making her fall asleep. Kisha struggles with the nurse till the injection starts taking effect on her. She felt drowsy and slept off.

Ma’am please you need to leave. The patient is stressed already and she needs rest.

She nodded, okay nurse please just make sure she gets the best treatment and please keep me updated.

She walked out with tears streaming down her cheeks. The confrontation she had with Kisha wasn’t planned. She wasn’t ready to talk about Morgan even though she knew deep down that sooner or later she’d face the truth.

How? How did we get here my dear?

How did we ever get so distant? You mean the world to me.

How do I explain to you that Morgan abandoned his own family to be with me, leaving his son and wife behind to live a life that isn’t real. “I don’t want you to be heartbroken Kisha dear.

Marla wanders in thought”

Corey, can’t stop thinking about Kisha. He wants to go back but keep scolding himself to let her be.

She looks so frail. What on earth happened? Shouldn’t she be happy that everything turned out great as she wanted it to be?

I was willing to bring the world to her feet without her having to ask for it but she fuck it all up. She’s dark and shallow.

My heart belonged entirely to Kisha Prime.

A faint, almost invisible smile appeared on his lips not from joy, but from bitter resignation. Once again, he closed his eyes tightly, trying to contain the storm raging inside his chest.

Who would have known? That the CEO of Legacy Woodwork, Stark city's most influential business tycoon, would feel so invisible to a complicated woman like Kisha Prime.

Corey squinted, unsure whether to laugh harder or to feel irritated.

Yet beneath his disbelief, something struck him, an idea to know the origin of what happened. He was certain Kisha couldn’t have made the decision to walk away on her own.

Corey shut his eyes tightly imagining Kisha’s body, her moans; he was hard as rock. His lips were on her before she could even protest. His kiss wasn’t soft. It was filthy, claiming like he owned her mouth and everything that concerns her.

“You’re wet already, aren’t you?” he growled against her lips, placing his hands up her inner thigh.”I barely touched you, and you’re fucking soaked”

She whimpered, pressing against him.

“I couldn’t stop thinking about you” she was far too gone. Too turned on. Too obsessed.

She wore a black lace thong, delicate, low-cut, barely covering anything. Her throat was dry and pulse was pounding between her legs. Her thigh parted slightly, needy, aching, inviting.

Corey grabbed her thigh, rough and demanding, lifted her like she weighed nothing. Then his finger traced from her inner thigh to her wet pussy, slow and deliberate. Her body reacted instantly. Her skin tingled, and got breath caught.

She gasped, her back arching as his fingertips found her clit, slick, swollen, and already aching for more. He didn’t ease her in.

He shoved town fingers deep into her pussy, thrusting hard and fast, filling her so suddenly her thigh jerked.

“Fuck! Corey growled, watching Kisha’s face twist as he clenched around him.” So fucking tight.

“Please,” she wisphered, voice cracked and needy.

A moan slipped out of her lips, sharp, breathless, raw. She didn’t care if anyone heard. She couldn’t think. His fingers were fucking her slowly, curling just right, dragging her against her walls in a way that makes her leg shake.

Corey’s footsteps echoed across the wet concrete as he entered the abandoned mill. Every instinct screamed that something wasn’t right, the building was too quiet, too still. It reminded him of a predator waiting patiently for its prey.“Mr. Lawson.” Shawn lowered his voice, "I've searched the perimeter and there’s clearly no sign of movement.”Corey frowned. That doesn’t mean we’re alone. His eyes swept across the vast warehouse, broken machines, rotting timber, dust dancing beneath narrow beams of light. Everything looked frozen in time, except, one light glowed upstairs.“Kisha.” He whispered her name before climbing the old staircase. Upstairs, Kisha refused to look away from Robert Prime. You’ve lied to me my entire life, I find it so hard to believe whatever crap you’re saying.Robert smiled faintly. No, my mistake was that I simply allowed others to tell you their version.“You manipulated me.” Kisha was angry, she was bent on telling him how miserable of a father he is. You use

The rain had finally stopped. Dark clouds still lingered above Stark City, refusing to surrender to the morning sun. Kisha sat alone in her living room, the old photograph resting on the coffee table. Her fingers traced the faded edges for what felt like the hundredth time. The little girl in the picture was undoubtedly her.The little boy standing beside her… Corey. How could that be possible? She searched her memories desperately. Nothing, not a single image or a single voice. Not even the old timber mill looked familiar. Her head began to ache. “No…” She whispered to herself. This doesn’t make any sense. The sound of her phone vibrating startled her, unknown number. Her heart skipped. She answered cautiously, “Hello?” Silence. Then, a calm masculine voice spoke. “Some memories are buried because they were never meant to be remembered.” The call disconnected. “Kisha?” She stared at the phone in disbelief. Who knew her name? Who was watching her? At Legacy Woodwork, Corey had

The silence inside the hospital room was unbearable. Kisha sat motionless on the edge of the bed, her fingers tightening around the white blanket. She could still hear Brenda’s voice. “Corey will probably be waiting for me.” The words echoed in her mind like a cruel melody. She laughed bitterly.“So this is what heartbreak feels like.” She wasn’t angry, not anymore instead she was exhausted. Her heart had simply grown too tired to fight.A soft knock interrupted her thoughts.“Come in.” The door opened slowly. It was the nurse. “Miss Prime, the doctor has discharged you. You’re free to leave whenever you’re ready.” Kisha nodded while whispering, “Thank you.”The nurse hesitated for a second, there is… one more thing. She handed over a small cream-colored envelope. It was delivered about twenty minutes ago, but it doesn't have a sender’s name.Kisha nodded as she received the envelope. “For me?”“Yes.” The nurse smiled politely before leaving. The room became silent once again. The silence inside the hospital room felt heavier than before. Kisha remained seated on the edge of the bed, the folded letter still trembling between her fingers. She had read the message more than five times, yet the words refused to make sense. If you want to save Corey Lawson… come alone. Her heartbeat echoed loudly in her ears. Who sent it? Why now? And how did they know everything?A knock on the door startled her. She quickly slipped the letter beneath her pillow. “Come in.”Mama Uyioku walked in slowly, leaning on the nurse for support. Despite the weakness written across her face, the warmth in her smile remained unchanged. “My stubborn girl.”Kisha forced a smile. You should be resting, Mama.“And leave you alone with that troubled face?” Mama chuckled softly before taking a seat beside her. I’ve watched you since you were little. Every time you’re hiding something, your eyes become restless.Kisha lowered her gaze. “I don’t want to drag anyone else into my problems.”“My ch

The room was silent except for the steady rhythm of the heart monitor. Kisha lay motionless, staring at the white ceiling. Brenda’s visit had left a bitter taste in her mouth. Every word she had spoken replayed in her mind like an endless recording.“Corey and I went out for lunch…”“His mother treats me like a daughter-in-law…”“He needs stability.”Kisha let out a dry laugh. So this is what my life has become.A knock interrupted her thoughts. “Come in.”The door creaked open slowly. Mama Uyioku stepped inside with the help of her walking stick, refusing the nurse’s assistance.“My sweet girl.” Kisha immediately sat upright. Mama, you shouldn’t be walking around. “And who are you to scold an old woman?” Mama teased with a faint smile.Despite everything weighing on her heart, Kisha couldn’t help smiling. “You never listen.”“I learned from you.” They laughed softly. For a brief moment, the world outside disappeared. Mama reached for Kisha’s hand.“I saw Brenda.”Kisha’s smile vanishe

“The smell of doom” Brenda thought wandering aimlessly. How and why should she compete for his love? Okay that’s fine by her but for fucking attention, that’s absurd!I want what I want!, whatever madness it takes to ruin him totally, I'm gonna do it anyway. She was boiling with rage inside, rage from the fact that she had to dress up extravagantly with heavy makeup just for him to come up with a pathetic excuse of not wanting to see her.Seems like the battle line has been drawn, Corey Lawson.“I’ll make sure you fall head over heels for me so that you won’t be able to focus on anything or anyone else but me.” She smirked. Her imagination runs wild, her and Corey together on a get away boat. Enjoying their life to the fullest, making out on the island, stroking his dick as his sanity goes in search for her soul. She can feel it. Almost everything he is doing to her mind, soul and body.
