Alana’s POV

“Don’t ever fucking sleep with him!”

“Don’t fall in love with him!”

My uncle reminded me over and over again. Every time, I answered firmly that I had already promised countless times I would never fall in love with him.

“Baron, NEVER!” I said as I shoved clothes into the open suitcase lying on the bed.

The person he meant was Connor Savagaz—the son of our enemy.

Rumor had it that the man was incredibly handsome. They said any girl who looked into his eyes for more than three seconds instantly fell in love. And once they fell for him, they supposedly lost all sense of reason.

But honestly, I thought those rumors were complete bullshit.

Baron sat in his wheelchair. He rolled closer to my room and stopped beside me. I knelt in front of him. His large hands gripped my shoulders, patting them gently as he said, “I’m just afraid you’ll get swept up by the rumors surrounding him. In the end, you might fail to avenge our family against Pack Savagaz.”

“Because the only thing that can stop revenge is… love,” he continued.

I shook my head firmly. “I promise, Baron. I, Alana Reed, will never fall in love with the son of the enemy who murdered my parents!”

My uncle gave a faint smile. His grip on my shoulders tightened. “I believe you. Once you obtain the Lunar Sword, kill them all. Take back everything they stole from Pack Reed. Then come home.”

I nodded confidently. I stood up, picked up my suitcase, and gave him a brief hug.

“I’m leaving, Baron. Don’t forget to take your medicine. I left enough savings for you to live on while I’m gone.”

“Wait for me to come back in one month,” I continued.

Because I had already promised myself I would only search for the Lunar Sword there for one month. After that, under the full moon, I would slaughter every last descendant of the Savagaz bloodline.

He nodded slowly. “Be careful, my niece.”

I left our small house and headed to Faang Academy—the academy for young wolves owned by Pack Savagaz.

Eight years ago, when I was only eleven years old, the leader of Pack Savagaz, Alpha Alaric, had slaughtered my family. They killed my mother and father, stole everything we owned, and left only me and my uncle, who was crippled by the war.

Now my rank had fallen drastically—from a future Luna to an omega. All I had left was my sickly uncle, who depended on regular medication and could not work at all.

For the past eight years, I had worked tirelessly to support the two of us. From morning until afternoon, I worked as a maid in the homes of wealthy betas.

For seven years, I had trained without rest, preparing myself for this day of revenge.

But to kill them, I first had to find the Lunar Sword hidden somewhere around Faang Academy. That legendary heirloom sword was the only weapon capable of killing the descendants of Savagaz. According to legend, their bloodline was nearly immortal. Ordinary weapons could not kill them.

Only the Lunar Sword could.

And I was going to take it.

I boarded the train heading to Faang Academy and chose the very last car. Sitting alone on the worn-out wooden seat, I stared out the window. The trees rushing past couldn’t distract my thoughts.

My hatred for Alpha Alaric Savagaz and his family had reached its peak.

What I could never accept was when he murdered my parents right in front of me. My father’s head was sliced off with one swing of his sword, and then… his rogues raped my mother’s corpse in front of my eyes. I still remembered every single detail—the smell of blood, the cut-off screams, and their savage laughter. It was a hell that had never faded from my memory.

That was why I could never forgive them for as long as I lived.

For seven years, I had been preparing for this moment. While other girls my age spent their days laughing with friends, dreaming about mates, or living peacefully inside their packs, I spent mine drowning in blood, sweat, and hatred. Every single day of my life revolved around one goal only: revenge. I trained relentlessly until my muscles burned and my hands bled, forcing my body to become stronger no matter how many times I collapsed from exhaustion. My uncle taught me how to fight, how to survive, and most importantly, how to kill. I learned how to use knives, how to move silently through the dark, and how to strike before my enemy could even react. At night, while the rest of the world slept peacefully, I hunted alone in the wild forests surrounding our village, tracking dangerous creatures through freezing rain and darkness just to sharpen my instincts. Fear stopped existing for me a long time ago.

The entire family of Alpha Alaric Savagaz… and the whole Savagaz Pack, were waiting for me.

The future Luna of the pack they destroyed was coming back. I would take back every right they stole from me and make them pay for every drop of blood they spilled.

While I was lost in thought, staring out the window, a tall man sat in the seat beside me.

“Excuse me,” he said softly.

I turned my head. The man was incredibly tall, around 6’3, with messy brown hair and a pair of sharp blue eyes. He was wearing a navy-blue uniform with red trim. It was the elite uniform, worn only by students from influential families at Faang Academy.

His gaze drifted to my black uniform with white trim—the Wolf uniform for omega students—before a small smile appeared on his face.

I immediately tightened my grip on the bag resting on my lap, my entire body going tense the moment he sat beside me. My fingers curled tightly around the worn fabric strap as instinct took over. I was fully prepared to fight back if he dared to mock me or look down on me like the others usually did. Upper-class wolves like him often treated omegas as if we were beneath them, like weak creatures born only to obey and entertain stronger wolves.

“You’re a student at Faang Academy?” he asked in a friendly tone.

Well, he really did sound friendly.

I nodded slightly. “Yeah. I’m a new student admitted through the scholarship program.”

His expression instantly brightened. “Oh, then I’m your senior,” he said with a light laugh. “Nice to meet you, new junior.”

“And… welcome to Faang Academy.”

ALANAWe were greeted by a line of servants dressed in black-and-silver uniforms, standing in perfect formation on either side of the grand staircase. Every one of them bowed respectfully to Connor. The entire atmosphere shifted.I could feel their eyes drifting toward me, silently judging me from my shoes to my face before stopping on the small Omega pin still fastened to my academy uniform. Whispers spread quietly among them—not loud enough to make out the words, but enough to make my ears burn."Alpha Connor."A middle-aged woman descended the staircase, dressed in a formal black gown with a silver wolf-head brooch pinned to her chest. Her expression was cold, her sharp eyes lingering on me before turning to Connor."We've been expecting your arrival.""Aunt Morgana," Connor greeted her curtly, his tone formal and emotionless. "Where's Father?""Alpha Alaric is entertaining guests in the main hall," the woman—Morgana—replied. Her gaze stabbed into me again, making no effort to hide

ALANAThe drive to the Savagaz Pack territory took nearly three hours. We followed a winding road that gradually shifted from the city into dense forest, then opened into vast grasslands—a clear sign that we had entered the territory of a powerful pack.Throughout the trip, the silence between us was broken only occasionally by the soft music playing on the car radio. But the words we'd exchanged that morning still lingered in the air. They hadn't truly disappeared, even though we were both pretending they had."You really were jealous," Connor finally said, his eyes still fixed on the road ahead, though a faint smile tugged at the corner of his lips.I turned toward him, ready to deny it, but the words caught in my throat. I was too exhausted to keep lying to myself."Yeah," I admitted quietly. "But it wasn't me who was jealous."Connor raised an eyebrow and shot me a brief glance. "What do you mean?""My wolf," I explained, staring out the window so I wouldn't have to see his reacti

  • Slipped Inside the Alpha I Hated   17: A Jealousy

ALANAThat morning I was already standing in front of Connor’s door at six o’clock, a small bag hanging from my shoulder, ready to leave for Pack Savagaz the moment he stepped out. The academy had already given official permission after Connor himself ordered it, so all I had to do was wait. Nothing left for me to arrange.I leaned my back against the wall, counting the minutes in my head while thinking about what waited for me there. The heart of the family that had slaughtered my parents. The place that might, finally, hold the Lunar Sword that had eluded me for so long.Connor’s door opened.I straightened, expecting him to walk out. Instead, a woman appeared—long black hair a little messy, wearing a thin dress that was clearly not meant for leaving the house, only for slipping away quietly before the sun fully rose. She stopped the second she saw me, eyes narrowing as she looked me up and down with an unpleasant smile.“Oh,” she said, her tone full of deliberate curiosity she was

ALANA"I'm ready," I said again, more quietly this time, even though my heart wasn't entirely convinced by those words.Connor studied me for a long moment before giving a slight nod."All right. But this ritual can't be performed casually. I have to speak with my family first, especially my father. Only the official ritual master of Pack Savagaz knows the proper way to perform a mate bond rejection.""Your father?" I repeated, my heart pounding at the mention of that word. The man who had murdered my parents."I'm returning to the pack tomorrow," Connor continued, completely unaware of the storm raging inside me. "It might take a few days to arrange everything."For a brief moment, neither of us spoke. The silence stretched between us, heavy with everything we refused to admit. His fingers twitched at his side, as if he wanted to reach for me but forced himself to stay still. I hated how my heart reacted to that tiny movement. We were talking about ending our bond, yet standing this

CONNOR"You want to reject the bond?" I repeated her words, my voice far calmer than it had any right to be."Fine," I continued, pulling away from her and getting out of bed. "I'm not interested in a mate bond either. I still need to focus on building my future as the strongest alpha."I picked up my pants from the floor and pulled them on with quick movements, keeping my back to her so she wouldn't see my face.Because if she did, she would know I was lying.Ever since I was seventeen, I had known something was wrong with me. Every other alpha at this academy could catch their mate's scent from a distance, even before meeting them face to face. But I never could. For years, I believed it was just another curse carried by the mysterious blood running through my veins, another sign that I was never meant to have a weakness like a mate bond. I was created for only one purpose. To be a weapon. And tonight, somehow, the miracle I had never asked for finally found me.Ever since that fir

ALANAUh, Moon Goddess… He called me “Baby” for the first time. The word sent a powerful surge of arousal straight through my core, making my inner wolf howl with raw hunger.I answered him with a needy whimper, my voice husky and dripping with lust. “Mmm, fuck… call me your Baby again while you claim this dripping pussy, Alpha. I want to feel how hard you get for me.” I pulled his face down to mine and kissed him fiercely, letting my actions speak louder than anything I could say.I have no idea why I said that, but I guessed it was my wolf. Then, Connor yanked his shirt off in one swift motion, revealing his perfectly sculpted body. His broad chest, rock-hard six-pack, and that deep V-line disappearing into his pants made my throat go dry with need. His hands then moved to the elegant white gown I’d been wearing since the Bonding Ceremony. Slowly, almost reverently, he pulled it down, his eyes never leaving my face, silently asking for permission with every inch he exposed.Every br
