VALENTINE “Boss, you need to see this," Marcelo stormed in with a stern expression written over his face.“I'll be right back," I gave Cleopatra a gentle pat on her hands and walked away with Marcelo. We walked together into the car.“This is the last footage from the accident scene," He passed a tablet with a video playing. A black Mercedes Benz car rode speedily heading to Cleopatra. Cleopatra froze at a spot when the headlights intentionally flashed into her eyes. Like a flash, the car knocked her out of the road. But one thing rang a bell; the car. It was one of the cars Rossetti bought recently. Bile rose high in my throat. My hands curled to a fist. He was behind this. My lower jaw clenched tightly, " Take me to the house.” Marcelo nodded and started the ignition. He propelled the car towards the mob house. I sprang out of the car the moment he drove in. Charged by fury, I marched to his study. I barged in.“Valentine…" He called me with a lopsided grin.“Leave us!!!"

VALENTINE Marcelo had a smug look on his face. His eyes glinted, almost like he was teasing me. I looked away and began to leave for the doctor's office.“I was able to watch the CCTV footage…" My feet hung midair. VALENTINE I felt her pain through our eye contact. Tears trickled down her eyes. It was as though she knew what I had done. Her gaze turned to a frightful one. Slowly, she lowered her head and kept crying. I got into my car and drove out. On my way out, I saw two body bags lying side by side. I guessed it was Andrei and his beloved. Halfway to the mansion, I got a call from Rossetti.“Your work isn't complete, Val." “I did what I wanted." “The job was to wipe out the family. The daughters are still breathing." I cringed. “I don't kill children. Your client should do the rest," I tightened my grip around the steering wheel.“That was part of your job. You have to complete it," Rossetti barked.“Too late. The kids are in safe hands," I said, happiness bloomed in me. I was glad that at least the children were in safe hands.I arrived at the mansion and ended the call. I marched to Rossetti's study. VALENTINE The temperature in the room was terribly hot. I felt suffocated in my outfit. I scanned the area, my target was nowhere to be found. I picked a flute of drink from the waitress. She threw me a cocky smile and winked at me.The walls vibrated at the loud sound of the classic blaring from the speaker. While I walked gingerly, scrutinizing the place. I felt a bump behind me. A small squeal followed and then a thud. I turned around. It was my target's little girl. She rubbed her forehead with a cute pout on her face. She looked up to me with a smile, “I'm sorry Sir," She apologized and tried to stand up. I stretched my hands to her. CLEOPATRA I rounded up shopping and decided to check up on Aunt and Andrew. I boarded a taxi that stopped me at Aunt's place. The house was in ruins. Dirt littered around and furniture turned over. A part of the house had been completely demolished. "Aunt!!!! Andrew!!!!” My voice returned to me. No one was there. I walked out of the house to the neighborhood.
