ELIAS’ POV
The hum of the car engine filled the suffocating silence that always came before my father decided to speak. My eyes were fixed on the tinted windows but I could still see the faint outline of the mountain ahead. We were on our way to Mortlach Academy, a place that shaped leaders, warriors and heirs that the world expected me to be. Every heir had to attend the moment they turned 21 and I just became of age to attend. “Elias, you are not just my son anymore, you are the future Alpha of Silverhaven Pack. Every move you make reflects on our Pack. Do you understand?” “Yes sir.” I kept my head up as my fingers dug into the seat to head my nervousness. He didn't look at me which was usual whenever he was lecturing me. “You are the future Alpha of the biggest pack, they will challenge your authority, strength and bloodline. You should never show any sign of weakness or flaws that can be used against our Pack.” Weakness. That word always hit me hard. My heart rate increased and I inhaled slowly, trying to be extra careful not to let my real scent leak. I couldn't afford my secret to be exposed, especially not around him. “I won't,’ I answered, keeping my tone calm and stable. “You and mom trained me better than that.” He nodded in approval but it wasn't enough to ease the tension in my chest because beneath my well tailored and ironed suit, was an omega who has been trained to act like an Alpha his whole life, and the suppressants my mother brew to hide his scent and omega instinct running through his veins. I was a disgrace my mother polished and controlled. I was her only child, her miracle child and she was ready to sacrifice it all for me. She was the main reason why I was still hiding. If my secret gets out, it will destroy both of us. The car slowed down as we reached the grand iron gates of Mortlach Academy. The guards bowed as our car drove in. When the car stopped at the main building, I got out after my father and saw students walking in groups. Their scent is thick with dominance and pride, making me want to put my head down in fear but I dare not. My father patted my shoulder. “Go make Silverhaven proud and no matter what you do, stay away from Crescent Pack. They are nothing but trouble.” The Crescent Pack are our greatest rival but after the last war that took place 30 years ago, we finally came to a truce even though the bad blood was still running in our veins. Crescent Pack and Silverhaven Pack made sure to avoid having anything to do with each other and it has become an unspoken rule in my Pack to never associate with Crescent Pack. “Yes sir.” I walked into the school building as my father's car drove away. My wolf stirred nervously within me as I felt dozens of eyes sizing me up, assessing me. My omega instinct screamed to lower my gaze and avoid notice but I didn't. Instead, I lifted my chin, squared my shoulders and met their stares head-on, just like my mother trained me to. Here, I wasn't an Omega, I was Elias Thorne, future Alpha of the Silverhaven. The son of power and dominance. That was the perfect lie I had to continue living in. As soon as I got to the reception, I was given the key to my dorm room, a map of the school and a book of the rules and regulations. I located my dorm room by following the instructions from the receptionist. Room 89. I took a deep breath and pushed the door opened. The room was bigger than I thought, there were two queen sized beds, two desks and a pair of every single thing in the room. ‘It seems we will be sharing a room with another Alpha or Beta. That's definitely not intimidating at all,’ Carlos, my wolf said nervously. “We'll be fine,” I assured him. “We just have to follow mom's instructions just like we have been doing for the past 21 years without getting caught.” I unpacked my stuff in the right side of the room and decided to take a bath to wash off all the stress from the long trip. Mortlach Academy was established by the Council elder and was not under the control of any Pack which was why it was located close to the mountain faraway from all the Packs. I stepped out of the shower in a towel and stood in front of the mirror. Discharging the towel on the bed, I put on my briefs before I took out a shot of suppressants and injected it into my arm. My eyes shot close as I felt the suppressants taking effects as it travelled across my body to suppress all my Omega instinct. The door was suddenly pushed open behind me. “Didn't expect to be greeted by something this sexy,” a deep voice said and my eyes widened before I quickly threw the syringe into my drawer. I masked my fear with anger as I turned toward the door. “Don't you know how to knock?” “Do I need to knock before entering my own room?” He said as he walked in with aura and dominance emitting from him. He was taller and bigger with a broad chest with a sleeve tattoo on one which was visible because of the black tank top he was putting on. His green eyes stared into my soul, making me freeze on my spot. “Are you going to keep staring at me, Hot stuff?” He raised his eyebrows at me before his eyes scanned me from head to toe as he licked his lips. I cleared my throat and quickly averted my eyes from him. Feeling uncomfortable by the way he was staring at my body, I quickly grabbed my clothes and put them on. “This semester just started and it looks like it's going to be an interesting one.” He chuckled. His scent was so strong and powerful that made me want to cower in front of him. It was obvious he was an Alpha. I controlled myself to keep my head up high as I addressed him. “Since we are going to be roommates for the entire session, I believe an introduction would be proper,” I began. “I'm Elias Thorne, Alpha Heir of the Silverhaven Pack. Freshman.” He smirked. “That's funny.” He stood up and moved closer to me. “I'm Rowan Vale, Son of Alpha Gerald Vale and the second Alpha Heir of Crescent Pack. it's my second year.” Crescent Pack? You have got to be fucking kidding me.Finally, Elias and Rowan story is officially over, and I have to say it was one hell of a roller coaster ride. ELIAS'S POV Five Years LaterThe morning of the coronation dawned gray and cold, but I didn't feel the chill.I stood at the window of my childhood bedroom, no longer a child's room, but the quarters of the heir who was about to become Alpha. The Silverhaven mansion sprawled below me, servants rushing through the courtyards, guests arriving in sleek black cars. Banners bearing the Silverhaven wolf hung from every lamppost.Today, I would become the Alpha of Silverhaven Pack and the leader of the Big Six.My father had announced his retirement six months ago. The council had debated, the elders had deliberated, and the Moon Goddess had given her sign, a lunar eclipse that bathed the pack lands in silver light, lasting exactly as long as the ceremony would take. There was no question. It was time."Honey, it's time," Rowan said from the doorway.I turned. He leaned against the frame, arms crossed, a small smile playing on his lips. At thirty-nine, he was more handsome than ever, the sh
ELIAS'S POVTen years. That's how long it had been since we graduated from Mortlach Academy. Ten years of weddings and births and pack leadership and late-night group phone calls that always ended with "we need to do this more often."So when Selena suggested we build a vacation house, neutral territory, outside the Big Six packs, no politics allowed everyone said yes.The house was enormous. A sprawling mansion on the edge of a lake, surrounded by forests and mountains. There were enough bedrooms for all of us, plus a game room, a pool, and a backyard that seemed to go on forever.I stood on the porch, watching the chaos unfold.Rowan appeared beside me, slipping his hand into mine. "The kids have been here for twenty minutes, and they've already broken a lamp.""That's a new record.""Lily cried. Micah blamed the twins. The twins blamed each other." He leaned his head on my shoulder. "It's going to be a long week."I grinned. "I can't wait."The first night, we all gathered around t
KAEL'S POVGabriella had decided to stay in Silverhaven instead of returning to Nightbourne Pack after Elias and Rowan's wedding. She said it was because she wanted a break from pack politics. I suspected it was because she wanted to be during the school break.Either way, I wasn't complaining. It benefitted my plans because I had been thinking of how to ask her to stay in Silverhaven without being suspicious. We spent the first week doing nothing at my personal house, sleeping in, cooking together and taking walks in my new neighbourhood. She laughed more than I'd ever seen her laugh and seemed more relaxed, obviously to my plans."You're being weird," Gabriella said one evening, watching me pace the living room."I'm not being weird.""You've been checking your phone every five minutes. You asked me what my favorite flower is. You've been humming the same song all day." She narrowed her eyes. "What are you up to?"I stopped pacing and sighed. “Fine, you caught me. We are going somew
ELIAS'S POVIt took us six months to plan the entire wedding to our satisfaction.Every Alpha from every pack was invited. The guest list stretched across the entire werewolf community, and the ceremony had to be held in the Great Hall of Silverhaven, the only venue large enough to accommodate the hundreds of attendees.I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting my ceremonial robes. White and silver, the colors of Silverhaven Pack. A small wolf's head pin on my lapel, my father's, passed down through generations.Silverhaven has always stuck to their traditional ways of holding wedding ceremonies especially for their future leaders."You look nervous," Kael said from the doorway."I'm not nervous.""Your hands are shaking."I looked down. He was right.Kael walked over and straightened my collar. "He's waiting for you out there. He's been waiting for months, so have you." He met my eyes. "You've got this."I took a breath. "Thanks."He clapped my shoulder and left. The music began, sof
ONE YEAR AND FOUR MONTHS LATER ELIAS'S POV I stood in the graduation gown, the silver tassel brushing my cheek, and looked out at the sea of students and families filling the Mortlach Academy stadium. Beside me, Rowan shifted, his shoulder pressing against mine. He was nervous. I could feel it in the way he kept adjusting his collar, the way his foot tapped against the ground. "Relax, you're going to be fine," I whispered and he nodded before taking a deep breath. The academic awards were announced and I topped the class, no surprise there, given how many nights I'd spent studying instead of sleeping. Rowan had come second, which was nothing short of miraculous considering he'd had to relearn two years of material in less than one. Silva had taken third, and she'd grumbled about it for a full ten minutes before Selena reminded her that top three her final year was nothing to be ashamed of. We concluded the ceremony with all third year students receiving their graduation se

ROWAN’S POV Seeking peace with Silverhaven was the official reason for this visit. But if I was being honest with myself, the real reason my chest felt too tight and my palms wouldn’t stop sweating was Elias.I had missed him in a way that went beyond logic or pride or politics and it was getting
