Dalia's p.ov.

I can't look away, and the more I stare at him the quicker my pulse gets. Jaden coughs to capture my attention, but it is still not enough to tear my eyes away from him. He holds my face by the chin and turns me towards him.

Does he know how sorry I feel right now standing up here with him. Jaden looks like he is going to explode with anger. He obviously noticed who I was looking at. But I couldn't help myself.

"Repeat after me," the officiant says, eager to get his part over with. "I Dalia Shaw take you Jaden Baker to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in poverty and in richness, to adore and revere you till death do us part," I repeat after him.

"You may exchange the wedding rings," I slide his ring down his middle finger. He starts with the engagement ring I never got and finishes with the wedding ring. I hate how perfectly they fit me. Like they were made just for me.

"You may now kiss the bride," the officiant says.

Jaden doesn't wait to be told twice. He grabs me by my waist and connects our lips. It's our first kiss, and it is deep but it doesn't feel passionate but more like a punishment.

I let my tears fall as the kiss seals my fate.

When he pulls away, he gives me a look that I cannot decipher. I am really married to a man I don't know. I move a step away from him. What the hell have I done?

We are standing at the alter, staring at each other as the hall fills with loud applause. "Move closer to each other," the photographer says, interrupting my thoughts. I wait for Jaden to come closer to me but he doesn't. As for me, at this moment I am not sure I can even move.

"Just take the damn photo already," Jaden snaps when it becomes clear that neither of us is ready to move close to the other. I look at the camera for as long as I can, but I eventually give in and look at my Hansel just as he takes the photo.

No one will ever look at our first picture and mistake us for being in love.

The photographer tries to take two more pictures of us but they don't turn out any better than the first. He finally gives up when Jaden walks down the altar to greet his visitors.

I am left standing there alone like a fool. Everyone is more interested in the bridegroom and making sure he knows that they showed up to his wedding.

Two ladies almost trip me up, as they rush to where everyone is, surrounding my husband. I might as well be invisible. Just when I am about to walk down the altar myself, someone grabs my hand and pulls me away.

"Where are you taking me?" It is Hansel and no matter how much I try to pull away my arm, he won't let me go. He takes me out of the main hail through the side door.

He leads me to a storage room. "You're hurting me," I say, when we are inside the room. He stops and lets my hand go. "What are you doing here?" I ask, rubbing the wrist he was holding with my other hand.

"What am I doing here? What are you doing here?" he is clearly mad and he is not even trying to hide it. I get why he is mad though. "You disappeared more than six months ago, you just left. We were discussing marriage and one day I get home and find a note saying that you're sorry but there is something you had to do and I should give you space. I have been looking for you like a maniac scared that something happened to you only to find you on your wedding day," his broken heart is breaking mine.

I stay quiet, scared that if I start talking I might end up telling him everything. I wish I could, but he gets careless when he cares. Even if I were to tell him and he understands then what I already signed a contract, a contract that binds me for life.

"You have nothing to say to me, after all those years you have nothing else to say to me," he is getting frustrated. He runs his fingers through his thick wavy hair. There is nothing I can say to him now. I lost all right when I signed that contract.

He kicks the chair near him and I flinch.

He looks back at me. "Is it because he is rich?" he knows me better than that, he has to. I just continue to stare at him, helpless. "We were going to have children and move near the beach, after all we had been through we were finally happy. At least I was, and I thought you were too," he looks away and wipe the tears from his eyes. I was, I was really happy.

I will never forgive myself for hurting him.

I should say something, I need to say something, anything. I start to open my mouth but no words come out.

"Where did she go?" I hear Jaden's voice in the hall way. He can't find me with him. I don't know what he is capable of, and I am not willing to find out. He might spare me, but he certainly won't spare my Hansel.

I need to say something that will ensure he doesn't follow me when I walk out of this door. Something that will crush him completely. Something that will save his life.

But I can't find my strength. "Check all these rooms, I can't loose her on our wedding day," I hear his voice getting nearer. "I wasn't sure until I met Jaden, that was when I knew what I felt for you wasn't even love. I just convinced myself that it was because you are a good guy," I say it clearly and watch as all hope in his eyes is extinguished.

Let this be the last thing I do for you, I am setting you free. I walk to the door without looking back. I open the door and my eyes immediately lock with Jaden's. I close the door behind me so he doesn't see Hansel.

I hear him kicking more chairs but I continue walking away from the love of my life to my greatest enemy.

"What were you doing there?" he says, walking towards me. "I needed to find a quiet place to breathe," I cross my fingers that he doesn't check the room.

"Is that it?" he asks, looking at the direction of the room. "What else? It is not like anybody would miss me," I retort which makes him look at me.

"Honestly you could have a wedding by yourself, and nobody would have cared," I have never felt as alone and lonely as I have felt today.

If this is what the rest of my life is going to be like, I am going to break down. I just need to find Delilah, that will shake things up.

He takes my hand and lead me to the hall. Everyone turns to look at us, but this time he doesn't let go of my hand. "Let's go home," he whispers to my ear.

I nod. Anywhere is better than here.

People follow us until we get into the chauffered limousine. He undoes his tie and open the two top buttons of his shirt. I serve myself a glass of champagne. I need a drink after everything that has just happened.

"Who is he?" he asks, staring at me. I freeze. What does he mean? Did he know I was in the storage room with him? Is it because I couldn't look away from him as he recited his wedding vows?

"I-I-I don't know what you're talking about," I answer nervously. I try to ignore the fact that he is giving me a death glare and down the whole glass of champagne.

The rest of the ride he says nothing. I expect him to insist but he doesn't. When we get to the house, I am shocked by its size and grandeur. He holds the door for me and I step out.

I am still admiring the magnificence of the house. Its lights are on and it looks like a high end hotel instead of a house. He lifts me and throws me on his shoulder. "What are you doing? Put me down," I am yelling, but he continues walking to the house.

I wait for him to put me down when we enter the house but he continues carrying me until we are inside a room. He throws me on the bed.

"What are you doing?" I look around at all the BDSM equipments around me. "What are you doing?" I am getting scared.

"You lied to me," he says, as he takes off his shirt.

Dalia's p.o.vI have been driving for one hour, trying to lose the trail. I noticed I was being followed when I was still near the mansion.I had made plans to meet Rowan, but she is a bit of an outlaw. I am sure she will not appreciate Jaden knowing about her hacking into his network. She is the only person who knows of my connection to Delilah, and why I am married to Jaden. I would like to say that we are friends, but she is just someone I met by chance. She happens to be good at hacking even the most secure and complex networks. That is what I needed, and she figured out my intentions soon after.I make another turn and after confirming that I won’t be able to lose the tail, I stop in front of the massage parlor.“There she is,” one of the women sitting at the reception says as soon as I get in. “Jaden’s new piece?” another asks shamelessly. They are clearly not worried if I overhear. “You can clearly tell someone who is born high class and someone who sleeps her way to the top.

“Get me a towel,” I say to nobody in particular. “Here ma’am,” it is the woman who had woken me this morning.I take the towel and start drying the boy. He is still staring at me with his big eyes and a smile on his face.I look up to find Jaden glaring at the boy. He looks frozen. I lift the boy so we are all face to face. “Who is he?” he obviously knows him.He is not even listening to me. The boy’s arms are linked around my neck and his cheek is brushing against mine.“Hey, Sir,” I try calling him, but nothing.“MARLA!” He shouts suddenly scaring the boy who starts crying. “There, there,” I pat him on his back and he lays his head on my shoulder.“What is wrong with you?” I ask Jaden. He turns to me and gives me a cold look that makes me take a step back.Just then another employee comes running in.“Yes boss?” her eyes land on the boy and I see terror in her eyes. What is it about this boy I am holding that makes people go white with fear?“I am so sorry,” I am not sure what she i

  • TILL DEATH DO US PART.    CHAPTER SEVEN; A CHILD FROM NOWHERE.

My whole body is sore. I turn to the other side of the bed and see that it is already morning. I am curious of what usually goes on around here. "Ma'am," comes a female voice from the other side of the door. "Yes," being called ma'am is weird. "Your breakfast is ready," she says, as I get out of bed. I open the door to find a middle aged woman waiting patiently, like that is what she is made for. "Thank you, I will be down in a minute," I tell her, hoping she would go away. "It's okay, I can wait. Take your time," she says it with a smile. I want to argue, but decide against it. I take a quick hot shower, feeling the water ease my entire body. I know she said she could wait, and I don't doubt it. I am just not used to people waiting on me. After the shower, I put on the clothes closest to me. "You know I could find my way to the dining room," I still feel uncomfortable with the whole arrangement. She leads me to the elevator. One floor down and we enter a dining room with a go

Dalia's P.O.VHe grabs me and gets me off the bed. "What are you doing?" I am still in my wedding dress. "Stand there," he points to the mirror. I am afraid to see where he is going with this, but I am even more terrified of defying him. I stand in front of the mirror staring at the terror in my eyes. He walks behind me. I close my eyes when I feel him touching the back of my neck. His hands are cold and I get goosebumps. He slides his fingers slowly down my back, up to where the zip begins. He slowly unzips the dress. He reaches underneath the undone dress and wraps his hand around my waist. He pulls me back against his bare chest. He burries his face in my neck, and the dress slowly falls to the floor. "How could you be looking at another man on our wedding day?" he whispers in my ear. I open my eyes and try moving away from him. He tightens his grip on me. I look at the mirror. His face is still burried in my neck and all I can see is his black hair. "I-I was not," I mutter, b

Dalia's p.o.vI have not seen Jaden since that night in the hotel. He has been sending me expensive gifts almost everyday. It is his way of making sure I don't back out before I sign the contract. I really shouldn't go ahead with my plan. But what if Delilah is not dead? What if she is somewhere waiting for me to save her and I cowardly back out? No matter how much I think of it, I keep going back and forth unsure of what to do. I guess I'll just have to wait for the wedding day and do what I feel that day. ****************I have been waiting for this day and dreading it at the same time. I couldn't even sleep last night. I am on my way to get some more coffee when the bell rings. It's Jaden. "Hey, morning," I say stepping back. "Morning," he walks in and darts his eyes quickly across the room. "It's not even six yet," I complain, walking to the couch. "Today is going to be very busy. I thought we should get this out of the way," he gets the contract and hands it over to me."Do
